I have two words for the reason for this high review: tuna salad. I do not know what they do to make their tuna salad so delicious and unique but it is the VERY best. My husband and I are addicted to it. Usually I just go in to pick up so I cannot speak to the restaurant part of this establishment but the people behind the takeout counter are always fast, kind, and will listen to particular orders. Their nova and cream cheese platter is always fresh and great. Also their Matzoh Ball soup is always delicious. Finally their giant almond cookie with chocolate in the middle is one of the most sinful desserts I can find. It is perfect for those of us who do not like super sweet desserts.

Grabbed breakfast quickly with my mom a few weeks ago — the line was long when we got there but we moved through pretty quickly and were seated within 10 – 15 minutes. Our waitress took a bit of time to get to us, but once we ordered, the food came out quickly. I think they probably needed another server to help out because we weren’t really spoken to much beyond getting coffee and our food. Everyone was very nice and helpful, but it was pretty crazy in there. I know it was a Saturday morning, so I understand. Food was good — standard deli fare. The cucumber side salad is delicious, and I don’t even like cucumbers most of the time. I think the place is pretty standard, and you’ll get the food you’re looking for. I’d go back if we were in the area again but probably would not seek out the place again.

Growing up in the Jewish deli capital of America, New York, I was cautious about getting my hopes up. Too many places claim to be «authentic» but this place is the real deal. I was raised on Katz’s deli sandwiches and Bagel Works is a contender. I had the corned beef and pastrami on rye with mustard, onion and tomato and it was incredible. The potato salad was really good but the coleslaw was kind of bland. I sent a pic to my wife and she ordered me to bring one home. I will gladly oblige.

I am from Atlanta Ga. We have deli food but nothing like this. At Bagel Works I thought I had died and gone to bagel deli heaven. Everything was delicious… bagels, nova, cream cheese, capers, onions, etc. and whitefish salad and the works. Swift service because they want you in and out. People are waiting. Do you want to wait forever for wonderful deli food? Hey try a toasted flagel. I did. Ate half later and it was still yummy.

Somehow I had never heard of this place before even though I’ve been in Boca for years, I have been missing out! I had one of their bagels the other day and now can’t get enough! The bagels are perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside plus toppings on both sides! Do yourself a favor and hit this place up!

Love the food at this place. I have been there many times and am always very satisfied. Portions are huge, food is always good, fresh coffee consistent, and service is usually good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars this time, is that the server was not very pleasant. She was a little on the sarcastic side. It’s a first, so I do recommend this restaurant and I will go there again.

Listen, I know you all think I am crazy considering I am writing my 6th review for this bagel place and I get it, I really do. But the truth is for a long time they were all over the place, in other words, they were not consistent. I also know I previously stated that I won’t be returning. Well, I couldn’t stay away and for the last several months I have returned quite a few times, on the low down. I didn’t check in, I didn’t say anything, because I needed to know for sure that they got their act together before I wrote about it. My reviews: 7⁄135 stars 3⁄145 stars 1⁄152 stars 4⁄154 stars 7⁄151 star 2⁄165 stars I honestly feel that they were up and down due to the staff. Some of the kids were grumpy and some of the men were awesome. When the kids worked the counter they wouldn’t pick up a rag and wipe the counter down if their life depended on it. When the men worked, they were always cleaning and wiping the counters down. That’s why some boys are boys and need supervision and that’s why the men just naturally do the right thing because they are adults and they do their jobs amazingly well. Wow, what a difference seven months makes. All the lazy kids are gone and I have to say the counter guys are all wonderful. They remember you, they ask about your family and they package everything correctly and they are nice! And even better they have personalities! And they have common sense! And they keep everything nice and clean! They remind me of the guys who worked in the delis back on the Island. Please, if your wondering what Island, skip my review and go to Einsteins. This is a true NY style bagel shop, complete with a dining room and an amazing appetizing counter. This is the only place I would spend a small fortune on Nova and Salmon Salad. They are famous for their Tuna, and it is truly the best I have had, it’s even better than my own. The Whitefish Salad is scrumptious and even the Chicken and Egg Salads are phenomenal. The Veggie Cream Cheese is still my favorite but let’s face it, they know what they are doing and everything is good. Definitely try the Cucumber Salad, trust me, it’s out of this world. And if they have any knishes in the deli case, grab one for later, they are worth the carbs. Let’s face it, lox and all Jewish appetizing is expensive. We all know that you get what you pay for. For me personally, I will only buy it here. I don’t mind spending the money because I know that the food is outrageously good. Yes, they have had their ups and downs. But I am confident that they are doing everything right now. The super friendly counter guys, the high quality ingredients that make everything taste amazing and the place is spotless. What more could you ask for??? We all work hard and the counter guys do everything right so please remember to tip them if you are happy with your service. Although I find it silly that the person who I tip loudly says«for the boys», if that’s my only complaint, so be it. They are a great crew and they deserve some acknowledgement. If they pool their tips, that’s up to them. Oh, one last thing I forgot to mention. They changed the Chicken Salad recipe and they removed the dill. I love the new and improved Chicken Salad, it’s so good. A big thanks to ownership for serving the best Jewish Soul Food around. And this is coming from the ultra picky Jewish girl from the Island who for some reason wrote six reviews for Bagelworks. And please, if you have to ask which Island, please don’t.

Great place for a bagel! Does not compare to bagels from Einstein’s. Much cleaner place and feels like a restaurant and deli. Bagels are fresh and they stuff them well.(The bialy & everything is better than the multigrain) Their commuter breakfasts are a great deal. I was slightly overcharged(it was a new price decrease item) on one occasion but manager made things right and this shows they care about their customers. I love their nova spread. It has pieces of nova in it. Much better than other places. I will try the other stuff next time. I hear they will make you a custom wrap which is good.

