My husband loves Houstons. I could take it or leave it. He likes the dark atmosphere, with a beer and a juicy steak. I found the menu limited for those who don’t eat red meat.

I always really enjoy coming to this restaurant for dinner. Have never been for lunch but my boyfriend Nick and his boss Steve usually come here quite often for lunch. It has a dark romantic ambiance, usually pretty noisy and usually pretty packed — making a reservation would be wise. We usually get right in because of Nicks boss. I love the fact that you can see into the kitchen from the restaurant. I think thats always a fun an awesome feature in a restaurant. If you are into Stone Crabs they have them when they are in season, not on the menu but they have it as a special so be sure to listen to their specials. I usually stick to the same thing when I come here, love the artichoke as an appetizer and then the Tuna Salad for dinner — I definitely think that it’s way better than J-Alexanders Tuna Salad, and they are basically identical, but this one has more flavor and just seems to be better quality. My boyfriend usually gets the Tuna salad or another salad when he comes in for lunch and he is always pleased with it. I think nick mentioned that they removed the Hawaiian Rib-eye off the menu, which is his favorite thing to get for dinner so I think he is a little disappointed. The service is always exceptional and moves fast. Definitely a great place to come.

I wasn’t expecting this to be good but it was for the most part. We got the smoked salmon for an app which was delish on toast with the sauce. We also got the ahi tuna salad. Oh my goodness that was amazing. I’ll have dreams about it it was so delish.

Sooooo much better than the Broward County location. Always busy, for obvious reasons. Professional, efficient service. Small selection of craft beers(nothing unique or rare). Salmon made to order was fresh and rare, not overcooked. Allergy questions answered quickly and correctly. Simple, contemporary décor and sparkling clean restrooms. Moderate prices. Ample parking in busy private lot. A class act.

After waiting over an hour because they don’t take reservations for parties over 4 the table was not big enough fit seven ! We had to bring chairs to make move In fact they really not have rabies. Sufficient to seat 7 or 8 !! The food was good but they dint know the meaning of «medium» when cooking a prime rib But the worst part was the service terrible Ask for a glass of water and it comes without ice We had to flag down the waitress to get our order taken Won’t go again

Just walked in and while I was organizing a table with the hostess my husband returned from the Gentleman’s bathroom and told me we were leaving Apparently it was absolutely disgusting in there He pointed it out to the hostess, she looked a little confused If your bathrooms are dirty how clean is your kitchen?

We arrived at 7 P.M. for dinner and had to wait for 60 minutes. After being seated, we waited for approximately ten minutes before a waitress greeted us. We ordered a caesar salad, prime rib and rack of pork ribs. The caesar salad was ok but not a great value at $ 14. The lettuce was crisp but the dressing was average. We then waited 40 minutes before a manager came to the table to apologize for the long wait. He offered us a free desert for the long delay in receiving the two entrees. The entrees finally arrived and the prime rib was excellent with a side dish of a loaded baked potato. The pork ribs were extremely tasty as well. We then enjoyed a slice of key lime pie which was tart and good. Overall the food quality was excellent but the slow service, lengthy wait time and value for the price would cause us to venture elsewhere for a while before we returned to this restaurant.

I love this Houston’s and always go when I am in town for business! The food is always delicious and the wait staff is extremely professional. The last time I was at Houston’s, I ended up leaving my lululemon jacket there. I called the next day, after I was back home in TX and they had it and said that they would mail it to me.

This used to be my favorite restaurant but after the last 5 visits I grow less and less fond of this Houston’s. The food just keeps dropping off, I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly but I always end up leaving disappointed. The service is great but if I am going to consistently wait 15 – 45 minutes for a table they have got to get the food back to where it used to be.

We love the food, the atmosphere, and the service. NEVER disappointed! Just had the best yellowtail snapper special and was happy to be able to substitute my favorite kale salad for the regular vegetable. We only sit at the bar which is always interesting for people watching!

Celebrated my niece’s 18th birthday. Really good time, good food and terrific service. I paid nearly $ 50 for my New York Strip, and it was fantastic … worth every scrumptious bite. It included a couple of Stella Artois. Special occasions call for places like this. I certainly wouldn’t work this place into my normal routine, but wouldn’t hesitate to visit again to celebrate one thing or another.

