I made a reservation to stay at this hotel, at about 4:00pm they called me to tell me they overbooked and they they put me at a different hotel. I didn’t think the other hotel was as nice, I figured they would have at least gave me a little discount or something but no they didn’t do anything… I would never treat a customer like that…

The room was quite nice… clean and the air conditioning worked very well. The phones(2 of them) did not work… no dial tone. And the TV had no audio on channel 37… FNC. Other stations had audio. Desk clerk said she would call the cable company… but of course they are closed now so not sure if anything could be done. The Desk Clerk actually fixed the phones… something strange with the plugs??? In the morning I asked the front desk if the cave company had been called. No report had been left indicating that it had, so I asked the front desk if they could get FNC and have audio… yes they could. So then the question was, why couldn’t my room get audio? The maintenance man came by and it was determined that the cable box had to be bad as all other rooms could get audio. If that was the case then I should have at least been offered a different room!!! Not too happy with how this all turned out!

PROS: This hotel is newly renovated. The staff is friendly. They serve a nice breakfast, and the breakfast area is roomy. The pool is pleasant. :) CONS: Pets are allowed.:( From reading all the poor reviews, I was worried about staying here. However, we stayed three nights, and, being that it is newly renovated, I highly recommend this hotel.(Stayed May 27 – 30, 2015)

We stay at this hotel when visiting our Mom at. Nearby assisted living. PROS A) great location, with Kroger in the center as well as a fantastic Thai restaurant and Full service restaurant(Truffles I believe it is called) within easy walk to stretch your legs after a road trip. very quiet location. B) Quality complimentary breakfast C) Staff has consistently been helpful and friendly D) as of date of review, renovating their rooms. Bedding is VERY comfortable, and you can tell the staff cares about cleanliness. E) rooms are very quiet. pet friendly, so I did hear a bark or two. CONS — or what could be ? A) No longer have phones in the renovated guest rooms. You will need to use your cell phone to call the desk if any questions /issues or go downstairs. B) maybe because of just completed renovation of the floor, but no TV channel listing anywhere in the room(critical on NCAA Sweet Sixteen game weekends LOL) and the desk staff didn’t have a Listing to refer to either. I finally had to ask what cable carrier was used, and look it up online(admittedly with their free wifi-fi) BOTTOMLINE — yes, I would stay here again, great value and location.

Very comfortable bed and the room was clean. The chair is broken and some weird stain on the sofa but everything else is great.

This place was awful! Upon check in they made a mistake with the billing and made a rude comment when it was brought to their attention. The room was dirty and had strange stains on the sofa and carpeting. There were large gaps all around the door which let quite a lot of light and noise in at night. The breakfast was nothing special and the guy working it shut it down abruptly each morning leaving nothing behind if you got up late. They did not have the AC running and it felt like it was 90 degrees. My family and I were sweating while eating breakfast. The pool was outside and very dirty, I was glad we did not have plans to do any swimming while we were there.

The first thing I noticed when walking into this hotel was the smell. It was like a sewer or mildew smell. Not pleasant at all. Also, there is horrible soundproofing in this hotel. I could hear doors slamming and people running on the stairs most of the night.

While the rooms were clean & beds comfortable, the staff was awful. We searched on I-95 for 90 minutes for a motel to rest at before my mother, who was helping our search from home, found this one. She paid $ 164 after tax. Ridiculous? Absolutely. We didn’t get a suite. We got a king sized bed & a twin sized pull out. Though I was glad to have my mom’s help & a place to lay my head, when I checked in, the GM greeted me. He was callus and rude in his approach to my stay & even used the F word while checking me in between complaining about the fact that he was ready to leave for the night. Professionalism is certainly not his strong point. After crashing for a few hours, we got up, excited for the breakfast that we heard everyone enjoying outside of our room. It was 9:42 when we stepped out of our door and were about to get breakfast. After determining that the waffle mix was out of stock, I went to ask the breakfast attendant if he could refill it. Rudely, he told me «nope. That’s it. We’re done at 9:30». Had the GM told me the breakfast hours as opposed to complaining about his desire to leave work, we probably could have gotten to eat as opposed to crossing the shopping center to iHop only to pay an additional $ 40 for the four of us to eat. This review won’t be my last. Corporate will hear about this too.

My boyfriend is a Choice Hotels rewards member so we stayed over Easter while visiting relatives, and used his points for one night. It was the same weekend as the Heritage golf tourney, so we were surprised we had no trouble booking a room just 2 weeks out and the hotel was not very busy — but it was a really nice Comfort Suites in comparison to several others I’ve stayed in over the last year. It’s in a great location, right off the Bluffton Parkway on the main drag(opposite side of the Kroger shopping complex). There’s a lot located within walking distance; Stein Mart, a few restaurants, grocery store, etc., and you’re also close to Hilton Head Island. The hotel has a small pool(it was 90 the day we arrived, but the pool was empty — I wish I’d planned to lay out there for a bit!), complimentary breakfast every morning that was decent(I’d never recommend the«eggs» they offer, but this place had the best coffee of any Comfort Suites I’ve ever been to — plus self-serve waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, cereal, eggs and bacon — better selection that most). The room we had was very nice, very clean and ready for us an hour early without even requesting early check in. The room was nice and cool when we arrived — which was pleasant since it was really hot out! With its ideal location, I’d definitely go back to this particular Comfort Suites.

Clean and Comfortable! Nice clean and comfortable place to lay your head to rest! Staff were very nice! Free hot breakfast each morning from 6:30 to 9:30– nice selection of self serve breakfast food. Good bang for your buck and it is clean and comfortable! I would stay here again– did I tell you it’s clean and comfortable? :)
