ok. if you have never had 5 guys you should because it is different and the fries are some of the best. the burger is what you will make of it. I make mine loaded/good. but it is not cheap and the drinks are waaay over priced. I get my drink at the dollar tree and bring it with me. most of the food here in Bluffton /Hilton head is more expensive than in So.California. why? we will go back… many times.

It’s a chain. Goes right threw you… Very good if constipated!

I would have liked to give this franchise a better than average rating, but the cost of the burger, $ 7.99 and $ 3.99 for an order of fries turned me off. The fact that when I bit into it, that I could see the grease just ooze out, was also a factor. It’s a simple enough premise… walk up to the counter, choose from the selection tio of about 5 different burgers, choose the size fries you want, the toppings you’d like on your burger, and step aside and wait to be called. Being a transplant from Southern California, I so wanted to have something similar to In-N-Out Burger, but this place can’t hold water compared to them. I’m sure they have their own following, but I’m not a fan. I could have gone to a couple of sit down burger joints on the island and had a better burger, fries and a drink for the same price. I’m probably not going to return, and I’m sure the owners won’t cry.

If you are a Five Guys Fan, this place lives up to your expectations. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Our food was awesome(which is what we love about Five Guys). FYI if you haven’t been here before a regular fry feeds my family of four. Enjoy this place with the kiddies for a quick bite! Open until 10pm

Great burgers, but in my opinion over priced… Fries could use work…

Not the best five guys experience. It was very cold inside, the French fries were extra soggy and were salted way too much. It does have the lovely new soda machines, but wasn’t the best five guys ever.

I know a lot of people who believe Five Guys to be the greatest burger joint ever. And judging by the reviews they have posted throughout the restaurant, many critics agree this place is fantastic. But for me, Five Guys didn’t live up to the hype. Was it a good burger? Yes. But the best cheap burger I’ve ever had? Nope, not even close. The staff here was amazing. My husband and I had never been before, so we didn’t understand the difference between the«little» burger and the regular. Usually«little» means tiny, like a junior burger. Not at Five Guys. The«little» is a single patty; the regular has two patties. The guy helping us let us know the little would be satisfactory for me if we were getting fries(we were) and that the regular would be great for my husband. I really appreciated this advice, since the amount of fries they gave us was huge! Could not have asked for a better cashier; he was great. They make all the food fresh, so your order takes a few minutes. A very nice touch that not enough fast-food establishments use. My burger was okay. I love a good, simple cheeseburger, and this was good, but not the greatest I’ve ever had. Even though the single patty was enough food for me with the fries, the burger felt very thin. The burger had plenty of cheese, but it didn’t seem like the cheese had much flavor. The fries were good; they keep skin on and salt them up – a lot. They bordered on too salty, but since I love salt, I can’t complain. My husband loved that malt vinegar is an option, along with the standard ketchup. This Five Guys has the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine, which is what made me want to come back to Five Guys every day. The machine is tricky to figure out, but once you have, it’s amazing, the flavors you can try. Grape Fanta Zero? I would gladly come here often just for access to that wonder of a soda. So I love the staff, and I love the Freestyle Machine. I like the fries. The burger, what they’re known for, is just not as great as the rest. I’d give them 3.5 stars, and I’ll come back.

Good ‘olé American cheeseburger? Hell yeah. Fries with some skin on ‘em, yep! If you’re looking for ‘gourmet burgers,’ this isn’t the place. The other 2 reviews on here made me LOL. This is a typical Five Guys location with good burgers and fries. The Pininfarina Coca-Cola machines are epic and a MUST-TRY(and I don’t typically drink sodas). I find the«Little» Cheeseburger to be just right and of course, the fries are ALWAYS enough for 2 people(hell, maybe even 3).

The burgers and fries are so greasy here, that you need a bib in order not to ruin your shirt! The workers say they’re juicy, but the way they smash the hell out of the burgers, there is no way it’s juice. The fries were soggy and lifeless, and way to salty! The prices at the five guys are high and the burgers mediocre at best. They will never achieve In and out burger status, which it’s obviously trying to copy. Not impressed at all!

The restaurant appeared clean and everyone who worked there was friendly and seemed to be happy they were there. I’d say this is the kind of place where they are appearing to be all about quantity. You order at the counter where the menu is pretty simple. Burger or dog. Name your toppings including grilled mushrooms, hot sauce, grilled onions, etc. at no extra charge. Whether you’re dining in or getting it to go, it all gets put in a brown paper bag. Visually, I didn’t care for a paper bag spotted with french fry grease. I’m not kidding myself that this is a healthy meal; I just didn’t need the extra reminder of the fat and calories I was about to consume. Burgers were large and if you’re a mutli-topping kind of person like myself, be careful, at first I thought the the bun was resistant. Actually it really was not, as the bottom bun got soggy and then my burger began to fall apart, perhaps my grip was too tight? I don’t think that was the problem. Fries have the skin on them which I like. Portion was large. Although well-loved by others, I’m not sure this is my kind of burger joint.
