Boca Burger House

We found this place on Unilocal and wanted to give it a try based on other reviews. We like to try all the burger spots we can and this one did not disappoint. The burgers were big and delicious, made with quality ingredients. It does compare with the dukes burgers in our opinion. The fries here are excellent. I also will give 5 stars for the service. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our drinks were refilled without asking and the waitress even gave us a treat to have after the meal. It was not crowded and the place appears to be nice and clean. We will be back to try some of the other burgers and check out the wings.

Finally decided to try this place. Great selection of beers! I tried the super house special. Onion rings on the side (they were soggy), pickle was really good and the tomatoes were very good. I took off the bun (but it was fresh, I’m just not in the bun mood, well hamburger buns that is). Over the burger was ok, bacon was great and the egg er ah well um well… Service was good, beer was cold, and the food was ok. I’m sorry if I’m dropping $ 12+ for a burger I’d like to be impressed. Burger was pretty much tasteless. Yes it was fresh but no seasoning/​flavor at all.
The good: Great selection of beer, great place to chill at and enjoy that wide selection of beer. Service was good. Also 2 for 1 HH beers!
The not so good: Burger no wow factor at all. I’m the guy that would drop $ 50 for a burger, but I better be «This is the best damn burger I’ve ever had!!!» Owner doesn’t seem very happy with this place. Honestly charge $ 6 and make your money off the massive beer selection.
I’ll try the wings next time.

I ordered the «Super House Special» and it may be the biggest burger I have ever seen in my life, so well worth the price. I was initially disappointed that fries weren’t included when I arrived for my pickup order, until I opened the bag. Slicing this thing in half is literally like making two regular sized burgers. Even the pickle spear seemed gigantic!
The only negative is that my burger was cooked to the wrong temperature. I like a good sear on the outside with a medium center and this thing was well-​done like a tire. My suspicion is that because the burger is so large, and not a traditional patty shape (more like skirt-​steak) it’s probably tough to judge the consistency throughout. But, the burger veggies were fresh and the egg on it wasn’t overdone. My only suggestion would be to make it sunny and runny!

I’d never been here before but found them on Unilocal.Read some of the reviews and was like alright I’m down. My aunt and I went here for lunch and as we are waiting for our food we see 2 burgers go by and say to each other holy cow are those the burgers? Turns out they were. They are HUGE easily double fisters but damn are they good. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a great burger. A little on the pricier side but definitely worth every single penny.

Burger wasn’t great, think of steak and shake type squished burger. Order came out wrong, nobody cared. Then they hit me with the bill, and boy did I get hit. 2 people, burger fries, no beer, $ 50. But it’s all good, I just won’t go back

This is a sub-​par burger house, and then they had the audacity to raise the prices on their mediocre food. Also, the service is atrocious. When this place first opened it was good, but due to the last three times I got food here I have made decided to never go back again.
The first bad experience was when my friend and I were dining it and the service took forever. Also, our burgers were over cooked. (I ordered medium-​rare, my friend ordered medium-​well, but we both got well done burgers.) We decided not to send burgers back because the hassle was not worth it.
Then since the service was terrible, the next time we got food here, we ordered take out. Again the burgers were cooked well done.
Lastly, we tried once last time to see if this place was capable of completing an accurate order, only this time we ordered our burgers rare and medium-​rare. But, surprise — we received two well done burgers yet again. Also, the lady who helped us was absolutely the worst hostess/​server I had ever met and solidified our decision to never return to the business.

This place is a little too slopping for my liking. However they do have some great healthy options that taste good. Their salmon is always too dry though. My friend got a burger from there as well one time and it was presented so sloppy and the meat was way too big for the bun.

We have visited Burger House several times in the last 6 months, as its walking distance from our house. We won’t even mention what we’ve experienced the last 2 times we visited. But tonight we decided to give it another chance.
I’m only going to discuss my experience tonight… We ordered 2 burgers. I always cut my burger in ½; which I did tonight.
Before preceding to take my first bite I noticed a big black hair in the middle of the burger.
I call the waitress over…(I’m not mad, as I understand this sometimes happens) she’s very apologetic & sends the burger back.
No problem. I understand as my wife & I are both in the business.
We get our new burger. (Remember I cut the first burger in half).
It looks like a new burger; new bun, pickle & onion… but the problem is the actual burger is cut in half.
Yeah, they used the same burger. The same exact burger I sent back with the hair THEY USED to present as a new burger.
Now I’m mad. That’s just not right!!!
Especially as I explain that I understand that it can happen. Why not just make a new burger (all of it) to give me peace of mind.
We called the manager back over & she just kept saying she was mortified.
When I spoke to the owner (who was also the cook) he said, «I gave you a free burger», but he couldn’t explain himself… We simply left with a bitter taste in our mouth. Yes, thank you for comping our burger… but you still chose to use a practice that would be considered against code of health. How do you live with yourself morally???
Just think we caught them… how many times a day do they violate food service preparation health codes to save a buck???
After this experience, Although, this is walking distance we will no longer patronage this business.

