I personally love this location because I live nearby. It is a convenient location for most in Bloomington but it is off the main roads so most people won’t see this place. I have seen so many great restaurants come in and leave before they should have because they couldn’t get business in. I am hopeful that Taste of China may break that trend. They had quite a few customers on a late Sunday evening so *fingers crossed*. As Bloomington continues to explode with new Chinese restaurants everyday… my goal of tasting all Chinese restaurants in BLM is a non-stop mission. I finally got the chance to try this place 3 blocks from my house and I am SO mad at myself for not trying it sooner. A) You can order carryout on the Unilocal app. How cool is that? B) The sauce was definitely homemade. I took a peek back in the kitchen and saw so many unusual spices for me. C) The tofu was cooked to perfection. D) The kitchen(and rest of the place) was immaculately clean. E) Food took 10 minutes to prepare F) Very decent on price

We ordered general chicken, chicken and broccoli and tofu and veggies in a hot pot. They were all equally terrible. I’m actually wondering how they cook the food now because it tasted so bad. We threw everything out. It was a waste of almost $ 40. I don’t understand the high ratings.

Ordered satay beef and fried lamb with cumin today. However, the beef tasted like leather(too tough to bite). The lamb was so thin buried with a lots of onions and the portion of lamb was very limited. Disappointed.

Long waiting time and limited number of staff members. Food was alright but the soup we had was honestly terrible.

I stopped by Taste of China for dinner and ate two very delicious dishes. The garlic scallops came with thin rice noodles on top of their shells and were outstanding. The green beans with spiced ground beef were also excellent. The portion size on the scallops was slightly small but the green bean/ground beef portion was generous. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other menu options.

I give two stars to this restaurant. Bad services and long time to wait. Test is ok but not so good.

Recommended by friends, so I tried this place, their hotpot are really cheap, but the quality of foods are not impressive, their grill didn’t taste well, I also order the spicy shrimp cooked in pot, not impressive, don’t have much flavor, I may go for hot pot for cheap price, but not others

I visited there last weekend and learned from a note on the door that they will not open during the summer until some time in August. Just let you know…

Good place to have Chinese bbq. It’s the authentic spicy flavor. Though a bit expensive. We three people spent almost $ 90 there.

Super excited about the reviews saying Taste of China is delicious and authentic. Crab rangoons were awesome! The man who helped me at the front was so nice and eager to explain the dishes. The menu was extensive, but it did not include the ingredients. Only downside was that it was a tad oily, but definitely still recommend this place!

I don’t remember how many times I’ve been there. It always great! Traditional spicy Chinese food and noodle! Also have traditional Chinese BBQ such as beef or pork, it’s different from American BBQ, it is really good! You should try that! Good service good dishes and good memory! I will be there more than two times a week!

I usually go to Taste of China 5 times per week! The food really tastes amazing. The service is also good! That is my favorite Chinese food in Bloomington. It also provides free wifi which brings us convenience.

The food is very good for Chinese people. It tastes really good! Deduct one star for the service. My suggestion is to design the menu better and be more active for service so that we can pay tips without hesitation.

The people writing bad reviews are basing their taste in our Americanized version of Chinese food. This restaurant is legit and actually authentic. If you want real Chinese food, this is the place to be. If you want lame, tasteless noodles, go elsewhere.

This is the first time I ever write a review for a restaurant. I’m writhing this one because I’m really surprised that bloomington actually has such an authentic chinese restaurant here! I’ve been to a lot of «best chinese food in town» of many cities in the states. This one is the best of best!

A new Chinese restaurant in town, with very friendly waiter. The chef can cook almost any Chinese dish. They have dishes that you can find in most Chinese restaurants, as well as some unique ones like grilled whole fish. Give it a try next time you are in the area!
