DONOT visit this restaurant! Had truly one of the worst meals/experiences of my life here last night. Expectations were low as all dining experiences in this locations previous restaurants have been poor. We were seated promptly and started looking at the«wine list». There were few selections by the glass other than house wines., When I asked our waitress what their house wine label was she seemed utterly confused, She then offered me a chianti after I told her I preferred white wine! We ordered the cheese plate and 2 cured meat selections(after several attempts) and what we got was basically 4 cheap cheeses tossed on a dinner plate with some jarred olives — no board, no bread, no dried fruits, nuts, jams, etc. The meats were also just piled on another dinner plate. Now the highlight of the evening — our caesar salads were delivered(wilted looking romaine with bottled dressing) then our second round of wine. The waitress tipped her tray and my entire glass of pinot grigio spilled all over my gf. Wine and glass were everywhere! While apologetic she made no move to call over a manager or move our table even though everything was dripping in wine. We finally asked for a new table and to see a manager. She nicely offered to comp our meal and pay the dry cleaning bill. We should have just left but the entrees had just arrived and were equally disappointing — overcooked tiny bits of octopus over some mixed greens for me and obviously frozen lobster ravioli tossed in some rose type sauce. Needless to say we will not be going back to this restaurant or any of its expected future incarnations…

Went there for Valentine’s Day dinner. Waitress was phenomenal, as was the 5 course meal. Tomatoes weren’t quite ripe, but as they say on Frasier, the perfect night out is having a great meal with one flaw to focus on ;-)

Had a very nice meal. My husband enjoyed his shrimp bisque and i could eat the appetizer i got once a week. They were called anancini… risotto fritters… filled with the creamiest risotto and cheese, fried and served with marinara. The bread was excellent, and the pizza bread a nice addition to the basket. My husband cleaned his plate of the veal saltimboca that he chose. I got the branzino, which was good… but in retrospect, i was really wanting pasta, so it left me less than satisfied. Not sure why i talked myself out of my first choice. lesson learned. Meal pacing was fine and service was attentive. Had 3 glasses of wine, decaf and the aforementioned dishes… bill was $ 90. I’d go back.

Don’t eat here. Never mind the more recent reviews. The earlier ones were right on. This restaurant talks about everything being fresh. That’s a laugh! As most of the reviews on the other sites have said, everything is reheated. I got indigestion from eating here! Also, staff and servers are devious– mislead the customer. There are better places to go to in the area. As other reviewers have said — this one probably won’t last.

My parents and I go here all the time for dinner. I actually drive outside of the city for this. It’s great Italian food. I love their fresh salads and amazingly creamy risotto. The calamari is always good, and my mom, who is Italian loves their gravy! The service is sometimes a little slow, but that doesn’t bother me when there is fresh bread and pizza bread on the table to enjoy. I highly recommend this place for people looking for a good home cooked Italian meal. You won’t regret it!

I work nearby Chef Salvatore’s and frequent the place for lunch. The service is always fast and professional. I’ve had a number of menu items and my absolute favorite is the eggplant rollatini. It is simply the best I’ve ever had. Part of what makes this restaurant so successful in terms of food is the clean and simple tomato sauce and they cook pasta CONSISTENTLYPERFECT. The calamari is excellent as well. Great selection of wine and other spirits. They do a great double expresso. The one thing I can do without is the soft sell of Salvatore’s Olive Oil, when contrasted against the awesome experience, this feels a little tacky.

Great meal! I started off with the fried calamari. I’m not a big fan of the dish because it does not showcase a chef’s talent, but the person I was dining with wanted it. I do have to say that it was very crispy and tender, which a lot of restaurants have a hard time executing. We ordered the veal saltenbucaand the Veal osso bucco. Both were cooked perfect. The osso bucco was tender and very flavorful and it was accompanied with homemade gnocchi. The saltenbuca was also tasty. I did not get a chance to try to pasta dishes, but if they are as good as the main dishes, you cant go wrong.

2÷10÷11 — Just upped their rating to 4 stars. The place is fine. Don’t listen to all the bad reviews on the web. I am beginning to think they are all fake. Seriosly. Read on. First of all I was shocked at all the bad reviews for this place which are all over the web. They have a pretty large menu — good food for a reasonable price. Staff was nice. We didn’t have to wait for anything. The place was very clean. Newly refinished hardwood, no stains on the carpet like some reviews mentioned. I went there for lunch and the only complaint I had was that the Sprite I ordered tasted weird(very bitter). I did notice a plate or two going back to the kitchen from one table. But that table looked like a bunch bitchy looking girls so I didn’t pay it much mind. I ordered the Calamari salad and it was amazing! The other two people liked their meal too. We liked it so much we are going to try it for a holiday luncheon. Let’s see if Chef Salvatore’s staff can please a picky office party. I am giving his place 3 stars now. If they do a good job this Thursday, I’ll up it to 4, maybe even 5.
