I have been here many times, and have always had a great experience! The food and drinks are very affordable. The staff is very quick and friendly. It is a great place to go with a group of friends. I have not been disappointed by a show yet!

This is my favorite go to place when I want to see up an comers as well as established comics. Seats were great and the service very good! Great time!

BEWARE of the positive reviews given… people are promised free tickets for them!!! I wouldn’t even give it one star. This establishment was filthy… The ladies bathroom was out of order and the other was dirty and the toilet paper was laying on the floor. If the bar staff weren’t staring at their phones, then the conversations were about the«hook-ups» among each other. Seating lacked and getting a drink after the show started was near impossible, we waited almost 45 mins… Let’s get to the actual comedians, the warm up guy was the best one there, the first act was mediocre and the headliner was terrible. We contacted the manager after the show and told him our experience; he stated, «that is your opinion» and ended the conversation. Looking at the other reviews on Google, Unilocal,Facebook and others, it isn’t just our opinion! Also, be sure to double check the total of your bill…

What a great night! I was happily surprised to find out that I could eat dinner in the venue before the show! Excellent food, great comedy, without breaking the bank! Will definitely be back!

My second time at a big time comedy show aside from open mic nights locally, so I was pretty excited. This house of comedy did not disappoint. We were unsure exactly how esrly we really did need to be there before doors open to lock in a good seat, but we were just fine when we did arrive and seated promptly and offered service for drinks and food almost right away. We were unsure of the seating arrangement at first, but we ended up being in a great and comfortable proximity of the stage. Throughout the performance the servers seemed very busy but did cross our paths a few times and we managed to grab their attention and toss in some extra drink others. Overall, the staff seemed very prompt and professional and the comedians were VERY well selected and kept the crowd entertained and laughing their ass off during most moments of the show. Wil definitely plan to come again :-)

My girlfriend and I went to the hit or miss comedy show on Tuesday were the tickets to get in were $ 3 which is a very good price. Overall, the comedians were hilarious and MC provided many of laughs. There was also a headliner which ended the night on a high note. The night was a HIT! The food was pretty good. Another Tuesday special was a $ 3 app which was the chesse curds. They tasted good, weren’t burnt, but I probably would not want to pay the full price for them which is about $ 9. We split the chicken parm sandwich with poutine as our side. Sandwhich was tasty but a little dry since there was not enough marinara sauce with it. Poutine was great! I highly recommend it. Another couple things I noticed throughout the night was that the venue only served bottle water which cost $ 2.50. No reason to pay this price for water when rail drinks are $ 3 on Tuesday. There were no beers for the $ 3 special which was disappointing since select beers were advertised to be $ 3. A coors or other domestic beer is $ 6 which is a tad high, but pretty normal in the MOA. The service was pretty good from my experience Overall, a good, funny time, and I will go again.

We had an amazing time. The MC was hilarious and headliner was fantastic. Sold out show and didn’t seem like it. My only complaint would be you have to pay for water. Because, I drink alcohol and water together the bill was high. Overall, all great experience and we will be doing this again.

Great job guys, all around. Went to see my friend Alvin Irby perform last night 1÷7÷16. He was great, along with everyone else as well. The headliner was amazing. They were all really interactive with the crowd which is a key in stand up. Such a great show that even the MC was hilarious. My only two complaints, and I wouldn’t even call them complaints(more like observations) was the price for drinks were a little high but you should honestly expect that when your going out to anywhere decently nice, and the wait staff was a little slow with the delivery of drinks thru the show. But hey neither of those is a big issue if people would learn to have a little patience, nor would they stop me from coming back, or even give you less than a 5 star. So kuddos to you guys for hosting a great show that the whole crowd seemed to appreciate. I will definitely be back and ready for more laughs, so keep up the good work everyone. To sum up, anyone looking for a great place to catch some laughs, definitely check out the house of comedy in the mall of America. You won’t be disappointed.

We went to the late show on NYE. Package was supposed to come with champagne & apps. The comedians were great! The venue & wait staff were completely lacking! 1) 2 of the 4 stalls in the women’s room were out of order. 2) It took the waiter 4x to get our drink order correct. 3) Bill was incorrect 4) champagne never came before midnight, went to get it ourselves and found the wait staff chugging from bottles 5) asked for a fork & ranch dressing for the apps and was told they had neither

I came about 30 minutes early and watched the little PowerPoint at the beginning replay itself many times over. One of the slides saying to leave a good review and I’d get two complimentary tickets(and yes, they admitted, this was a bribe). So here it is, my good review! My boyfriend and I had a spectacular time with the Triple Threat Tuesday deal. A $ 3 ticket for nearly two hours of comedy, and $ 3 boneless wings is nothing short of fabulous! Now, after reading some reviews I do agree the service was lacking. It took quite awhile for our food to come out, but it tasted better than I was expecting. The fries didn’t taste like they came frozen out of a bag even if they probably did! The seating is difficult to get around so I was sympathetic for the waiters. I suppose just don’t come expecting your food and drinks to be in front of you within ten minutes, come expecting to laugh and have a good time, and then you won’t be leaving a one star review. Also, there was a review stating they don’t give you glasses of water… Um, yes they do? I had three glasses of water throughout the show! Thanks, servers. I know you knew you weren’t getting any money for free water and I still got it right on time. I didn’t know what to expect knowing it was an open mic, but I definitely found a wide variety of comics. It’s advertised as «Hit or Miss Tuesday» and that couldn’t be any more true. I was laughing so hard at some points and at other points all I could muster was a sympathetic chuckle. Even then the bad comics are a delight to experience! You’re just watching someone on stage be vulnerable trying to get you to laugh, how can I boo at that? Maybe I’m just a softie. I loved during one set the comic was blanking on his next joke and audience members just started shouting out words of encouragement. Made my lil heart go aw. So, overall 4⁄5. Sure, the service blows, but it’s still a grand ol’ time! P. S. I will be expecting those tickets btw ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