The place makes an amazing burger. Little place, really cute, great staff. The Small menu is perfect!
It is a giant, good old fashioned yummy burger cooked exactly how you order them every time!
And the homemade fries are so good. Great sauces for them! Don’t go here expecting to diet. If you’re in the mood to really enjoy a burger and splurge on some amazing fries, this is the place. Like to die for!
Also has a pretty good assortment of craft beers.

The selection of beers and drinks was very good. The onion rings were awesome. All the burgers were very good. Appreciated the check in offer of a side of fries. The staff were courteous and helpful. Definitely will be back!

Burger is huge, awesome and pretty cheap but a lil greasy. Buffalo fries where unique and good. Cola instead of coke was a bit of a meh but def worth checking out.

First time visitor, I ordered the 009 with cheddar and grilled onions and the house sauce. Expect to pay about $ 15 with tip… And that’s with no fries. When my order arrived I was impressed by the presentation. I was not too happy to see a dry and stale pickle on top. The waiter also added raw onions even though I did not request them. Just a basic misunderstanding. He was a good waiter and was attentive. The burger was well-​done even though I asked for medium. Waiter offered to redo it, but I said it was O.K. Regardless, the 009 was delicious and had just the right seasoning. I totally enjoyed it, was very satisfying. I’ll be coming back with the family…

Pro: This place is good for brunch but there is only one waitress so you have to be patient. The environment is very friendly and positive. The food is tasteful and have good texture.
Con: burgers are too expensive. Purchased 2 and it costed me $ 23 which did not include drinks and fries. However, the dishes are pretty large. Still is not worth the price.

To all my Burger buddies — just ate at Boca Burger House — very good $ 11.99 burger and $ 8.99 bucket of Cajan Fries
Very big on both counts — big buck burgers = fair to good Cajan burger had it all and spicy too
Cajan fries = five star (all opinions are mine).
Service was very good — their open till 11pm Don’t live here but this place is worth checking out IPA beer too

I’m probably more than a little biased due to the fact I have had burgers at scores of places throughout South Florida. But having been to Boca Burger House a couple of times since they opened, due to it being close to my office, I can say that while it’s good for a quick sit down, grab a burger, and go, it just doesn’t hold up to other known establishments in South Boca/​Deerfield Beach.
Food wise, the burgers and wings are consistent and the service is fine when I’ve frequented. The size of the overall burger including the trimmings you get are big, and the price is solid. You won’t leave hungry and unsatisfied, especially if you’re on lunch break or in between classes at FAU near by. They do carry an abundance of great craft beer, which is a definite plus, especially for happy hour.
However, the problem is due to the multitude of places in the area known for their burgers, there’s nothing that stands out that puts BBH on the level that’s upper tier. Ultimately, my rating comes from personal preference regarding other places I have been to that were simply the best from the type of meat used, the buns, and the trimmings in play.
But if you’re in the area and need a burger for a reasonable price, it’s worth checking out and making your own conclusions.

When this place just opened aroind my house there was not a lot of customers. When I and my friends went there together to give it a try, we were shocked that how good it was.
Burgers are so delicious and humongous and full of fresh cut vegetables. Fries are clean and spiced freshly. It was a festive experience and everytime I go there now I feel the same.
Now it is not so slow for them. Last time I ordered food to pick up and it was full of people. Good for them.

Great and unexpected place to have a tasty and HUGE burger at a reasonable price.
The burgers and fries are huge and I could not finish them all, but I definitely give this place a thumbs up in terms of quality and taste. I had a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was fantastic and I had to order the burger medium to medium well as I like mine cooked a little more than the standard medium rare that I saw other eating.
This restaurant will definitely be popular with the FAU crowd.

Tucked away off Federal Highway in Boca is the best burger in at least the 561, and the first burger to have defeated me! I’m talking about a burger too big to finish, that gave me meat sweats, and full nap when I got home… and I’ll be back for more!
I heard about Boca Burger House from my friend Brenna R’s review, and decided to check it out since it’s about 10 minutes from one of my construction sites. After GPS pointed me in a ability residential neighborhood I saw it next to a tattoo place and barbershop. With a few outside tables, the inside has a mix of different craft beers and a schematic of different cuts of meat drawn on a cow. The owner was there, pleasantly greeting everyone and the waitresses were just as sweet checking on my order and keeping the soda refills coming.
My Unilocal check-​in hooked me up with a free plate of thick cut fries, with a perfect sheen and a helping of sweet BBQ sauce. My main course was my (attempt at) finishing their delicious Big Boy Brisket. As the name implies, I ate two juicy beef patties mixed in with provolione, cheddar and swiss along with veggie fixings. Fat Boy Carnivore heaven! I suppose there could have been a little more BBQ sauce in the patty but thankfully had the sauces with the fries. Alas, I could only finish ¾ of my burger and will have to be back for another attempt.