For my boyfriend’s birthday, we decided to gather our friends for dinner at Houston’s. We called ahead to make reservations, but they don’t accept that for parties over 6. We just said okay and took the risk of just going. We got there around 7 p.m., and asked for a table. She explained how there are only two tables that can sit that size of a party, and we’d have to wait until it opened up. At that point, she said it would only be about 30 minutes. We thought that was perfect since everyone hasn’t showed up. I go back to her about 30 minutes later and she told me the people were not almost finished, they were eating appetizers. I’m like why didn’t you say that before because we’ve been waiting around. I go back to the group and explained what the hostess told me. As they were deciding on a new place to eat, I went back to her and told her that I was upset that we sat around for 30 minutes and we aren’t going to get the table for another hour. I was not about to wait an hour and half just to be seated on a weeknight. She goes back to the table and checks on the status. She’s like, «Oh, I am sorry. They are actually eating dessert and almost done.» Anyway, about an hour of waiting we finally get the table. As the vegetarian, I was cautious about what I was going to order at a steakhouse. The group wanted to find an appetizer that I was able to try. We asked if the spinach dip was vegetarian. It was not since it used chicken stock in it(this is common most places too). So vegetarians, avoid the spinach dip. I started with a salad(no bacon). It was a nice, hearty starter salad. For dinner, I had the veggie burger that was very tasty. The entire dinner was delicious and filling. The only reason that I gave them 3-stars was the how unorganized and confused the hostess was.

I normally come for the ribs, which are the best ive ever had. The Caesar salad is phenomenal, although the portions are getting smaller. Also got the Cajun trout, which was excellent. The sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes were also very good. This place never disappoints

We’ve dined here numerous times and the experience is usually closer to 4 stars. Not on this occasion. We arrived at the restaurant around 6:15 and were told the wait would be 20 – 25 minutes. We inquired after 20 minutes and were told it would be another 20 – 25 minutes. We inquired after 25 more minutes and were told probably another 15 – 20 minutes because people with reservations kept showing up. It would seem probable that a restaurant would assume a certain percentage of parties with a reservation will keep them allowing for a better forecast of accurate wait times. It doesn’t appear that Houston’s is able to adequately handle walk-ins and those with reservations even on a random Monday evening. A number of parties had waited as long as we did and were eager to share their displeasure with the process. Several parties simply left after waiting an hour.

I really enjoy Houstons. The service is fantastic, the quality of the food is fantastic, the menu is a bit limited but there are options for just about everyone. This location is ALWAYS busy. We try to get there for lunch on the weekend when they first open, about 11:45 and can always get a table. We’ve had here the smoked salmon appetizer(wonderful), grilled artichokes appetizer(amazing), prime rib sandwich — worth every penny of the $ 19 they charge, seared tuna salad(delish), grilled brook trout(my favorite). I LOVE their kale salad and red cabbage. Oh and they also have a great spinach dip appetizer. They have a nice wine list, full bar, great atmosphere. Even dining at the bar is enjoyable. Slightly pricey for a chain, but well worth it.

If someone told you they had a bad experience here., they’d be lying. Hungry and looking for a bite to eat in Boca, I stumbled upon this gem of a steakhouse. Immediately after entering, I knew we had made the right choice. With an interior of stone walls and wooden floors, the restaurant offers its patrons a rather rustic scenery. Well laid out menu with different Having visited with some tough company at dinner, I can certainly say the waiter, Rich, offered us speedy service with the utmost level of courtesy. Helped us navigate the menu, responded quickly to complaints/concerns. Our glasses were always full and the staff as a whole went above and beyond to meet our expectations. I landed with the Hawaiin Rib eye steak and a side of coleslaw. The steak was excellently prepared with special Hawaiin-flavored seasoning, but it was the coleslaw and taboulli which really impressed me. The taboulli had clearly been freshly prepared and coleslaw was one of a kind with terrific dry cabbage(as opposed to the overly moist coleslaw drowning in mayo I have often encountered). Can’t wait for my next visit here!

Came in during lunch. The place was pretty packed and it was not a long wait time for seats. Both land and seafood were phenomenal. Totally love this place and our waiter was friendly and honest. The rest of the staff were friendly, as soon as we walked in, we were greeted with hellos from behind the counter. My orders were: + Unsweetened ice tea. Freshly brewed in the house! + Grilled Artichoke appetizer. The only non seafood appetizer that looked intriguing to try and it was my first time trying a grilled artichoke too! Served as three pieces(that would be one whole artichoke plus a half) Great first time experience(ate it like eating a leek) and the dipping sauce, I totally hogged it! + Grilled chicken salad with a side of avocado. I was a bit hesitant getting the chicken because 1) not a fan of chicken because 2) it almost always turns out overcooked and too dry. Not in this case! It was thinly sliced, moist, and tender! I loved it so much that I only had a few small pieces of chicken to share. My friends had seafood; salmon and tuna. They didn’t have any complaints since they were too busy stuffing their faces and enjoying their meals and a lot of nods and mm hm to confirm their foods were great.
