Shape Shop

My mom, future mother in law, and I were trying on every capezio dance shoe The Shape Shop carries while another customer asked us where we take dance. I responded that I used to take at Carol Colbert’s School of Dance many moons ago, but today we were shopping for wedding shoes!
Capezio dance shoes as wedding shoes? Yep. After trying on all sorts of uncomfortable designer shoes (Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman, and all sorts of others) we decided to go for the comfort route. After all, can’t see the beautiful designer shoes under our big gowns anyway!
Unfortunately, the capezio shoes didn’t fit my narrow yet ginormous feet. The moms had better luck and will probably be purchasing the shoes once Shape Shop gets the ones they want in their size.
We left empty handed, but we all agreed that we LOVE the shape shop. The owners and another young gal, April, that works in their shop were so patient with us as we tore apart their dance shoe department on the search for wedding shoes.
But this isn’t only a spot for dance and wedding shoes…
They have the cutest workout clothing (I may have to go back for this one pink top i had my eye on) as well as even regular clothing like jeans! The only thing missing is lululemon (my favorite)!
I actually used to shop for dance clothes here back in my Carol Colbert’s School of Dance… never would have imagined I’d be back here 10 years later looking for wedding shoes.
