i was so excited to find a machismo’s opened in blue bell because i love the one on main street and in andorra. but the blue bell one is a big let-down. #1 complaint — THEREISNOHOTSAUCE. if you’re a fan of the main street location, you will be very disappointed here. there are absolutely NO hot sauces, compared to the hundred at main street. NONE. it’s unbelieveable. even andorra has a few… but none?! i ordered my usual burrito, chicken. some of it looked like chicken but some of it looked like mystery meat. maybe some pork got into the chicken??? don’t know, but it didn’t look all right to me. the rest of the ingredients were fresh, thank god. the veggies were crisp, no brown on the lettuce. and as always the burrito was huge. i also asked for a jalapeño wrap and got something that was not jalapeño, but that’s ok, i like them all. this might sound like me being picky or snobby, but wrapping a burrito is an art form. the guy who was working there hasn’t mastered it yet. also…there is a milkshake machine here, like the smoothie machines in wawa. seems very out of place, but i guess some people like mint chocolate milkshakes with their mexican. next time i want machismo’s, i’ll make the trip to andorra or main street. blue bell ain’t worth it. the lack of hot sauce is a deal breaker for me.

I ordered 1 fish taco, 2 veggie cheese tacos. Taco were gross and not cooked. Fish was cold and had a bone in it. I was the only person so it was not busy. I think the preparer did not know how to prepare. Maybe I will try a different location. bill Was 10.46

I love the Manayunk location so I was happy when this opened. The food is definitely comparable and I love the choices. As always, I am forever loyal to my steak burrito in a jalapeño cheddar wrap with rice, black beans, cheese, and sour cream, and am grateful that it is so close to home(at least on Sundays). Would recommend stopping by if you live in the area and don’t want to trek to Manayunk for a great, overstuffed burrito.
