Colonial Nursery

This place is so expensive. I have been there several times and it is 3 times the cost of other nurseries. It so far off of 7 Hwy. No thanks.. Heartland Nursery is the best. They have a Tropical Room… So Cool.

I visited this location to buy rocks with a friend. Colonial Nursery carries rocks. Being a rock snob I feel I know my products and the price. I loved the nursery part of Colonial Nursery. They even have fairy garden supplies and beautiful fountains. Plus, and this is huge. They carry They carry Holistic Grain Free dog food… every reason to return.
As for rocks, its fine for a local place… but I am used to making large hauls and being provided a plastic bag to gather them in. I asked about their rocks and they told me the rocks are in the back. No bag… wait…okay. My friend selected large rocks and placed them on a shelf all the way back to the outside entrance. I finally located a small box. But I was hoping to atleast be given a bag cause when i buy rocks I buy 30 of them, not 7. We then went to the counter and once we found the other rocks we needed and went to pay, they weren’t sure of the prices. Prices rank with the other 2 locations, but House of Rocks being a little better priced with more selection. This is not my favorite place to buy rocks… but the rest of the selection is amazing and their dog food, one of the more healthiest for my dog with grain allergies.

It’s a nice place. I like it.

I have been going to Colonial Nursery for several years; they have a large quantity and a wide variety of plants to choose from and their staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I have even taken some of their gardening classes and have come away feeling like I learned something and inspired to go home and use what I had learned.

I had to stop in and pick up some shrubs, crab apple, and some low maintenance for the landscaping I was planting one Saturday. Upon arrival there are staff members who are very knowledgeable and very helpful. Price was fine. Staff also went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met.
I had to go back Saturday to grab a ton ½ of colorado rock. Their price was surprisingly a few dollars cheaper than the local rock merchant. Open on Sunday’s too.
