Do not miss this shop. The owner Bill MacGee is very knowledgable about both the mountain and the hammered dulcimer. The music selection is varied by style and is representative of the art. Bill has several examples of hand made instruments by local artisans. You can even buy a kit to make a crude dulcimer from a tin can.
One interesting example of a dulcimer with a good sound is a New England made cardboard instrument.

Its what it says… they have dulcimers. Hammered and lap top. They even have these crazy instruments with a tin can as a base. Fun to look at but haven’t bought one yet.
