Worst pizza ever. Being from Pgh I tried to like it. Crust is like cardboard. No taste and hard ick

Ordered a Sicilian pizza and it appears they forgot to let the dough rise. The pizza was flat and you could see where the dough didn’t rise. Terrible. It was like eating raw dough with some sauce and grated cheese. All for $ 24.00 If you decide to order stick with the heroes. Better yet, go somewhere else.

I am from NY where the pizza is pizza. I was skeptical about pizza down south since I have heard stories of how it’s just not the same. It definitely isn’t EXACTLY the same but it’s pretty dang close! Giuseppi’s was great and if you’re visiting and need some of the pizza from back home, order from here!

Always an enjoyable experience. I might recommend the addition of the buffalo chicken dip to the takeout menu as it’s missing and shouldn’t be. It’s superb!

Came in before 9 on a Sat. night. Rude bartender, rolled her eyes when we got there, basically cleaned everything around us while we were there. Horrible. We left to go to another pizza place. mWe did order fried zucchini, which was a greasy yucky mess. Stay away!

Giuseppi’s is, by far, one of the best places to eat in the Hilton Head Island area. The food is always good, the atmosphere is dark and relaxed and the staff are very friendly. We come here quite frequently and are always satisfied with our order. The fried chicken salad in particular is really good. I’d recommend Giuseppi’s to anyone whether you live here or are on vacation.

$ 52.00 for a 20″ pizza(margarita style) plus a 12″ ultimate white pizza. Good people of Bluffton — I’m from NYC and OUR pizza isn’t even that expensive. Now If it tasted like $ 52.00 worth of pizzas I probably would forgo writing this review. Honestly we would have been better off heating up some Amy’s frozen pizzas out of a box. ANYTHING would’ve been better than what we all ate last night from Giuseppe’s. Shame on me for paying an exorbitant amount of money for less than sub par food. Take my word for it and keep searching.

The deep dish pizza is amazing! Just order extra cheese. I also recommend the wings. I love this place and can’t urge you enough that if you are in the area you MUST check them out if you are a fan of pizza and pasta.

This pizza is so good. We ordered the stuffed Giuseppe Special and it is great! The side salads are small but the ranch is good. Overall this is a great meal

Had a philly cheesesteak while kids had pizza. Had an appetizer of Parmesan bread knots that were delicious.

We are locals, and we dine here quite frequently. The food is fresh and delicious, and their waitresses are most attentive. Also, there is a casual and welcoming atmosphere. I especially like their sweet tea and lunch specials. The Italian Combo is a favorite, along with their salads.

We went in here on a Saturday night after hitting the beach earlier in the day. We live in GA and were told that the pizza/italian places in HH are usually better than other areas in the south. As far as the actual food, it wasn’t bad. The crust is definitely better than a lot of other pizza places. The actual pizza sauce was forgettable, but it was still good quality. My issue was with the service. It was really dead when we went in there. We saw numerous staff sitting at the bar, not really doing much. Our waitress served us and then pretty much booked it until we were done. We didn’t have a chance to ask for refills, and when we were done, she took our tray and didn’t give us the bill for a solid 30 minutes. We had a long ride home, and sitting there waiting didn’t help. What made it laughable was that it wasn’t busy at all. So we waited because of someone’s negligence, not because it got really slammed. Anyway, to summarize, the food is pretty decent, but the laid-back service is something that should be improved upon.

Saw big crowd last night around dinner so thought we would get a couple slices of pizza for lunch today. Ok for BAR food; tastes good after 4 or 5 beers. Pizza toppings ok but crust was not very good. I only had 1 beer.

