Went with friends for my BD. Great meal and service. Great surprise after reading some negative reviews. Josephine was very gracious and remembered not seeing my wife in some time. Everyones meal was perfection and delicious. Our sever could not have been better. The value was amazing. Can’t wait to return.

Fine Italian dining with live music, the 3 course dinner for $ 35 is a reasonable price for high end dining. Free Valet parking in the front, but self parking spaces in the back.

Not at all to our liking… Bread = 4 small slices for 4 adults at dinner? Can they spare it? Manhattan Clam Chowder? We thought this was an Italian Restaurant? We ordered Rollatini, Eggplant dinners, did they have to put the pasta on the same plate so the the sauce, which by the way tastes as if they opened a jar in the kitchen was draining into it? This dish should not be served like a Chinese combination plate. Service also has a lot to be desired. Had to keep asking for sides which we’re forgotten, cheese for pasta etc. All coffees, capacinnos, regular, decaf and espresso were so weak they were undrinkable. Don’t waste your time going the food is not worth the costs…

Food came out cold for four of us. Waiters were rude. Not a pleasant experience. Will not go back.

Nice surroundings, reasonably good food and service. Although perhaps overpriced. We paid $ 145 for a couple and we are not big drinkers. I left a 15% tip. After being warned about tip-padding, I checked our credit card statement. It seems someone at the restaurant altered our bill after we left and added a 20% tip. I made a complaint by phone and several days later was assured ‘someone’ had pressed the wrong key by mistake. I don’t accept that was the case. We will not return.

We recently dined at Josephine’s, it was a restaurant we had intended to make a regular on our rounds, however, after the discovery of having our bill altered, and the tip we left augmented by someone at the restaurant, we shall not ever make the mistake of returning. I find it almost unbelievable that given the chance to correct the situation, this restaurant did not. The restaurant owners were made aware of the situation via personal conversation and all that we asked was that they get back with us after speaking to whomever they thought was responsible for this fraud. They assured us that they would, however, that was 2 days ago and we’ve heard nothing. So if you’re dining at Josephine’s be sure and keep your credit card receipt and check your statement afterwords because you may find that it isn’t what you signed when you left the restaurant.

Had dinner there last night and had a very bad experience! While the place wAs decorated nice and the owner was there the food and the service were horrible! The meatball was cold. It tasted good and looked nice however, it was served COLD. The entire came and I had some and my date had the trio. The potatoes were hard and cold. My sole was very good but my dates trio was not. Half way through dinner the bus lady came by twice to ask us if we were finished. I had half my food on my plate and half a glass of wine in my glass however she came by twice to rush us. Obviously wanting to go home so we gave up our plates. I had a cannoli which was stale and tasteless! I didn’t eat it. The owner never came by to say hello or ask how things were even though the place was empty on a Wednesday night. Will never go back will not recommend this place to anyone! It’s ll too bad because the place was decorated so pretty.

I couldn’t possibly give a restaurant with delicious food one star, so I will give it two. Our waiter was very polite, kind, and knew exactly what he was doing – I cannot say the same for the owner. The dining room was tight, elbow to elbow, with little room for holding ones fork to their mouth. It took about 20 minutes to get a second round of drinks, 45 minutes for our salads, and an hour for our food. Normally, I wouldn’t mind. Except for the fact that I was with my mother who was disabled, and we were a part of a large party which included a small child. The icing on the cake was when a waiter dropped a dish and splashed salad dressing all over our party. I understand that mistakes are made, and I am always gracious and understanding of this, but when I mentioned all of this to the owner – including the fact that my sister in law had to leave with my niece because the food took *that* long to be served, she scoffed and told me it wasn’t her fault we had a «cranky baby» in our party. After what was a disaster of an experience, she offered us one drink and took zero responsibility for *her* mistakes. It was nobody’s fault but hers. She had an understaffed dining room that was over booked to the point where I could feel the person next to me breathing on my neck. Everything would have been fine if she was polite and kind, but she was not. She was entitled and rude. I know, shocker – it’s Boca Raton. If you’re looking for an enjoyable experience, avoid this place. Authenticity exists beyond the walls of entitlement, rudeness and immaturity – pretty much any place else – especially for the price.

Where to begin … This restaurant is a typical bait and switch. We ordered an expensive bottle of wine as advertised on the menu. The waiter brings a different vintage and year trying to pass it off as the $ 160 bottle advertised. As far as the food goes, same as any pizzeria around. No good specials to speak about. The mussels tastes disgusting. Were not fresh at all. The whole experience was horrible and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Unless you want to pay fine dining prices for pizzeria style food.

I used to come here as much as I could. The owner is great, She inspired me because people around her love her. She is great, a beautiful person. I can never get enough of those meatballs, they are the best. No other place like it.

We had to try this place based upon recommendations from others. It’s a pretty place and the owner is on site, which I like. The atmosphere is dimmed lighting with candles on the tables and they had a keyboard player in the main dining room. They have a price fix dinner menu which comes with an appetizer, dinner, dessert for $ 32.95. I had the mussels appetizer(very good), linguine pescatore(good) and took dessert home — which I think was a chocolate cake — I don’t really remember. My daughter had the eggplant rollantini appetizer and the rigatoni alla vodka. Hubby ordered off of the regular menu as he wanted mozzarella en carozza — which was really delicious and then he got chicken parm(decent). Service was good. Drinks were good. It was a solid dining experience but not sure that I’d make the drive to north east Boca just to eat here.

