Our 20th Wedding anniversary and we told them at booking and upon arrival. First they tried to seat us in between the bathroom and the kitchen. When I requested a more intimate table befitting the occasion, they sat us at the front door. The table was cleared but filthy. I had to clean it with the wipes from my purse like I do at Disney World. Waiter was scattered and talked too fast like he had much better things to do than wait on us. Poor red wine selection and they charged my husband for each ingredient in his cocktail separately-seriously?-who does that? Food Ok, but, cold because it took so long. The one dessert I wanted, they no longer serve. Only one chocolate dessert option and not great. No anniversary acknowledgement. Wish I’d stayed home and ordered pizza.

Yummy food. Now they just need to get the one waiter to stop calling all the women«girls». Very demeaning. Could make it a bit brighter inside too.

I have been here many times. Always a good experience… good service, good food, comfortable seating, and I love how their bar looks(although I’ve never actually sat at it or had one of their cocktails). Hmm, guess I have to visit again to try that. Anyways, as I was saying, food has always been good. I’ve had salads(the kale one is delicious), sandwiches, steak, fish, and always have their shoe string fries that are addictive. Staff is always friendly, quick, and accommodating. For my brother’s wedding weekend, his wife’s sister and I wanted to surprised them with a family dinner, to celebrate their upcoming wedding. After looking at several places to fit a party of 20, and not charge us an «arm and a leg», Piñon Grill came through and the process was painless. In less than 24 hours I had already heard from them to start organizing and confirming their private room was available. They have several packages for events/parties. I chose the one we liked best but wanted to make some changes. They happily worked with me to make this happen and not adding much to the cost. Day of the dinner came, I had some balloons and things to decorate, which they helped with. They accepted them a little early to set up, and when we came in for dinner everything looked beautiful. Staff was, again, very welcoming and congratulating the couple and family. Service was fast and left enough time for everyone to enjoy each course at their own pace. I had the salmon that night, which is one of our favorite there, and of course the show string fries but, also tried the parmesan potatoes for the first time and now I’m torn on which one to order next time. The parmesan potatoes(these are like potatoes au gratin) are cooked perfectly, very hard to find good one like these. The skirt steak was cooked to everyone’s preference and they all agreed it was very flavorful, and perfectly cooked. To finish, we had their bread pudding with a raspberry sauce. Not too sweet, perfect portion, and that sauce just makes the dessert. At the end of the night all 20 of us were very happy with everything we ordered, and even more to see my brother and(now) wife so joyful. Thank you to everyone at Piñon Grill for helping us with this surprise dinner and make it such a memorable night. Your staff(and food) definitely earned 5 stars that night. Based on ALL my experiences it is a solid 4.

When I asked for Carmelites onions and a citrus sauce they didn’t give it to us. Also, on my cousins burger she asked for no mayonnaise but of course, the mayo came on it. Lastly, the best part of dinner was the bread pudding! It was so good

Had the seared ahi tuna salad. It was okay. Rather pricey for the small quantity of salad. Daughter orders pecan crusted salad — it was bready and heavily fried. Returned it and ordered Caesar salad with salmon. Was okay. Salmon was a little salty. I would give it another try

Great food and amazing cocktails. I recommend the refresher martini made with agave and muddled watermelon with infused vodka. Service was way beyond expectations. We sat outside and our waitress Sierra gave us great recommendations. I had the tuna taco appetizer and the roasted chicken with the cilantro lime sauce in the side. Chicken was juicy and well seasoned. We ended with a flourless brownie sundae. Will definitely be back!

I wasn’t expecting much so I was not disappointed when everything was just ok. I had the New Orleans pasta which was good. Tania has the meatloaf which was just ok nothing to write home about. Dessert was carrot cake and that was one of the best I had ever had and was as good or better than J Alexander’s. They also carry Erath Pinot Noir which is a good one and not too many places have it. Our server was Andres and he was very accommodating. If you aren’t a smoker then eating outside is not an option as it smells of smoke and cigars so even though it was a nice night we opted to eat indoors. It didn’t make an impression on me one way or the other but PF Changs is down the road and I’m more likely to go there or to Houston’s before here again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to avoid it either.

A small menu + high prices = no bueno. Piñon Grill is a nice restaurant in the Boca Raton Town Center, but it really has nothing much to offer me to come back. I came here with some friends on a Thursday evening to not much of a crowd, and we were seated right away. The booth we were seated at was very spacious, especially for three people. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit confusing. The bonsai tree logo means Asian to me, yet inside they have native American like figures outlining near the bar, and it isn’t that either. By looking at the menu, I guess this is American cuisine, but even then it’s hard to tell. Piñon Grill has a bit of an identity crisis if you ask me. The food overall was decent, but nothing unique that you cannot get elsewhere. The bread rolls were dry, and maybe a few days stale. Our waiter didn’t bring them out, we had to ask. On the whole, the menu was a huge disappointment. There weren’t many options to choose from, and I wasn’t exactly sure what the theme of the restaurant was. I guess Piñon Grill is supposed to be American, but the décor doesn’t mesh with the food selection. The American Kobe Beef Sliders as an appetizer was by far the best thing here. It came with three sliders, and they were delicious. I found it a bit weird that it came with a whole cherry tomato, no sliced. The Prime Rib French Dip was flavorful, but something seemed a bit off with the cheese; it was strong, not very subtle. The fries came with it didn’t have much flavor and seemed undercooked. A bit of an issue with the service here. Our waiter was a bit out of it, and didn’t seem to be on his«A» game. Our waiter shook our hand as we left, which I found a bit strange, and not in a good way. The pricing was nothing shocking for Boca prices, but nevertheless, it was unreasonable. Considering Piñon Grill is at the Boca Raton Town Center, they don’t do enough to stand out. The food options are minimal, and the food quality is nothing come back for. The actual look of the place is nice, but a bit confusing for a theme for the restaurant. I don’t have a reason to suggest Piñon Grill as a place to eat, but might be a place to try as a one and done. Food(B), Pricing(D-), Atmosphere(B+), Service(B-)

