I needed to purchase an Icy Hot electro therapy for my shoulder. I went to a local Walgreens and their price was $ 41.99 so I decided to check online for a coupon and found the exact one for $ 29.99 at Target. Needless to say I put the unit back on the shelf and went across the street to Target. To top this off, I found a coupon for $ 5 off. I got the unit for $ 24.99. Walgreens, if you need to over price an item be reasonable about it… not 50% more. I would think twice before I get anything from there again.

I experienced a long delay with my insurance company, Medco, and my doctor, because this presciption I use for sleeping required a doctor’s authorization once a year and a year has apparently passed. The insurance company wasn’t completely clear with my doctor as to what exactly they needed and rejected the doctor’s request(apparently he didn’t fill out the form correctly the first time). Ultimately it got filled two weeks after the initial request. :~ What made the experience difficult is that I can’t sleep without this exact medication, annoyingly enough, and I was out of town on a lengthy work assignment. It wasn’t as if I had the luxury of calling in sick or coming in late every day, until the presciption was refilled and I could resume sleeping normally. The pharmacist at Walgreens was awesome. He offered to call the insurance company and my doctor, to see if he could help coordinate everyone. I couldn’t believe it. When he got blown off my the call center representative at the insurance company, he said he would contact the doctor the next day. I didn’t have the time or flexibility to call everyone all day long during the workday to follow-up. No problem, the pharmacy guy called everyone to see if he could move them along and when that didn’t work, he suggested that the doctor and insurance company fill another more generic sleep medication at least temporarily. I didn’t even think of that option and neither had the insurance company. So I was able to use the generic med temporarily until re doc and insurance company got all the paperwork done on my primary medication prescription. When I asked at Walgeeen’s to speak with vi’s manager I found our he is the manager so there was nobody locally To whom I could report my great service experience with Vi at Walgeens
