I have been going here for over 10 years. I miss the buffet at the old location(they moved a little up 7 highway) but there food is still just as good as always. Never had anything but good service, at a great value.

Delivery took over an hour. Fried rice was dried out. Crab rangoon was soggy. No egg roll provided with meal. Would not recommend.

Our carry-out order was wrong. Called the store once we got home and noticed it-their cook claimed he fixed the order correctly but he was lying. We ordered egg foo young one way and got it another way. The store said if we drive back to the store they will give us the correct order-I advised we were not driving all the way back to their store-advised it was their error and they should deliver the correct order to our home-they refused, offered no other remedy and said they’ll tell their cook to watch it next time. VERYPOORCUSTOMERSERVICEREGARDINGRECTIFYINGTHEIRMISTAKE. If you do order from this place make sure your order is correct before you leave the store.

I feel EXTREMELY horrible for Ang C. after reading her review. The experience she and her husband had is definitely FAR from the norm of the service and quality of Golden Eggroll. I will agree that the décor is rather outdated(and out of place for a Chinese restaurant), but that has actually become part of the charm to many patrons/regulars. While their main attraction was the buffet, they also have an extensive menu of single dish items to choose from that always come with steamed or fried rice and a crab rangoon. These dishes are always cooked to order and always fresh. This was originally their main focus, but they added a buffet a couple years ago when they got really popular and focused on it for a while. I haven’t been in several months, but I hear the buffet has been taken down, presumably to shift focus back to their single dish items. They deliver as well, which is a huge part of their business. Ang says they visited about 1:00 in the afternoon. This is immediately after their lunch rush, which would explain the lack of food, and perhaps the poor quality as well. And maybe the waitress was having a bad day, or had had a bad lunch rush, but that is no excuse to treat cutsomers as poorly as she did. Yes, some of the employees will shout when you walk in, but it is generally in a friendly and inviting manner, not so unfriendly and brash. I will admit I have talked to a couple employees there who seem rather abrupt, but they all speak English as their second language, so if anyone sounds abrupt I usually chalk it up to the language barrier and shrug it off. However, that doesn’t seem the case with Ang’s experience. That waitress just seemed rude. I have always enjoyed my experiences at Golden Eggroll, and I think many of their dishes are the best out of the many Chinese places around(including Legends of Asia, which I think is highly overrated and overpriced). I love General Tso’s Chicken, and Golden Eggroll is the only place around that still does it right in this girl’s opinion. I don’t know anyone, personally, who has tried Golden Eggroll and not liked it.

After reading the other two reviews on here, my husband and I tried this restaurant this past Saturday at about 1:00 in the afternoon… definitely not impressed. The interior looks like a country diner with flowered 80’s wallpaper… It was bright and appeared to be relatively clean. The buffet was not visible when we first walked in and as we stood just inside the door wondering what to do, a woman yelled across the restaurant to sit anywhere. We sat. In a moment, she came and brusquely took our drink order and walked away… very unwelcoming. We wandered over to the two short buffet tables which were more than half empty… the food that was there looked like it had been there quite awhile. I asked her if they were going to refill the sweet and sour chicken. She snapped, «In minute!» I went ahead and got noodles, chicken in a sticky sauce and a spring roll that looked burnt. The noodles were bland… the chicken had been sitting so long it was like jerky… and the spring roll wasn’t burnt, it was just darkened by the grease that had soaked through… it was gross! I finally got some sweet and sour chicken and it was not bad, but it was not good either… basically just edible. My husband was finishing what was on his plate and the unfriendly waitress walked by and sat our check and(broken) fortune cookies on the table… she never broke her stride… no eye contact… not a word. In just a moment(husband still eating), she came and tapped the check she JUST sat on the table and said, «You pay now.»…not a question, more like a demand. If we’d been sitting there for 2 hrs. eating them out of business, I could possibly understand… but, my hubby was eating a second small plate and I’d had gotten, but not finished(maybe) one plate total… I wasn’t going to waste calories on food that wasn’t any better than that! It was completely strange! It was $ 12.90 for two lunch buffets and two drinks, so I guess it was a cheap unpleasant experience… but, certainly not one I would recommend! :/

I found this little place when my son and I were intending to go and eat at Legends of Asia across 7 highway. I braved the mass of vehicles on 7 Highway, and drove across the street. Golden Eggroll stands by itself. It is kind of easy to miss. There is ample parking, and it’s a quaintly decorated building. We went in, and were promptly seated. Their buffet at dinner was $ 7.95. I saw quite a few people getting the takeout buffet. This is a small restaurant, and a small buffet. I liked it. There was one aisle of Chinese food, with choices such as chicken and mushroom(not canned mushrooms), garlic shrimp with zucchini, sesame chicken with possibly the largest cut sesame chicken I’ve ever seen. There were green beans,(they are good), and some beef entrees. I didn’t sample the beef entrees. In the next aisle there was crab ragoon, springrolls, chicken on a stick, fried shrimp, and other choices. The third aisle had desserts. I generally don’t try the beef entrees nor some of the desserts. Everything was really good. I ordered water, which was refilled. My son’s soda was also refilled. Good service. I intend to eat there again. It’s a neighborhood place not terribly crowded, and comfortable. I didn’t get pictures cause my son isn’t too keen on picture taking at meals.