Love this place!!! Alllllll of the food is awesome, I think I’ve had the whole menu. All the servers, bar tenders, hostesses are very friendly. Good mix of people. 2 for 1 appetizers and drinks for happy hour 4 – 7. Hundreds of wines. Outdoor bar. Very clean and trendy. Love it.

One of my favorite places to visit when I am in Boca. The food is excellent with many flavorful options at a good value. The dining room is beautiful, comfortable, and allows you to hear the conversation. All of the staff is personable and professional. Ask for Christina, she is exceptional.

A tad on the pricey side but I guess that is Boca Raton for you. I liked the décor and the food was good.

My friends and I frequently eat here tonight was a disappointment drinks arrived nicely The bread was stale & old. The dinners arrived and mine and my husbands salad came without all of the ingredients. The waitress offered to bring a plate if missing ingredients and we declined as we had finished We’ve been waiting for the manager to come over and finally we had ask to meet the manager Juilo the manager came over apologized for the kitchen. He offered to take care of our dinners as well as dessert for my girlfriend and I birthday dessert. They redeemed themselves.

The veggie burger I’ve been waiting for. Housemade, red from beets, with brown rice, black beans, cooked on a flattop with havarati on top. Top veg burger. I don’t know what it is in Boca but they have these great grilled artichoke– this one was simply grilled with a Remoulade. –amazing! Paired with a flat tire beer for a perfect lunch!

Atmosphere leads you to think food will be good. Ordered Scallop Appetizer for like $ 12-$ 14. Menu says it comes with 3. They had the nerve to cut the scallops in half and serve us 1 ½. The waitress handled it appropriately and brought us another order, as if she’d heard it before but shane on them… second order actually had 3 whole scallops. That’s even worse, admitting they cheated us on first plate. I’ve never had that happen. For that, I will never return. And the calamari left alot to be desired, just smothered in sauce that made it mushy. With Blue Martini next door and consistent appetizers at every location, no need to back.

Normally if I’m going to go for upscale dining, especially lunch, I’m not going for a burger/steak kinda place. It ensures that the meal will be over priced and nothing will jump off the menu in originality. Not that originality is a must in a great meal but it adds to the experience. But it was a client Christmas lunch and I wasn’t picking the spot. It was a disappointment from beginning to end. The service was passable, which is to say 2 steps behind a drive thru. The food, which was 3 steps behind a Jack in the Box, was plasticy; made for a pallet that was merely aiming for quick consumption, not taste. Needless to say no one finished their meal and we took nothing to go. A very over priced lunch that was a huge let down Good news. They do have chocolate cookies, that something at least right.

2nd visit to Pinion Grill. The food wasn’t bad but the service/customer service was horrendous. We came in early for a 7:15 reservation and was told to wait we checked in again at 7:30 despite several tables empty that we still needed to wait. After being seated it took another 45 mins to get our order. We had to go find the waitress multiple times. Either they were short staffed or just poorly organized. Either way in a town of many restaurants and plenty of places to go… I’d pass this one up.

This place is either owned by Houston’s or is seriously trying to knock them off. Their menu is cryptically the same but different and their level of service is nowhere near that of Houston’s. I had two appetizers as my meal(it was lunch time). One was a crab and corn cake that showed up under this«nest» of fried noodles. It was really tasty and interesting to look at too. The other appetizer I had was grilled artichokes — served exactly the way they are served in Houstons and tasted exactly like theirs(which made me very happy). Portions are large, I couldn’t finish both appetizers. Hubby had the slow roasted French dip — priced just like the prime rib sandwich at Houston’s — and it came with shoestring potatoes just like Houston’s. They also have«very similar» salads to those at Houston’s — and sides — hmmmmm. Anyway, the food was good, but the service was horrendous. I was so excited to hear they had bottomless mimosas — and they make the mimosas with a different variety of juices so you can try the different flavors. I had a pomegranate one which was just ok — not very pomegranatey — so I went with a regular mimosa for my second one(they were flute glasses — I’m not a lush) and to make it worth the price I paid for bottomless, I had to go with one more so I asked for a ruby red mimosa — which came out with regular grapefruit juice so it was very bitter. Anyway, the service was very sporadic and S-L-O-W. I might come back and sit in the bar area where apparently they have happy hour with discounted drinks and appetizers. Oh — the atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful. Tastefully done, dimly lit — nice modern vibe…

I used to work at Town Center so I would come to Piñon for a treat sometimes. I absolutely love their Tuna Burger, I order it with the asian coleslaw instead of fries, their Crab Cakes are also good as well the Ceasar Salad, I order with salmon and it’s delicious ! Believe it or not their ginger ale is amazing ! My favorite appetizer are the crab fritters. I came for brunch one time and it was a bit disappointing, so I would stick to their regular menu. Sometimes service can be a bit slow, so if in a rush sit at the bar, the ambiance is awesome there.
