I went to Pei Wei earlier tonight with my husband and mom. I felt like they were not as clean as I remember them being maybe 6 months ago. We ordered our food and took a seat. Our food was delivered to us quickly. Within the first 5 minutes if us eating, I realized there was a piece of hair in my food. Extremely disgusted, i told one of the associates. She offered me another dish(ummm… no thanks) and refunded me for my dish. She was apologetic and kind, but it still doesn’t change the fact that they are unsanitary. I also noticed that the people behind the line cooking were not wearing anything to cover their hair. I will not be going back to Pei Wei, at least this location. This definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Been here a few times as an alternative to eating fast food. Stopped in today and observed the cook picking celery out of a dish with her NASTY fingernails before serving it to a customer. None of the cooks were wearing gloves yet they were all touching the food in some way. If you go, ask for the e-coli free menu

The best! This is not a mom ‘n pop place but it is as good as chains get. We ordered the Caramel Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Honey Seared Chicken plus the Traditional Chicken Lettuce Wraps for three. All of the food was tasty, piping hot, and super flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. The three of us were stuffed for $ 30 — would recommend this to anyone with a craving for yummy Chinese!

I have NEVER written a review for anything before ever in my life but this is the 3rd time I’ve had an awful experience at Pei Wei and I used to eat here at least once a week if not more. The last few months something has changed drastically. The girl at the register for take out used to be so friendly and alert and very helpful. Now they have 2 morons behind the register that don’t/can’t make eye contact nor have a «hello» conversation with you. Their take out service is absolutely horrible lately. The last time I went I placed my order online and it wasn’t ready 30 min later for my pick up time. They couldn’t find it I was told? Then they went to remake it– didn’t offer to refund my money and all the sudden found it sitting on the counter. It had been sitting for the full 20 min that I was waiting there. They didn’t offer to give me a new one– fresh order. I used to order the chicken with broccoli but the sauce has changed and its gross. Lately I have been ordering veggie fried rice with brown rice. I order extra veggies bc I want broccoli in it and the veggie friend rice has MAYBE one piece of broccoli all chopped up. 3 times I’ve payed for extra veggies and asked for just broccoli and I swear there’s no more than one or 2 pieces of broccoli after paying extra for it I’ve written to the company and nothing has changed. I’ve stopped ordering online and actually calling in the take out order and specifically asking for extra veggies just broccoli and I promise they don’t put more than 1 or 2 pieces all chopped up. Finally last week I went in and ordered take out and had to order a side of steamed broccoli with my veggie fried rice for an extra $ 3 bc the veggie friend rice does not include broccoli even though the menu says it does. I’ve complained to corporate 4 times. They send me a gift card and tell me they are sorry and I’ve also asked many times in person to please put broccoli in the veggie fried rice. Now that I have to pay an extra $ 3 for something that should already be in the meal I just can’t bring myself to go back. Especially when the girl and the boy behind the register have zero social skills or customer service experience at all! What happened to this place! It’s not like it’s so busy when I go in there that that could be a valid excuse. I’m so disappointed. Something changed. 3 months ago would have given 5 stars now if there was an option for zero starts I would give zero stars. It sucks and I wish they would do something about it. Is broccoli too expensive? Can’t understand for the life of me why they can’t put broccoli in a vegetable rice or even add it when you pay for extra! Get it together!

We usually go to Pei Wei when we’re looking for something great. The room is very nice, with a nice walkway to the ordering station with Coca-Cola Freestyle machines in back. The thing I like best about it is the honey seared chicken. I always have it time and time again. It is a breaded piece of chicken dipped in a succulent honey sauce on a bed of your choice of rice. The service is very good and we got our food very quickly. The adult menu has a lot to choose from, and it always leaves them deciding on what to choose. Overall, great chicken, great place and great food. Try it.

This is very salty food. If you love salt you will love Pei Wei. You can barely taste the food because of it. The ambiance is similar to McDonald’s.

I made an online order that included lettuce wraps and sesame chicken fried rice. Got home to see that they didn’t include the lettuce for the lettuce wraps, nor did they put the right sauce on my sesame chicken. The place wasn’t even busy, so I’m not sure what their excuse is. I called to let them know and they just said oh sorry about that… You had one job!!!

Best Pei Wei store ever. Trying other locations makes us appreciate this one so much more! Awesome cooks.

Quality has deteriorated tremendously and don’t think it goes unnoticed. Pad Thai had nothing in it but oily, soggy noodles. No more crisp green onions or bean sprouts. Prices went up too. I don’t get it.

I have never heard of Pei Wei before until I moved to Florida from NJ but apparently they are definitely a thing down here! It is a cheaper and a bit different version of PF Changs, but it is delicious! The dishes even have similar names to PF Changs. They have the Mongolian beef, spicy chicken, chicken lettuce wraps, and more. The atmosphere is very different and more casual. Customers come in, order at the front, are given a number to put at their table, choose their seat, and have their food brought out to them. I had the Pei Wei spicy chicken and it was very good. The sauce was definitely different than the PF Changs sauce. It was not as spicy and had a different consistency, but none the less it was the same idea and very good. This dish also had vegetables in it, which the PF Changs version does not have. For half the price, I will definitely be coming back!

Update. Although I like their food, I recently ordered and we picked it up and when we got home, we were so disappointed in the serving sizes. We still paid the same, but they didn’t even fill each side with the entrée. There was more rice than anything and for the price, we were disappointed and not full. I’ll need to change my recommendation and say it’s not at all worth the price. Very disappointed!