OK so I love the local venue and seeing a good show. However do not order food while at a show. It takes them a long time to bring your order. I am very forgiving in that there is a lot of orders and maybe the kitchen is a little backed up. However it took more than 45 minutes to get a Caesar salad and they didn’t get my wife’s order correct. She ordered a flat bread and only asked for no cheese. They brought it slathered in cheese and then we waited for them to make a new one which was obviously rushed because the toppings(such as spinach and onions) were not cooked. It looked like they had thrown them on after baking the bread part. We got to watch a couple that ordered food after us eat and finish long before we got the flat bread with cheese. I don’t normally post negative reviews but this was dissapointing.

No beer on tap? 30 minutes to get a beer in a bottle? $ 7 bottles beer? The comedians have a lot to overcome.

I’m really happy to have visited this place while in Minneapolis. It also really helped to see a really unique performance. I was able to see Stevie Starr(the master regurgitator). He was on America got Talent. His comedy routine wasn’t amazing but just good enough to sweeten his performance where most of the amazement came from. This man can swallow anything and the feats he can perform with his stomach were mind blowing. The audience participation helped keep us all on our toes. There was even a short comedy act before Stevie… can’t recall his name but he was really good at warming up the audience. The club was very swanky, but basic. Could have been very cramped, but thankfully his performance wasn’t packed. Overall a fun night with great food. I recommend the poutine and hamburgers! Definitely check this place out if you see a performer that catches your eye!

Awful. Awful. Awful. Do not expect to have a great time when you’re in the hands of Rick Bronson and his crew. After multiple hopeful attempts to give it a chance this place exceeds in under-delivering. I’m sure the only reason they are still open is because they have a 10-year lease at the MOA. They are short on talent and long on wait times for a drink. Sorta backwards? I have two hacks for this place: come drunk and with a flask in tow to tolerate the ‘talent’ ‘cuz you won’t get another opportunity to order another drink during the show despite the ‘hard work’ of the always new staff, and #2 don’t bring a date or anyone you want to impress because you think it’s a cool place. The owner obviously doesn’t care about who’s there. Why should we???

The host was funnier than the opening guy. But all 3 acts were really funny. The headliner was especially great at interacting with the audience and going with whatever happened! One of the best meals I’ve had at a bar lately, also. Martini’s were well made.

4 of 10 comics were funny for a Tuesday, the MC was the best Miss Shawna(sp?), would like to have seen her perform the whole show. Too bad the social media aspect and the website is lacking, it would be nice to follow your fav comics.

I’ve never had anything less than an amazing time here! Their line ups fit just about everyone’s comedy likes. If you don’t see someone you want to see, just check the schedule-I’m sure someone is coming that you would like. My friends and I showed up to the club about an hour before doors open and were able to grab some food and drinks at the bar. Yes, it’s pretty standard mall food. Kind of upscale food court type quality but who cares. The bar is beautiful and staff is so nice. I’m happy to support my favorite comedians and am happy to do it at House Of Comedy!

2 thumbs up to Jay Joseph!!! Amazing customer service, our show was cancelled so not only did he secure us tickets to the sold out show, he put us in the VIP section! Way to go above and beyond! 5 Stars for sure!

I was pretty disappointed with this place. The waiting area was so crowded. The bartenders we’re standing behind the bar talking to one another rather than helping customers. The show started 30 minutes late. There was no concept of a line so getting in the show was a nightmare. Our drinks took until half way through the show to receive. The double had barely any alcohol in it therefore WAY overpriced. It would have been overpriced even if served correctly. The organization to the place was a 0. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the headliner was funny. My recommendation is to skip going here.

If you come here for the comedy you will be pleased. If you come here for the food or drinks(or lack thereof) you will not be pleased. The space is very large, and you can see pretty well from most seats. Seating is strange though. It is general admission, but you are seated by a hostess/server; I couldn’t figure out any rhyme or reason to why they seated people where they seated them. You will be with strangers, unless you have a large group. During shows, do not expect service, definitely not good service. My party of two ordered sodas when we sat and it was nearly 25 minutes before we received our beverages. No refills. No checking on us to see if we wanted any other drinks or food(we did). No water either, bottles only and you have to pay. Most recently I went to see Dave Coulier. He was great, but as one other reviewer noted: the opener was uncomfortably bad. Props to the host, who was extremely hilarious and I would go see a show with him as the headliner(though I cannot remember his name now!). The bathrooms were quite nice, clean and had the sound from the show piped in so you didn’t miss a laugh. I would go here again for a show, without expecting much else.
