As much as this shop takes Sean to Hogwarts, it takes me back to the 60s, when incense and oil was«The thing.» Only this shop is a bit less funky. Okay, a lot less funky. But, even with the obvious omission of a zillion different incense burners and cones of incense, the merchandise is very similar. As you walk past this little shop, you’ll smell a blend of different fragrances in the air. It all combines to make a lovely scent. I was sent here by a therapist who recommended that I get some lavender oil, to help with sleep problems. There were two staff members in the shop, one of them in the back part, apparently deep in a consultation, and the one up front. She was very friendly, but didn’t seem to know much about the products. There were all kinds of cool things here; dozens of oils, perfumes, body products like shampoo and lotions, and healing stone or crystal jewelry. It was just a fun place to look around and smell all of the different scents. But, since we were sent for oil, that was where our shopping ended. As much as I like this shop, at $ 20 for 10 ml.(.33 oz.) of lavender oil, I was afraid to look at more exotic oils. Next time I’ll go elsewhere, but if you have the cash, this is a really cool place.

Harry Potter is one of my all time favorite movie series. If a school like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry existed, I would have most definitely loved to have enrolled as a student. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any such school, but I do have the option of shopping at Natures Symphony Aromatherapy. Much like Severus Snape’s closet of rare magical potions. Natures Symphony has some of the rarest hard to find spiritual oils(100% essential oils), such as hyssop, calamus, spikenard, palo santo and niaouli etc. Many of these powerful oils have been and are used in the sacred circles around the world, from the ancient mystical orders of Egypt and Chaldea to the modern day shamans of Peru. Like the harmonious current of yin and yang, Natures Symphony flows with feng shui like energy of spiritual and health products(face & body). I found unique sprays, incense, herb bundles, oils, lotions, soaps, precious stones, candles, bath salts and books etc. What makes this place unique is they manufacture their own oils & products from wild or organically grown plants. The owner Geraldine Whidden has owned natures Symphony for over 30 years. She also holds classes on Aromatherapy, Psycho-Aromatherapy, Holistic systems, Fragrance blending and Skin care etc. The owner and employees are friendly and welcoming, they were eager to help or explain anything to me.
