I miss this place. I have always had an amazing experience here, and I have neglected it for over a year due to distance! I remember its comfort and casual atmosphere. I remember the Chilean sea bass being one of the greatest dishes I have ever enjoyed, great salads, nice wine menu. The drinks were strong, the staff is attentive. I will be making a trip to Boca next week, I will have to stop at Opus. Maybe my experience will tack on a 5th star, wouldn’t surprise me at all. Eric Statzer Eric Douglas Statzer

Hip, pretty decent, but arrive early, expect a wait, crowded bar, bartender was not that friendly. Its always pretty packed. A little noisy if you’re trying to get a nice intimate dinner, on busy nights they’ll seat you in a table thats not too in the middle of everything, so try to ask for their spacious booths, food is yummy, but was not impressed with their so called kitkat dessert, I’m looking forward to ordering the lollipop cheesecakes :)

i really enjoyed opus 5. i went on my last day while visiting the area. i looked high and low for a restaurant in the area that would have tuna as an entrée, as it was a friday during lent and i couldnt have meat… we were seated at a lovely table outside, i guess since its florida they dont ask if you want to sit in or out? i don’t know, but i didnt mind since it was a beautiful night. as i watched the people whom i yearn to be like in a few years yet i’m definitely on my way…(im still in college), i ordered a glass of cab. my g-ma ordered a vodka tonic and said it was«pleasantly strong.» my g-pa, well, boring as he is, ordered a diet coke. a server’s assistant came over with a bread basket, literally a little red riding hood type basket and we got to pick from the assortments of bread. i was on vacation, i had a cheese puff and a piece of foccacia. as you know, i ordered the tuna, which happened to be yellowfin. it was a nice piece and cooked and seared exactly how i like it. dessert was absolutely fantastic as well. our waitress was so nice, she was funny and very attentive. didnt drown you with service or neglet you either, a lot of times one or the other happens. opus was my favorite dinner during my stay in florida. and i will be back! after returning home, to a dreary, rainy VA day, i received a voicemail from opus, calling to see how my dinner was, i thought that was a nice touch.

Trendy, good food, and in a great location(just around the corner from Town Center Mall where I seem to spend most of my time in Boca)…I like! We had our first«Meet the Fockers» lunch here where my parents met my fiancé’s parents… and you’ll be happy to know that everyone got along so the wedding is still on. ;) There weren’t many people lunching at Opus, which made for a quiet atmosphere for lots of conversation among our table. As for the food… I went with the soba noodle grilled tuna salad and it was fantastic. The noodles were a nice touch to the fresh tuna and best of all… it was very light so I had an appetite for the«Meet the Fockers» dinner later that evening.

My husband and I were out on a Friday night looking for a good restaurant at the Boca Center. We had never tried Opus 5, so we decided to go there. It looked very inviting with the Pottery Barn décor and all. We were seated at an outdoor table and we waited. And waited. And waited some more for someone to even acknowledge us. A server came to us and assured us someone would be with us shortly. We waited almost 15 minutes and left. No one even noticed! or cared. We ended up having dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby. Would give no stars if I could.

Opus 5 was taken over by the same restauranteurs who own other trendy Boca eateries like Henrys, Gotham City, and the Muvico Palace Theater restaurant, Bogarts. Like all of the restaurants, the change in ownership has been a turn for the better both in service and in the quality of the food. The restaurant is a hip, airy affair with plenty of patio seating out in a central courtyard that connects to the back of the Marriott hotel. Service is exceptionally good, but not overwhelming or high attitude. The food is masterful. I had a special sole wrapped around crabmeat served on a bed of cooked spinach that was one of the best tasting and best presented meals that I’ve ever had. A lot of people take lunch and dinner here. Many friends of the owners. Book a reservation. When push comes to shove for prime spaces, you might find yourself tucked away in the back if a regular is looking for that prime patio seating space.

The menu is contemporary American with a little Asian Influence. The ambience is nice. Trendy atmosphere and the dj spinned a variety of songs. I was there for a party so the menu was limited. However, I ordered the Buddha Ceasar Salad and the Pan Roasted Wild Salmon. The food was good. For a Friday, the place emptied out a little early. I expected a little more. Not completely disappointed.
