Completely disappointed with the costumer service at this hotel. First of all nobody, I mean nobody! Is staying at this hotel. My husband and I came to do a mini getaway from the kids and to celebrate my birthday and when my husband called to inquire about the jacuzzi rooms he was told he could just make a regular room reservation and we could request the jacuzzi room at not additional charge if it was available which it was going to be since they were not at all busy during this time(the same we had been told last time we came here and had a pleasant visit). We show up to the hotel and they are not willing to change it unless we pay the difference. The manager is not being able to be reached at this time and of course this is how our getaway gets started. So not at all happy and will not be coming back or recommending it to anyone anymore.

This ranking should be negative infinity — DONOTSELECTFORWEDDINGVENUE From the moment we started discussions with the hotel as our venue to the end of the wedding we had problems with every single thing the hotel was required to handle. Here, I’ll just list the worst of the worst. 1. After selecting a package that included 4 hours of unlimited wine/beer, LESSTHAN2WEEKS before the wedding we were informed that we were provided with the wrong price and we will NO longer receive the 4 hours of unlimited beer/wine. Even after forwarding an email where I specifically asked if there were additional charges for the package we selected and it was CONFIRMED that only tax and gratuity is additional, the GM sent an extremely rude email: Your options are as follows: a. Add kegged beer and additional hor’s to meet you minimum(as suggested previously) b. Pay for 4 hours open bar c. Or simply not meet your minimum and we will cancel the wedding due to breach of contract Please let us know how you would like to proceed. Thanks, We knew full well what our contact required, that was never the issue in our discussions, which I tried to explain. The problem was that we were given the wrong price, the wrong price was confirmed, and it wasn’t until less than 2 weeks before the wedding did anyone catch their own mistake. It would be one thing if an apology was given to us because they gave us the wrong price and if there were willing to work with us because of THEIR error, but that was not at all received and we were met with hostility. 2. The hotel wedding coordinator /banquet coordinator DIDNOT show up the day of the wedding! 3. The cheese tray we received in our package had MOLDY swiss cheese. The staff was informed by our guests 25 minutes after it was served, to which they removed the food, but did not provide any additional cheese. 4. It was promised that some appetizers would be held for the bridal party, while pictures were being taken. This did NOT happen and we had to request that at least 1 part of the appetizer be sent to the head table an hour after appetizers were closed. 5. The banquet room was insane warm(it’s August with 215 guests), when we asked staff to turn down the AC we were then informed«The AC is broke… it is what is it.» We learned from another staff member the AC had been broken for 6 weeks and no plans to repair are in the works nor did they inform the people paying for the room. 6. The food served at the reception was not at all what we sampled. We sampled a fried chicken breast, but at the reception we received fried chicken dark meat. The dark meat of course contained bones. The food served was cold and had the rubbery taste of being under a heat lamp for too long. The consistent feedback from our guests is that the food was not good at all. 7. Upon trying to check in, there was no record to have a separate bride and groom room the night before the wedding. They had two separate rooms for the bride and groom the night of the reception though. I spent 30 minutes explaining that it needs to be the other way around. 8. Per our contract, the maid of honor, was to have an additional complimentary room the night of the reception and that was not recorded in their system, which shows a contract violation. It took another 30 minutes to fix this additional check-in error. 9. There is no actual housekeeping number. The phones in the room won’t dial it. Therefore I called the front desk for additional items in the room and was informed, «we are short staffed and you can come get it yourself.» These are the top issues we had to deal with during our stay and selecting the wedding venue. The amount that we paid for this wedding and the service we received was an extreme deficit. We were extremely disappointed with all things this vendor was expected to provide.

I stayed here for business, a bit wary from reading prior reviews. Since the room was booked for me, I didn’t really have any say in where I was staying. My first thought upon pulling in is that since the hotel is separate from the conference center, it’s a bit confusing on where to park and check in. But once I found it I was ok. Check in was quick and efficient. The lady at the desk was pleasant. From what I noticed, the lobby, while set up strangely, was clean and modern looking. I noticed they had popcorn out for patrons, which was cute. I was given a room on the 1st floor, right around the corner from the lobby and the restaurant. I was a bit wary about noise, but at night it was quiet. The morning was a bit louder, but I was already awake so it wasn’t a big issue. The room itself was nice. It was clean and spacious. I was given a single king room, and it was perfect for me. I also noticed a mini-frige and microwave in there. The ONE thing I was a bit«meh» about was the bathroom. It was small. You could barely get in and then shut the door. And it was only a stand up shower. I didn’t necessarily mind that. It was a spacious shower, but the shower head sucked. The was barely any water pressure. I have thick, long hair and washing out the shampoo and conditioner was a nightmare in this shower. That’s the only thing I took offense with. Despite my issue with the shower, if I find myself in the Bloomington area, I’d stay here again!

This review is for the Mothers day brunch only as we did not stay at the hotel which seems to drag the ratings down for this place. As for the brunch it was really good for the 25.99 per adult. The prime rib and turkey at the carving station were top notch. Hickory bacon was great along with the bacon wrapped pork filets abundance of fresh fruit and pastry, omelet station, hash browns and french toast. And if the pants were not already getting tight the dessert table will fix that key lime pie, Carmel cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries, assorted cakes big I highly recommend this as a Mothers day option.
