Huge amount of taps! Be aware they charge for samples of the beers, but that also gives you the opportunity to create your own flights for tasting. You are allowed to buy small samples all the way up to pitchers of beer. Service is decent but sometimes slow. Food is a hit or miss here, mostly miss for us. Burgers will be almost rare whether you want them that way or not. Tenderloin is a big no, never was cooked all the way through. Will be back, maybe, for the great variety of beer as it is a neat place to try new beers.

The chicken tenders are truly stand outs. Very informal vibe, come here and hang with friends or catch a game. Low key college bar unlike some other notorious players in town. ;)

Beer school, breaded pork tenderloin, & freakin’ tetris-shaped tots. What more can you ask for? I was visiting from LA& my bf took me here on a Monday at 7PM(that’s when beer school starts). Parking was a little hard to find since it got crowded but we luckily found a spot! We walked in a little before 7 and the bar area was already packed with IU students waiting for the free beer tasting. So basically, you get one glass, a pitcher of water, and a bucket. That day, a vendor came & had us try their 3 different types of beer they offer. Before we got the sample, we got a little lesson of how they came up with the recipe. Bartenders came around with the pitchers & poured us the beer. We tasted, rinsed our glass with water & dumped it in the bucket. We had to pay attention to the little lesson because they had questions & t-shirts for us afterwards. It was a pretty fun experience! Overall, service is average here but the food is great!

Service is garbage, off-the-clock employees hang around and are boisterous and disturbing. Go to this place as a last resort because there’s not much redeeming about it.

Used to by my favorite Btown restaurant and bar. Over the last few years the food menu has become increasingly bad. Major changes to the drink specials as well in a negative direction. Went here very often in the past but recent their decisions have really made the food and overall value plummet. Mentioned this to their staff at the Bloomington Craft Beer Fest and their response was laughter. With the advent of new competition(like the Tap) I don’t think they will be laughing for long. RIP Yogis

I used to love Yogis for it’s relaxed atmosphere, incredible beer list, and fun exciting food. However… This place has sadly gone downhill since new management took over. I can’t even count how many times the menu has changed in the past year. I took my parents here one weekend this past fall and my dad couldn’t even order a burger, because they had a special«Game Day» menu. No burger at a bar?! The waiter was actually embarrassed. My most recent trip last night was more disappointing than ever. They changed their menu once again, and this time took off my boyfriend’s favorite sandwich. It’s sad to see their menu is now very basic bar food — nothing special whatsoever. We both ordered a burger instead, and it was hands down the worst burger I have ever had at any restaurant. The bun was somehow both stale and burnt(I’m assuming they had old bread they tried to heat up), and the meat was most likely a pre-packaged frozen patty and burnt to a crisp. I would have told the server this, but he never came by our table. I’m sorry, Yogi’s, but I’ve been burned here too many times to spend $ 20 on shitty food and servers. I’ll be at the Tap.

Great place for beer fans especially. I’ve always been waited on by super nice and relatable staff, which is a huge plus. The trivia and bingo nights are really fun, especially in larger groups. The food is also pretty good for a bar. I particularly enjoy the turkey club wrap.

Great local place with regular drink specials for beer and liquor. I love the yucatan salad. It’s huge and always very fresh. Good spot for lunch during the week if you want to avoid the crowd and navigate the limited parking, but also a great time to catch a game or a drink after work.

We went as part of a pre-wedding event where our party took over the main room when people come into the restaurant. Even though I asked 2 different staff members about the gluten-free options, they had no idea, and said they would ask, but then never came back. The food we did end up ordering was just average, meaning I wouldn’t seek this restaurant out for it’s food. It did the trick was making me not hungry, but that is all. I ordered a total of 2 margaritas while I was there. The first one was great. The 2nd one was terrible so I asked for it to me remade. While they seemed fine with doing it, the remake was equally as bad, so I just accepted it as is and hardly drank any of it. I personally wouldn’t return based on the experience or the drink/food.

Come here to watch the game or drink and you will have a great atmosphere with big tvs and a good beer selection(per my boyfriend probably the second largest draught beer selection in town). Also enjoy the open air patio that they can close off when it gets colder. Don’t come here if you are looking for good food, Bloomington has much better to offer. Their menu offerings are limited and nothing special.

Awesome waiter, Sam. Great, friendly service. Clean. Not traditional crappy bar food. I got a Greek salad– quality ingredients, delicious dressing. Definitely a step up from the standard iceberg and salty fare. Chips & salsa were good– dry and not greasy like other places. Everything tasted fresh, and I was super pleased with the meal. We beat the trivia crowd, so it was pretty quiet. Bloomington has such a competitive dining market because there are so many quality restaurants. Yogi’s can totally hang.

