This place is amazing!!! Atmosphere is top notch service top notch and most importantly food is top notch. Had the good old fried mozzarella with marinara and pesto for appetizer it was awesome!!! Then had the joyous agony burger(which is grass fed beef patty with jalapeños, chili garlic sauce, pickled onions and goat cheese) and wow what a flavor punch that burger had. Wife had the Virginia V burger(which is grass fed beer with pimento cheese, slaw, garlic mayo and thick cut bacon) and it was by far best pimento cheese burger I ever tasted. If you want to make your tastebuds happy take them to fat patties you will not be disappointed. Thanks fat patties for the best dining experience me and my wife had while visiting Hilton Head

First off let me start off by saying WELOVE Patties, just be careful who you get as a bartender. We went there today and we sat outside to get some sun. I admit I was a little disappointed when I saw our bartender. You see we have had her before and she is mediocre at best. Well today proved to be just as bad. The first beer I ordered, killed the keg, no problems I just ordered another beer, now mind you she didn’t offer a beer list or anything else when we sat down, no worries. We sat there listening to a great band Low Country Boil. Really enjoying ourselves. Well when it came time for round 2, she took forever, BUT once again the bar was pretty busy, we waited and waited, and waited. Finally when she asked if we needed another we said yes, and asked what replaced the killed keg well evidently they couldn’t replace, for some unknown reason. SO I ordered another of the same that I had. Listened to the band, and we were going to order another but after 15 more minutes of waiting, decided enough was enough. We left and will definitely scope out who the bartender is next time we go there. She was TERRIBLE. A lot of my family is in F&B so we are very, very, very patient. She is TERRIBLE.

Absolutely Amazing! Great atmosphere, warm friendly service & the burgers can’t be beat(there’s got to be 20 varieties, each better than the next)! Beer, beer and more beer the list is mind boggling. Also you can eat on their covered porch(it’s heated)! I really hope that after a taste of some success, they don’t go down the crapper or hammer the locals by sending their prices through the roof. We’ll see, I’m not buying one of their T-shirts yet!

I loved this place. I have lived in the Bluffton area for a couple years now and finally got around to checking it out. I work in the Beaufort area and never got around to going to that one that they have there. Anyway the burgers are sublime and the service was great! I have zero complaints. The only reaaon I didn’t give them 5 stars is because my burger was a little underdone. I asked for medium well and got medium rare. I still ate it(the beef and bacon pattie) it was really flavorful I just felt nervous eating undercooked pork, for those of you that don’t know they have a pattie that is a beef/bacon mix. It is really good and the waitress let me know that it is going to be pink in the middle becuse of the pork. I had no issue with that but just wanted a little more doneness in the burger overall. Either way I recommend this place and you should check it out.

This is a great spot for families, groups or friends to gather. The menu offers burgers, chicken, veggie burgers and brats in every possible variation of toppings and bread. It’s a fun atmosphere, both inside and outdoors. They are also a microbrewery. Fun spot and a wonderful addition to Bluffton’s ever growing dining options.

We love FatPatties. We drop by for a beer on the way to doing something else or hang out for a game. Chad and April at the bar are the best. Fun time. Excellent beer. Great food. Good music — go outside to the patio for a comfy place to hang out with friends. Just the best place to be in Bluffton.

I couldn’t wait for this place to open. In my humble opinion, a good hamburger is the ultimate in comfort food. Who doesn’t remember sitting at home as a kid, and eating a good burger? That being said, I came in hoping to get a burger that could blow my mind. I knew going in I wasn’t going to get a double royale Truffle burger like at DB in NYC, but I also knew I wasn’t going to pay well over a $ 100 for a burger. As you walk into Fat Pattys you notice it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It’s very open and the interior just feels right for having a good burger. To begin, I came in on a Thursday after 2 pm, and this place was still a bit busy. That’s a good sign. The hostess takes me to the table, and the waitress is at my table within a minute. Another good sign. As I order my soft drink I start to understand the menu. It’s actually a big menu, with its choices of «burgers» either beef, turkey, shrimp or black bean. Why are there tacos on this menu I ask myself. That seemed a bit odd. But I’ll go and try them one day. I thought about what I wanted, and I decided I wanted to try something simple. The bacon beef burger with pepper jack cheese. Lettuce and onions. It comes with fries that the menu says are seasoned with sea salt and rosemary. The salt… yes. the rosemary never made an appearance. Too bad! I love a bit of rosemary on my fries. The wait for the burger was a bit questionable though. Even though I said it was a bit busy, there’s absolutely no reason to wait half an hour for a burger. I must say though, whoever cooked my burger, knows his temperatures. I ordered Medium Rare on the rare side, and it came out perfectly cooked. My only complaints about the burger, we’re that the patty with the bacon, doesn’t have much bacon in or on it. As a matter of fact, I was going to call the waitress over to let her know that it was missing the bacon. I did eventually find some bacon and didn’t complain. The other complaint was with their«home made» burger buns. It was way too big for the patty I got. I filled up on bread. The beef patty tasted of good fresh beef, but after having lunch for one person, and paying $ 17 with tax and tip. That’s a bit high, but I’d probably pay it again to bring my boys here for a good burger. They love their Double Doubles from In-N-Out burger and their ultimate shake shack burgers in NYC. I’m sure if they eat here, they’ll be somewhat satisfied, and we will have our burger joint to run to when craving comfort and a good burger. I wasn’t WOWED by Fat Pattys, but I wasn’t completely disappointed either. Unilocal reviews do not allow for half star reviews, so I say 3 up top, but will say that it’s closer to 3 and a half stars. They only need to work on a couple of things. And then this place will be SPOTON. Now let’s see if I can help them Invent their version of the DB Royale. Then I’d then be there weekly