Update: food was really bad the other night. Vegetables tasted foul. Threw it away. Will not be back for a while if I ever give them another chance.

I’m very impressed. When we first walked in the people in front of us at the register left and I assume it’s because they were super busy with take away. My patience level is quite high when it comes to waiting for food so we stayed and they took our order. We got our drinks, sat down and didn’t wait long for our food. We got our food, sesame chicken, and a spicy tuna roll, correct. Then my pad Thai came out and it was chicken, not shrimp. Another skill set I am known for having is not complaining about orders. Honestly, it’s pad thai, it tastes like peanuts and usually the meat doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s not dry. About 2 minutes later, the server comes back and says«I’m sorry, you ordered the shrimp pad Thai and before I know it she switches them out and have shrimp pad Thai. That’s pretty solid service. I was really impressed that she came by and admitted mistake and well as even replaced my chicken pad Thai for shrimp, without me saying a word. Thanks Boca Pei Wei!

Overall I like Pei Wei and I’m not a huge chinese food fan. I always get the thai dynamite chicken. Sometimes it’s really good and other times just marginal. I guess it depends on whose cooking and which location you go to. This location it’s a coin toss as to how good it’s going to be. My most recent visit here was ok, not great a little to much sauce. The service was very good though, friendly staff.

This place is good. No complaints, quick and friendly service. I recommend the thai lettuce wraps and the pad thai. It’s in a convenient location and close to everything.

FAIL. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review update that has dropped from four stars to one, but this place managed to make it happen. Usually when I’m upset, I try to wait until the next day to allow myself to cool down before writing a review. But I need to get this off my chest. I placed my order online at 7:55 pm, with a pick-up time of 8:30. I got to the restaurant at 8:28. Cashier who refuses to make eye contact: Your order isn’t ready yet, but I’ll call your name when it is. Okay fine, I’m two minutes early, it’s cool. So I sit and wait. And wait. And wait some more. By the time 8:45 rolls around, 15 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready and whisked out the door, I realize they most likely never made it. The place just wasn’t that busy to justify this wait. So I stand up and walk back to the register, intending on asking what’s going on. The cashier, who still refuses to actually look at me, walks away. I hear him talking to the chef, asking what happened with my order. Chef: We made it. Cashier: I’ve been the only one handling food all night, I never got it. Chef: Fine. I’ll make a new one. Just give her the money back. The cashier walks to the register, says nothing to me, and voids my order. He then wordlessly hands me a receipt, still not telling me to my face what happened, or what the receipt is for(clearly it’s a voided credit card receipt, but no explanation given). No apology either. So while I’m appreciative that they at least refunded me(without me asking), the service — or lack thereof — was irritating, to put it mildly. (As I wait for them to finally make my order, two guys decide this would be an excellent time to hit on me. Read the room, people. Not a bright move.) When my food is finally ready at 8:55, an hour after I ordered the meal and 25 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, the guy bags it up and hands it to me, still without saying a word. I got home and opened my pad thai dish, and it just isn’t good. I always get this meal and this one is lacking… probably because they rushed to make it since they forgot the first time around. It’s bone dry, and speaking of bones, one of the chicken pieces had a small bone in it that was oh-so fun to bite down on. At this point I’m done. At least it was free, so I won’t feel bad about tossing it in the trash, because these dry noodles will be straight-up gummy if I attempted to reheat this later. Nope. Not coming back, at least not to this location. The service I so raved about in my previous review has done a complete 180 since then, and that’s a shame.

I’m surprised by this place, but for chain Asian food, it’s pretty good. I am usually not a fan of chain Asian food — I find it too greasy/oil-y/unflavorful. This place is actually pretty darn good — especially their tofu. I almost exclusively eat tofu at Chinese places — and this is the only place in Boca with decent tofu. I’ve had better — but it’s good here and the sauces go well with it. I’m a big fan of the Sesame sauce with tofu. The pad thai is pretty flavorless. The mongolian sauce is also good. The slightly spicier sauces tend to have the most flavor for sure. They serve you a big portion — I almost always have leftovers here. When ordering online or by phone, expect it to take awhile. It’s almost never ready when I am there to pick it up. I actually have seemed to get faster service for dine-in here.

Stepped in a here not looking for much but ended up stumbling upon another terrific Boca eatery. Conveniently located next to a large shopping complex, the Pei Wei features freshly prepared sushi and thai delicacies. Ended up with a delicious pad thai and 4-piece California roll. Both were spectacular. The menu prices here a tremendous attraction(I paid around 3ish dollars for a 4-piece sushi) The cashiers were splendid in helping us navigate the menu and later graciously delivered food to our table. Come check out this excellent, tidy gem of a restaurant.

I try to avoid places like Pei Wei. I usually get my Chinese food at a non-chain restaurant but I have been passing this place for over a year and decided to finally give it a try. That was a $ 24 mistake on my part that I will never make again. The staff was nice and the place was clean but the food was just gross. The steak and noodle dish I had was the worst. The meat seemed burnt and doused in some type of dry seasoning that it was fried in and the plain noodles were stuck together and gross, I couldn’t even bring myself to taste it. I also tried the chicken lettuce wraps and the spring rolls. All were just nasty and I threw most of it away.
