Rite Aid

I was recently in Rite Aid looking for a gift, but couldn’t find anything. I bumped into a nice, young man named Derek (i believe) & he pointed me in the right direction of where to look and also helped me decide on what to get, he was very nice and helpful. Definitely a thumbs up!

One star is even to much. Acting manger has no knowledge. Between law and policyMaybe he needs to get retrained. Worst Rite Aid ever

Poorly managed and understaffed. There is normally a line with anywhere from 3 – 12 people awaiting service. You can spend as long as 45 – 50 minutes waiting to pickup your prescriptions. I have 6 pickups per month, so I spend a lot of time waiting in line at Rite-​Aid Blue Jay, CA.

Always a long line and what seems like cranky pharmacists reluctant to help. They often get prescriptions wrong/​say it is there and it isn’t. Being the only legit pharmacy for the entire chunk of the mountain of 30,000 people plus visitors, you think they would open a new store, hire more pharmacists, or something.

Rude, Rude, Rude female pharmacists. No greeting, no smile, a sharp shooting question on what it is you want, no eye contact, sharp shooting response while typing on their computer, and no response when you ask them a question… just a turned back and minimal words. The clerks there are fine, the something is wrong with the pharmacists. The pharmacist who used to work there, moved to Big Bear, Ca. and he was wonderful. Sorry he transferred.
The customer is a nuisance to these pharmacists, and they do not hide their annoyance that you are there at the counter. Frankly, there are no Rite Aid executives around to see this in person, to witness their rudeness, so it will never be addressed.
If I could give them a ZERO STARS I would.

They usually have pretty good prices on beer so we get it here instead of STATER BROS. Plus, they have a better selection of beauty stuff (makeup, lotion, face wash etc). They usually only have one register open so the line can take awhile even when there’s only a couple people in front of you. But this is a small town, so it is what it is. The place does it’s job.

Absolutely no stars for the lack of competency and customer service. First off, I’m not a complainer but feel I should warn anyone with a similar situation as mine in hopes of preventing what I went through.
I turned in a prescription that was VERY time sensitive and when I went to pick it up they only had ½ of it ready. I needed a 40mg and a 20mg (Acutane). They only had the 40mg in stock and needed to order the 20mg. They assured me it would be there the next day and the pharmacist himself ASSURED me I could pick it up. The next day they only had the 40mg ready but said the other would be in after 5pm and they would call me. No one called because they said they had «computer problems» processing the order. They tried to process it this morning and my window for pick up was now closed. They made a phone call to my doctor saying I was in the pharmacy waiting to get my script and they needed to reopen my window for pick up. They LIED to my doctor… I was not there and had not been there. My doctor (thankfully) called me right away knowing their phone call to them was not proper procedure. Because of the nature of the medication my doctor is at the mercy of the IPledge system and I will now have to go through 30 days of waiting and blood tests just to get my prescription.
Both the pharmacist, the tech that didn’t call me when she said she would and the tech that lied to my doctor are all to blame for this. I urge anyone that has a time sensitive medication to not trust it with the Rite Aid in Blue Jay. It’s sad that I no longer can trust them with my medication and need to go down the hill to another drugstore for peace of mind.

Decent is being overly gracious. The place is a waste of time. The pharmacy take at least an hour in line and then when u get up there, your scrip isn’t even ready, wait for another 30 min. They charge way too muh and their stuff is always broken. Came to print out a passport photo, can’t machine doesn’t read phone format, okay, how about a real passport photo? No way photo camera is broken. Shocking.

Always too crowded and never enough check stand attendants. I try not to shop there unless I absolutely have to.

We go here to get the best of all medicines – Thrifty’s Ice Cream. Wonderful place to go after dinner for a scoop (cylinder actually) of delicious ice cream at a great price. They also have a larger than normal selection of grocery type items just in case Jensen’s is too expensive for you. The service had been great every time we’ve been and the employee are very friendly. Overall this is a great Rite Aid relative to other ones that I have been to.

I was waiting in line for my prescription, and when it became my turn the cashier in the pharmacy stated that there were no receipt tapes available. She asked me if I needed a receipt, and because I was paying with a credit card, I needed a receipt.
This cashier, told me to step aside and she called the person behind me. Needless to say after standing in a long line, which this Pharmacy usually has I was really perturbed. Needless to say that was the last time that I patronized that pharmacy..

although the wait was so long for the pharmacy, they knew exactly which medicine to recommend for my cough and congested chest. quick recovery

A decent drug store. Nothing special or fancy, but all the basics are here and the staff is helpful. More items added since the remodel in Oct. never used the pharmacy, so can’t comment on that. But otherwise, it’s my mtn go-​to quick stop!

Ok. It is what it is — when you need a drugstore, you have it. Nothing special nothing awful.