Food was good but service needs some help. We came in for a birthday dinner. The waitress was nice but she took her sweet time taking our order. And when it came to Our drinks she kept forgetting to refill. We had to constantly remind her.

Prices are too high given what you get. Service was sub par. I felt as thought we had 3 different servers bringinh us water, food, and drinks. Watch drink prices.

Big place and lots of TVs to watch games and fights. The servers can be super friendly(one of the friendliest servers I’ve ever had was at Yogi’s). The mac and cheese was a tad oily.

A couple of my friends who attend IU wanted to come here for lunch when I was in town. It was close to campus and a spot they both frequent. If IU students love it, then my thought was I would too. I was super excited at the quasi-outside seating area the afternoon we dined there. The weather was beautiful and I wasn’t necessarily wanting to sit in the heat of the sun. It took awhile for a waitress to greet me and get my drink. I wasn’t in a particular rush, but I had to make eye contact with a few of them to get my presence acknowledged, as well as my friends once they arrived. One of my friends told me everything on the menu was good [totally helpful for making a decision] so I went with the Big Ten Burger. Kind of disappointed chips were the main side, but I just went with it. They probably came straight out of a Lays bag. Loved the burger though! I’d love to come back during a game or when more students are in town.

The more and more I come, the more and more I’m in love. I will say that many people get turned off because they came in on a night that didnt interest them. This place is very interactive and tries to switch stuff up. If you hate basketball, do not go here during an IU game. It is loud and miserable. Same with beer… don’t like beer, please skip beer school. They switch it up nightly and thing are interesting. There are nights for you. The food is a phenomenal value. You can get a huge portion for approx $ 10. Its your standard pub grub, and they menu never changes. Once you find out how awesome the salsa is… you’ll be hooked on their take of the taco salad. Beer menu is gigantic. Tons of beer on draft for the right price. Also, note that this place is on «dining for miles» which will give you Aadvantage points, Delta airline miles, or Upromise points. Google«dining for miles» as the staff doesn’t know what this is

This is a great spot for a casual lunch or dinner. Especially if you’re looking for a sandwich or a wrap. I *love* their wraps. Plus, they have an awesome beer menu! The atmosphere is nothing special. But then again, you don’t always need that! I’ve never had a bad sandwich or wrap here, either. The food is good — great American/bar-type food. Do yourself a favor. When you get the fries(or really anything), go for a side of their ranch. It’s the extra good kind. Trust me.

Came into yogi’s around noon, expecting to have to wait since it was lunch rush. Was not the case at all, walked in and had a seat and was promptly greeted by a waitress. Took my order and the food was brought in a very timely fashion and was delicious. Wait staff is very kind and professional. I will most certainly be returning again for lunch and may come check out what else they have to offer in the evenings.

Yogi’s may very well be my favorite restaurant of all-time. A bold statement, I know, but please allow me to elaborate. Yogi’s offers the perfect blend of great food, welcoming atmosphere, and quality service. It’s a good place for many occasions. You can go to Yogi’s to watch a game, enjoy a casual lunch, or meet friends for a late night drink. During the four years I lived in Bloomington, I can honestly say I never left Yogi’s disappointed. Where to begin? In my opinion, the best thing on the menu is the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. That thing is on the money. It’s drenched in a tangy buffalo sauce, and topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Served with a side of ranch, a pickle spear, and your choice of kettle chips, fries, or buffalo chips, this sandwich embraces what it means to be an American(and more importantly, a HOOSIER). Not feeling the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich? You’re in luck. The wings at Yogi’s are second to none. You can choose from a variety of flavors, including Hawaiian Fire, Jamaican Jerk, and Hot Garlic or your classic BBQ, Medium, and Hot. If you want to complement the wings with a few appetizers, try the Chips and Beer Cheese, the Mediterranean Dip, or the Ball Park Pretzel(served with Sierra Nevada Beer Cheese and Spicy Mustard). Some restaurants will serve quality entrees with subpar appetizers, but Yogi’s does it the right way. The appetizers are on par with the entrees, and are well worth the price. Additional entrees include the Big Ten Burger, the Ribeye Steak Sandwich, and the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich. All quality dishes that will leave you satisfied. As far as drinks go, Yogi’s has a beer menu that is admirable. I consider myself an amateur drinker, but it doesn’t take a connoisseur to recognize the quality of beer you can find at Yogi’s. They host a weekly«beer school» and have a plaque on the wall with the names of individuals who have tried over 100 beers in an 8-month period. My personal favorites are Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier and Three Floyds Gumballhead, although the menu is always evolving. I hope I have done justice to Yogi’s by writing this blog post. During my time in Bloomington, Yogi’s was a reliable source of great food and entertainment. So much so, that my roommates and I would make weekly trips. It was worth it every time.