My boys and I tried this place last week. It seems to have a following, but as I’ve said in past reviews of pizza here in the south, either people have no clue as to what good pizza is, or they just don’t know good food from just below average food. We went in for lunch, it was very slow, but it was also a Tuesday at about 1:30 in the afternoon. Maybe they had a bussier lunch earlier. We started off with the parmesan dippers, basically little pillows of fried dough, tossed in grated parmesan cheese.(More like the stuff from the green can) than a good grated parm. There were plenty of the little balls of dough, and the two dipping sauces were ok. The garlic sauce was a bit on the salty side, but the red sauce was a bit bland, so they off set each other. I had a salad with ranch dressing, nothing out of the ordinary here. It says on the menu the salad is a blend of iceberg and romaine, but there was no romaine present in my salad. It had a few rings of red onion on it, and a pinch of grated bagged cheese. If it was Mozzarella or provolone, I’d be very surprised. I think it was more of a store bought BLEND. For our entrées my youngest son had a slice of pepperoni. It was a big enough slice, served hot, but the cheese on it, was again some generic blend, that really didn’t have much of a melting point. There were about 7 – 8 slices of pepperoni on it. My son said it was ok. He didn’t like the crust though. It was more like a Greek style crust than a proper New York Style Crust. My oldest son, who’s very finicky about his pizza or calzone wanted a white pizza slice, but they don’t do white pizza by the slice, and I wasn’t going to spend $ 17.95 for a white pizza, unless it came from PePes or Sally in New Haven. So he ordered a calzone with no sauce. It was as you’d think, a slab of dough, wrapped around some cheese and baked. They cut it as soon as it came out of the oven, so all the cheese basically oozed out onto the plate before it got to us. It was served with the same side red sauce as with the fried dough. Not great! I ordered 2 slices of the meat pizza. There was a substantial amount of meat on it, but it was really salty. I think the sausage is not made in house, and that was where the saltiness came from. There was really no trace of pepperoni on the slices, but there was what I think may have been crumbled«meatballs» if they’re homemade, I’d say they’re not made in a traditional Italian way. The pizza only really tasted of salt. The menu advertised this place as having won countless awards, both locally and nationally. It proudly boasts of some thing called the pizza magazine, or something to the effect. I’m sure that carries no water in a real pizza house from New York or New Haven, it also boasts other ridiculous statements about number 5 in the nation about something or another. I can honestly name 3 or 4 pizza houses in a small town in Connecticut that could make the pizza here cry in shame. It says a lot about how great they are in the Bluffton /Hilton Head area, but since there aren’t any really good pizza houses here, that’s not saying much! They’re a big fish in a small pond. It’s not cheap either over $ 40 with tax and tip. I’m sure the tourists with ties to Pittsburgh love this place, because it’s a shrine to all sports teams Pittsburgh. If you like that, then I say visit this place! But if you want good food or pizza for that matter, I say DONTWASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY! The food just isn’t really worth the money. 2 because I’m really trying to instill an honest opinion on food here on the island, and I’m hoping the chefs or owners will understand that I really do know what I’m talking about. I’m not some glorified food critic, I’m a well traveled and french trained Chef who’s cooked both french and Italian food. Both to some acclaim in Ct. And Rhode Island. L.A. and in NYC

In town to visit friends. Where to go to eat? We were told, we have just the place: Giuseppi’s. We arrived just before 6PM. Our scout party had arrived before us and secured us a table. Good thing. The place filled up quickly. Hand tossed dough. Neutral(not sweet or too bright) sauce. Pulled chicken breast(a note on this. The chicken on my pizza was a chicken breast that had been pulled apart and then added to the pie. Real chicken. That floored me. On a «special» priced pizza night, they still sent their best? I was impressed) and pineapple. Ham, whole black olives, and mushrooms on second pizza. third pizza had Italian sausage(balls of sausage). On Wednesday there is a $ 6.00 special $ 2.00(before 6pm happy hour for beer — so if you arrive before 6PM, order your beer, and then pizza at 6PM, 2 can eat for $ 10.00. Crowded and noisy. Dine in or carry out special the same(for the Wednesday 6PM special). Large crowd waiting to be seated. Attentive server, even with the room being filled to capacity. Cellone’s bread in from Pittsburgh for hoagies. Pittsburgh motif. Iron City Beer. Highly, highly recommended. @Removeyourhat Added to unexpected pleasures list.