Literally my favorite breakfast place in the world. I live in nyc and only visit boca once a year, so when I am in boca I’m at bagelworks every morning. They have the best bagels and tuna I have ever had. Negative reviews are ridiculous — the line out the door at bagel works says it all.

A little pricey, but best nova platter in Boca, hands down. Awesome if you like crusty and chewy bagels. Also, the new French Toast bagel is insanely good. Like Cronut good, no joke! Just lightly toast, light butter, and some syrup for dunking, freaking amazing.

I’ve been here several times, and I’m finished with this place. Take-out service is just horrible. There is nothing but total chaos at the front counter. The people who work there are so hassled that they continuously get things wrong. On my last visit, I asked for 6 pumpernickel bagels. When I got home, I found I only had five. I suspect that the owners have never tried a mystery shopper to give them some genuine feedback about the front counter, but take it from me, life is too short to have to put up with that kind of tsuris. Second, this place is seriously expensive. Those six bagels and two packages of Tate’s cookies came to $ 21. That’s ridiculous, and shame on me for paying without first questioning it. I’m sure I was overcharged because the counter person got my order confused with someone else. To then get shortchanged on the bagels… well, suffice it to say it’s the last time I set foot in Bagelworks. If you’re a connoisseur of good bagels, try Way Beyond Bagels or Brooklyn Waterworks. I can’t say that their service is any more personalized, but it definitely isn’t chaotic and I feel confident that their employees can count to 6.

We have been eating here since we moved to Florida 24 years ago. It’s a great place for a great lox and bagel hankering. My husband orders nothing else. The omelettes are huge and I love the home fries with bits of onion. The salads are amazing too. The burgers look delicious, but we can’t get away from the breakfast foods! I have had their challah french toast-mmmmm. It’s not a fancy place, not very big, but the food is top quality.

There are two kinds people in this world: those who like delis, and those with whom one should not associate. Damon Runyon quipped that, but I think even he would take a pass on bagel works. Matzoh Brei is one of those wondrously weird Jewish dishes. Matzoh is dampened a little bit before cooking in the egg. It becomes a little soft and has a little bite, like pasta al dente. What was served had a consistency more like mush than the famed kosher cracker with eggs. Perhaps the waitress thought that I had no teeth. The rest of the plates emerging from the kitchen had zero plating, the eggs were sloppy greasy messes, and the deli case is loaded with poorly presented items drowning in this and that white sauce. Yuck. So many good delis not too far away like Zingers. Why be here?

Let me start by saying that I have been eating here for years. The food has always been good and I like the new menu choices since the ownership change. My biggest complaint here is the inconsistency of the service. I usually sit at the counter since it should be faster. This morning I ordered my food and a cup of coffee. After finishing both and sitting there for at least 15 minutes with an empty cup and my plate already been taken away by the busboy, the server finally asked if I needed anything. During this time she walked past me countless times dealing with her regulars and answering her cellphone. I left extremely annoyed and even though I like the food and the location is right by my office, I would consider going somewhere else in the mornings to get my breakfast. I do go for lunch occasionally and again the food is good. I am not a fan of their tuna salad which they claim is the best. It always tastes a little too fishy for me. Try the turkey club, it is good. There is one server at the counter from Brazil who was not there this morning but is always friendly and helpful. They need more people like her in this restaurant.

Bagelworks did the trick for an early morning breakfast on the run. I wasn’t in the mood for the buffet breakfast at the hotel, so I drove down the street to Bagelworks which is located just west of the Florida Turnpike along Glades Road, in the back corner of a small shopping plaza. The place was plenty busy at 7 in the morning, but the crowds moved quickly from placing the order to paying to waiting for the pickup. There were lots of people behind the counter scurrying around to prepare each order, and another team was back in the kitchen baking more and more bagels. The guys would come out with big wire tray full of fresh bagels, and then load up the display cases before scampering back for the next round. Unlike a lot of the commercial bagel joints, Bagelworks has about 15 different types of fresh bagels with an equal number of schmears and spreads. I got a big chuckle from all of the smoked fish on display — clearly the lox, smoked salmon, sturgeon, etc were popular sides with the crowds. They also had bagel sandwiches, wraps, eggs, waffles, pancakes, and combination platters for breakfast. The lunch menu had hot dogs served on bagels, paninis, deli sandwiches, salads, and more. According to the menu, they are known for their homemade tuna fish, but I was there at the wrong time of day for that. Instead I just ordered a toasted sesame seed bagel with a schmear of lite veggie cream cheese. All things considered it was a pretty boring order considering that some of these ladies were placing their Jewish deli orders for the entire office. If I’m ever in the area, I’d like to stop in for lunch some time.

Colorado just doesn’t do bagels. Well, Not very well.(Einsten’s anyone? Bleah.) So, when I visit Mom in Boca(because that’s where Moms live, right?) we go to Bagelworks to quench my bagel and smoked seafood craving. Our favorite is the 2-Fish Platter for Two.(See Photo.) 2 generous portions of smoked fish(Nova, Lox, Sable, Sturgeon, Whitefish) served with 2 Bagels, 2 scoops of Cream Cheese(2 kinds if you like) plus Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, and Olives. At about $ 25, some people might find that pricey, but in my opinion, since it easily feeds two of us for two meals, and the Smoked Fishes are very high quality… AND I just can’t get stuff like this at home… It’s totally worth it. They’re stocked with my favorite deli Usual Suspects, too: Halvah, Dr. Browns Cream Soda, Snapple… It’s just my kinda place.
