I tried brunch and wished there were items not just trying to be different but fabulous. Can’t even request eggs to be cooked a certain way. Please keep offering brunch but offer more and better. Fresh juices, etc

Our waitress was very helpful in making suggestions and selections across all parts of the menu. We tried the special poke, Grouper and the sticky date pudding. Everything was very well cooked and high quality but the sticky date pudding stole the show. We were left mischievously licking the plate. Love the new location on the square. Will be coming again very soon. Maybe tomorrow to have the sticky date pudding again.

Just reopened on the square; I could not wait to get there and went in for dollar oysters on the first night. The menu is little changed(a very good thing, don’t mess with success). The food promises to be as good as ever. The location will fit nearly three times as many people and it looks like it may become a hipster place. That is fine, as long as they let me in. I found it more noisy than I remember the other location but I will not be fussy. I could sit in silence, without conversation, while a train went by, to eat Seth’s fabulous food. I was pleased to have my feet on the floor instead of elevated on bistro type tables as were prevalent in the old location, good change there. Service is the same attentive high standard. The evening was paced extra slow, they want you to enjoy your food here, don’t even think«quick meal.» I respect the French reverence for good food eaten slowly in good company and will be interested to see how the service is paced after they get into the new swing. Welcome back!

Expensive. Some of the options are worth the price, but others, not so much. The food is always fresh and great tasting! I’m also glad they stopped charging customers to drink water, that was a little ridiculous. Also, $ 2 oysters on Sunday!

We went for brunch, not as busy as i had assumed it would be. Service was really friendly, extremely informative; I really loved the French style oyster and she explained where they got the ingredients for the mignonette and everything. She also drew a little cat on our bill which was awesome. They do have just regular water now so you don’t have to buy bottled if you don’t want to. We ordered a couple different oysters, all were tasty(although the amount of cocktail sauce on the traditional style was a little excessive) and we ordered the grazer with 3 extra items because we suck at self restraint. All the things were really tasty on it but this is where I deducted a star because it says it comes with fruit and olives and we did not get any of those things(came home and double checked the menu just to be sure). Other than that, we will definatly try them again.

Unique. Indulgent. A constantly fresh menu with options for every palate. The Sunday brunch melted my face off it was so good. Mimosas for days and decadent sorbets. The brioche french toast was so good I wrote about it in my diary. The oysters were so fresh they walked to my table and sat down. If you want an unforgettable experience like nothing else in Bloomington, check out this this cozy purveyor of culinary goodness.

Can’t believe we didn’t try this place until we were leaving Bloomington! The food was excellent, the service outstanding, and the ambiance seemed more San Fran than strip mall. We started with a charcuterie platter of braseola, prosciutto, and cheese, followed by a lobster roll(served with salt-and-vinegar chips!) and the Vietnamese meatballs — all outstanding. And we went all-in with the Quattro Leche cake. Given the quality of everything, the price seemed reasonable. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in B-town.

Came back to bloomington after a couple years and decided to check this place out based on Unilocal reviews. Nice modern décor, personable staff, but lame options for vegetarians and a sucky ‘berry’ tiramisu. Consisted of overly soggy ladyfingers surrounded by a weird reduction sauce that did not at all pair with the berries and chocolate. All of this was topped off with unremarkable presentation. I guess i will keep going to feast for the rest of my trip here.

I’ve eaten at No Coast Reserve several times, and their menu always has delicious options. The first time I had Kimchee soup and clams in saffron sauce, both of which were outstanding. I’ve also tried their appetizer shrimp(they may be tiger prawns?) along with a variety of other entrees and desserts. I have never been disappointed. I have never tried the items on their raw bar as they don’t interest me as much, so this review covers only their cooked food. My only complaint is that they do not offer soft drinks outside of a few bottled craft items(Ginger soda).

Good: –Great atmosphere. Super modern and hip, yet modern. Loved the seating, though maybe don’t sit at the bar. Way too narrow and had to move to table. –Great options in the menu. No idea where the fresh seafood is coming from in the middle of Indiana, but I have no complaints about the quality of the fish. –Asparagus salad is So creative and so delicious. Bad: –My oysters weren’t clean. There was still sand and other goo on them. I was pretty disappointed in that, that seems like something they could easily fix. They tasted good but I have had better oysters before. I would definitely go again! I wouldn’t order take out though — food wasn’t as good when I got home.

I am not sure what’s with the negative reviews, I am just glad that I tried this place before I leave Bloomington for good. I had the lobster roll, scallops and shrimps, they were all very fresh and I’m impressed, given the fact that you are in Bloomington. I will definitely be back again!

I’m giving it 2-stars as the only thing worth talking about was our server! We ordered from the Raw Bar! They were OUTOFCEVICHE! The Raw Oysters were their special but took an hour to shuck! We were livid, to the least! The Chicken Pâté looked like it was thawed! I know it WILLNEVER be back!

Lots of great beers here and I understand this is a gourmet restaurant. But Jesus Christ got a «lobster roll» here for $ 27 that I could honestly eat in 3 bites. I mean great food at ridiculous prices in a comfortable atmosphere. Did have phenomenal service though. Prolly because no one was there spending $ 30 on a couple bites of food.

Such fun people and service! I ate their chorizo tamale at the Farmers Market with their homemade hot sauce. Wow. That hot sauce is HOT and delicious. I smothered it on my food. Can’t wait to go to the restaurant!

I am so happy to see No Coast so busy on a Friday. Incredible oysters and seafood selections. They also added a great new fall menu. Seth the(head chef?) is so wonderful. Every time we dine at the bar he is so friendly and nice to chat with. Keep up the great work! Try the Wionna(sp?) oysters – delicious!!!

I’m still wondering where all the fantastic seafood we had for dinner tonight came from — fresh oysters are just not something you see much in Indiana. We had ours Louisiana(Bloody Mary and lemon) and Mexico(salsa verde and lime) style, but they were so delectable you wouldn’t need any toppings to enjoy. Dinner was a lobster roll and three salmon tacos served in fresh lettuce wraps instead of tortillas — both dishes well balanced so as to enhance but not overpower the lobster or salmon. I finished with the seasonal kimchi and pork soup, which was so tasty that I finished the bowl and ordered a second to take home. The food is as good as any I’ve had in Bloomington. My only concern was the lack of other customers. I hope this place makes it, because I’d like to keep eating here!

The fixed menu dinners at No Coast Reserve are excellent. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The head chef, Seth, is personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed discussing the Belgian cuisine he prepared and he took lots of time to answer our questions. I have also had the sandwiches butcher block used to serve. No Coast offers them and an extensive menu of sides during lunch hours. So so so good.
