Yonahlossee is my most favorite place to stay when I return to the mountains. We have stayed in several rooms at the Inn and at one of the studio cottages. If you stay at the Inn, me sure you choose a room on the side with the nice view(evenly numbered room…556 and 558 are upstairs rooms with the view). The cottage was super cozy… fireplace!

We stayed at the Green Cove 4 bedroom cottage. It was absolutely wonderful. The house was very well stocked, had a gorgeous view, and was very clean and comfortable. The great room area is really nice! It’s large and spacious and perfect for hanging out with the fire going. I stayed with my family just after Christmas until after New Year’s Eve. It was COLD outside, but the cabin stayed nice, warm, and cozy. If I come back to this area, I’ll be staying at Yonahlossee and requesting this cabin again. Loved it.

We stayed here for a mini college reunion that was taking place across the street. A block of rooms in the hotel had been reserved for our group, but since we had our 2 year old with us, we chose to rent one of their cottages instead, since we needed another room for him to nap in. When I reserved the place by phone, I received an email with confirmation and directions. Once I looked at the fine print, I noticed that the woman had given us something completely different than what we had talked about, so I had to call her back. She apologized and fixed the mistake. The resort is located on a long windy road(made me a little car sick!), but the whole place looked very nice. I didn’t go into the actual hotel part, except for the lobby. It’s all decorated in mountain-type furniture, meaning made of wood, twigs, etc. I thought it was very charming. When we got into our cottage, we noticed that the actual master bedroom(the sep. room we requested, had a wall of windows into the other room, that you could close up(sort of) with shutters. Except that the shutters didn’t meet all the way, so you had a big 2″ gap between them. We wondered how that would work with our son’s nap. We ended up hanging shirts in those spaces, and putting him to sleep in his swing in the kitchen, so we were able to nap at the same time. We were lucky this worked out. The cottages seem to all be individually owned(and rented through the resort), so the family that owns it decorates it and furnishes it however they want. We could have used an extra blanket or two. There was ALOT of religious stuff in our cabin, too. Kind of weird. But the actual cottage was nice. There was a deck out back with rocking chairs. Oh, we had to go to the front desk and ask for more toilet paper the second day, as they had only left us with half a roll. We would stay here again(maybe not this particular cabin).