This place is on point! I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always consistently awesome! The warm pimento beer cheese dip is something Guy Fieri would«put on a flip-flop.» The burgers are all out of bounds. The Burn So Gouda has the right amount of heat and sweet and creaminess to be a burger you can’t put down. The Crabbie Pattie(only available at night and you HAVE to get it with their shrimp pattie) is insanely good. It’s what every crap cake and fish taco tries to be but in burger form. Then there is the ice cream; the burnt marshmallow has a grown up sophistication begging to be made into an ice cream s’more sandwich, the Fruit Loops taste like you should be watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles while in pajamas while eating it… the cookies and crime, the key lime, all super delicious with a perfect consistency and the right amount of flavor! It is worth the drive from Savannah… seriously! The staff is super friendly and fun and knowledgable of the food. Julie was particularly awesome!

Tried this place out for the first time on New Years Eve. Atmosphere was nice and the menu sounded great. Seems kind of odd to have the entry point and host stand to be where all the food it coming out of the window? We all ordered burgers and they were just okay. The meat itself was really dry even though we requested they be cooked medium. We also ordered shakes after our meal and they were pretty gross in my opinion. I think this place possibly has potential if the menu can be executed in a more consistent manner. I would say the service was a little below average. It wasn’t awful but I don’t think we will be back again next year when on vacation.

Ok we have given this place some time, however the service is still lacking. The food is good but getting refills on drinks takes FOREVER! Just doesn’t seem like there is any desire for service. Last time I tipped the Hostess because she took our order and brought out our drinks. Saw the waitress once and that’s when we asked for the check when she came over to introduce herself. We were already done eating! If this place can get their act together it will be a great place.

So conflicted. I have been here 3 times so far and can’t say enough about how great the food is and the beer selection is amazing! Chicken tacos were fresh and wonderful, but they pile on the fresh jalapeños which could be a bit spicy for someone who isn’t a fan of hot! Turkey burger was fantastic, as was the beef/bacon patty! Can’t think of anything I wouldn’t recommend to eat… as long as you can get a server to come over. Our first visit was great! Then there was the second visit, where the service was sorely lacking, the ONLY time we saw our server was when she brought the check. Our entire service was completed by the hostess, Kristen, who was the one who took our order(after waiting 20+ minutes for whoever was supposed to be there as our server). we actually walked over to her and handed her the tip since she did all of the work. Today’s visit we did see our server, but she acted like she had better places to be than here. Overall, the food outweighs the service, so we will definitely be back, just hoping that the service improves.

New spot in Bluffton, so it has been busy every night. We visited mid-week arriving at 7 pm. Walking in to meet friends, we were overwhelmed by the noise! With the two story metal framed building, the noise was deafening. We had trouble talking to the waiter & our friends. Food — not great. My turkey burger was dry and lacked flavor. My husband’s chicken sandwich was also unappealing. Mounds of French fries were ok, nothing outstanding. Too many other nice spots in Bluffton… not returning.

The service is great; the whole setup of the place rocks… Everything is super cool except the burgers. The patties are micro thin & the fries are just basic fast food dumped in a fryer variety. They claim to have homemade ice cream but it’s not. Go for the atmosphere &DON’T eat the crappy overpriced burgers Just drink.3 stars for staff & atmosphere ONLY.

Worth the wait. After months of anticipation Fat Patties/Salt Marsh Brewery is finally open and they did not disappoint. Huge burger menu with dozens of toppings and sauces to choose from. Burger options are Grass Fed Beef, Turkey, bacon&beef, shrimp or black bean. I had a beef burger with a fried egg, bacon and cheddar cheese, delicious. Beer options are extensive. Whether you like a basic domestic, local craft brew or fancy specialty they have it. I tried two Salt Marsh brews(pepper pumpkin porter and hoppin IPA) and liked them both. You can get any beer on draft to take home in a growler($ 11-$ 20+ dep). Great options for kids as well and they have home made ice cream for dessert. The atmosphere is very unique. You have the option to sit inside, out front near the street, outside in the back or at one of two bars. They have live music and project the main game on a large wall outside. Plenty of tvs inside and out as well. As is the case with new restaurants, they are still ironing out the kinks with their service but the staff was very friendly. There is off-street parking in the back and also some dedicated spaces for golf carts. Also very easy to park on Bluffton Rd near Peaceful Henry’s. This place will be incredibly popular.
