Simple, non pretentious, good soup. Have enjoyed the daily varieties. Thanks for being around!

This is a small but mighty Soups/Salad/Sandwich place. The soups are fresh and change day to day. Random Information: They are handicap accessible for those who are good with long ramps but the inside area might feel a bit tight(I am sure everything is up to code… it is just a small place). I don’t believe they deliver but you can get take-away/to-go. There are usually kid friendly sandwiches and soups but the soups are made that day, so, when they are out — they are just out, so, if you go later in the day the selection might be too limited for a sensitive kid’s tastes. Room For Improvement: 1) Hours — I have tried to stop by here 6 times, I have been successful at going when they are open only twice. The hours are crazy and during the week end right in the middle of dinner time(7pm). Recommendations/What they Do So Right: 1) Grilled Cheese — omg — a ricotta grilled cheese — try it — it is soooo good 2) Combo — love that you can get a soup, a small salad, and a half sandwich — not just 2 of the 3 3) Fresh — fresh homemade food — feel good about what you eat 4) Priced Right!

This is one of the best lunch spots in town! Fresh, homemade, creative, delicious. In the fall and winter, the soups and stews warm you up. In the spring and summer, munch on one of their tasty sandwiches or salads. My fave soup is their buffalo chicken. My fave sandwiches are the rosemary chicken and chicken curry with apricots(apparently I love chicken…). Great homemade dressings for salads. Definitely opt for the«soup basket» which lets you try a sandwich, soup, and a salad of your choice for around $ 8. Somewhat inexpensive for the Bloomington restaurant scene. I love sitting out on the covered deck on not-too-hot days. A friend once had a private party for his wife’s birthday. Lovely for a small gathering. They even let us bring in our own wine and beer.

Yess!!! It’s fall and there happens to be a great little cozy lunch café that serves delicious fall flavored soups, salads, and even sandwiches! The restaurant is a little house with cute decorations, a chalk board menu, and a friendly and talkative staff. While sitting out on the deck there are pretty little fall flowers all around and great homemade windchimes. The seating is limited but sitting outside on the deck is nice if the weather permits. Other wise you can get food to go, they are pretty quick. P. S. They are very vegetarian and vegan friendly.

DELISH! I had the ½ corn chowder ½ asparagus sandwich. It was a very busy place, this was my first time, definitely not the last!

Located close to downtown, I had never heard about this place til my friend recommended we try it. I got the tuna salad and he got the peanut butter and honey(strange, I thought). Well he enjoyed his and mine was excellent. The second time we went, I tried the rosemary chicken salad, which was also delicious, and the corn chowder. Nice atmosphere

A perfectly cozy and delicious lunch spot. Every sandwich and every soup I’ve had here has been very delicious and satisfying. The corn chowder in particular is great, and there’s always a big list of different soups from which to choose. The almond/rosemary chicken salad is fantastic. The portions are a little small for the price for Bloomington standards, but I don’t particularly mind. Maybe it’s because I lived in Chicago for so long where diners charge $ 10 for the crappiest sandwiches, but I think the fact that the soups here are so rich and tasty means they’re worth a little more.

A fabulous lunch place! I had the rosemary chicken salad, delicious and only $ 4.00 for a whole size sandwich. My partner ordered the tuna, which was good, but nothing special. Their portions aren’t massive but just about right in my opinion. You can also order a «soup basket» which comes with a half sandwich, a salad AND a soup, all for 7.95…a bargain. We ate a nutella souper(?) for dessert which was very good… it was like a upscale toaster strudel if that makes any sense. I will be back!

Relatively new food place on the corner of South Rogers and Kirkwood. There are about six small tables in the former dining room of an old house. It’s a nice place for a meeting or to sit and chat. The food is delicious and deceptively filling, but still slightly overpriced. A smallish cup of soup with a tiny half sandwich and a drink will set you back about $ 7.50. But despite the small portions, it is delcious and hearty, and I left feeling suprisingly satisfied.