So sad! Always heard good things about this Classic Italian staple in Boca. Took my lil family for our Christmas Day meal. We were so excited for good Italian, yes we were. We even knew there was a limited menu… It appeared that we beat the rush as the restaurant quickly filled. The interior is pretty, we were seated near the entrance(or rather in the entrance table) but we didn’t mind. I was only hit once with someone’s purse as they walked by. Which was better then the woman in a wheelchair next to us that was hit in the head multiple times. Even our very professional waiter complained about her being seated there(maybe he didn’t hear the hostess tell them that was the only table for a wheelchair or maybe he just did not know, he was pretty clueless about everything). The limited menu had all three of us stare at each other as nothing was specifically Italian. Mom wanted to leave at that point as we all wanted Italian but we were already here and still had happy Christmas cheer in our hearts. I asked what the waiter recommended and he proceeded to look and read the menu over my shoulder. no recommendations for me. Mom and I played it safe with duck and chicken while Paul our token Italian ordered the ravioli(the only remotely Italian main on the menu). Mother asked what comes with the duck? The waiter replied«what it says on the menu», he then looked at the menu and saw nothing was mentioned and replied I am sure some potato and vegetable. My mom asked for a pasta and he said no problem(yee haw good answer!). Out came the bread which seemed raw in the center and filled with powdered flour. Then the first course(non description Cesar salad). Then came a half a chicken, duck and short rib ravioli. The ravioli was cold and gummy, all three of them, the duck had a nice sauce but was not crispy as any good duck should be and the chicken made me long for a cost co. Chicken. The sides of a cup of pasta with a tablespoon of non discript ragu was downright sad. This was a very very sad meal. The menu and quality should have been much much better for a restaurant at this price point and reputation. My advice is stay away on any day. You had your chance and you have been warned. And just for fun when we went to the valet to get our car they misplaced the persons car before us. Good times!

First time diners, decided to go in spite of some reviews! Our waiter Donny was attentive without being pushy, we went with the fixed price menu,$ 32.50 and both had excellent mussels. My wife had the salmon and I had the shrimp, chicken and veal in lemon sauce. Desert was a nice choc mousse and the bill with a couple of iced teas was around $ 75 plus tip. Valet parking nice in the rain, too. Yes, older crowd(6.30pm) but not noisy. Turns out our waiter’s first night, first guests but NOT his first rodeo! We both enjoyed our meals(and the crusty hot bread was great!)

The worst diner I have had in along time. the drinks were not right. the bread was appetizer of spedini was was not properly cooked. The salad was lacking In entrée was veal francese and gnocchi –veal not too bad-gnocchi raw and pasty. I give this restaurant 1 star. A good place for chef Gordon Ramsey to put on his list. I will never go back!

We went here for Mother’s Day, for the first time. There was only one fixed price menu, $ 40 per person, which was pricey, but the food was well worth it. I had the mussels appetizer and Osso Buco entrée and ricotta cheesecake for dessert. DELICIOUS! Others in my party had the seafood linguine — the dish was huge, filled with seafood. Andy, our waiter, was attentive and took good care of us and was especially nice to my two young sons. This is a very classy restaurant, perfect for special occasions. I highly recommend it.

The four of us had. A lovely dinner last evening at the Resturaunt. We all ordered from the pre fixe menu(lovely selection) I have certain dietary issue-not allowed garlic, certain veg. Dairy etc. Our waiter unfortunately did not care very much– he was more interested in taking our order, rather than try & accommodate my meal. We had to ask for bread several times, after a third or fourth time we finally got a very crispy delicious bread. The food was good The Resturant is lovely.

This is a very difficult review to write. We ate her tonight, February 22, 2014, a party of four. Our reservation was for 8PM and they took us right on time. The place was very crowed and noisy. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in taking our order. In delivering the appetizers, the busboy dropped an order of escargot on our friend… all over his shirt, pants and shoes. The rest of the appetizers were give and the escargot was replaced a few minutes later. But, the kitchen obviously timed the delivery of the main course based on the first delivery of the appetizers. So, we were not finished with our appetizers when the main course arrived. They took it back and the waiter said the kitchen was preparing new orders. When the main courses arrived, they were not hot, so we suspected they were not replaced, rather reheated. When the bill came, nothing was said about the incident of the food being spilled on our friend, other that the waiter offering his apology. Our friend was fit to be tied and asked to speak to a manager. A lady came over and after some discussion, and, our friend clearly stating he was not paying for his meal, it was taken off the bill. In all honesty, an upscale restaurant should have a policy in place when something like this happens. They should offer to pay for the cleaning of the clothing, and perhaps offer coffee and desert, or, a drink at no charge. That is simply good business. I thought my meal, Chicken fiorentina, was delicious, but the serving was a bit on the small side. My girlfriends meal, which was also a chicken dish was very tasty. I would go back there for the food. Had the incident not happened, I would give this a four star rating.

Nice restaurant. Was able to get a res for 6 people on a Saturday night with an hours notice(that’s a good start). Staff is on point, very helpful and friendly. Menu is plentiful as are the portions. They have a nice prix fix menu available for $ 29.95(app, entrée, and desert). Food quality was fine and nicely presented. I had the veal bufalino and was very satisfied with it. We will return and add it to our rotation when in Boca. Oh, and the bread was phenom(for Florida)!

First time visit. Have driven past and always see the parking packed… usually a good indication. Service was excellent,(Paul) had a good sense of humor without trying to be a comedian. Food arrived as it should, in phases. Appetizer bread and escargot(garlic butter sauce is heavenly). Even dipped the bread in the sauce it was so good. Salad and first entrée arrived directly after we finished. Main course arrived minutes after first entrée. All in all a good meal with average to high Boca prices… the food was worth it. We had chicken Marsala with French green beans and the salmon with French green beans… truly excellent. The cappuccinos were«combined» at the table… Paul brought 2 cups of steamed froth milk and added fresh espresso to each cup. Really professional. Ambience is nice and as some other reviews have mentioned there is an «above 50» crowd. Some can be loud with their conversations, but that can be expected anywhere in Boca.
