I have been buying my running shoes from Stuart’s for over 20 years. Great shoes at great prices! Ask for Lorie. She is very knowledgeable! I will be back.

Stuart and his team are simply the best! Great value and quality. Stuart goes far beyond the ordinary to provide customer service. He is passionate about our tennis community and strives to get to know his clients and treat us like family 5 stars for sure!

Had a racquet strung here. Was strung loose, at least compared to how it has ever been strung before. Vibe is a little weird, the stringer doesn’t like to communicate directly with patrons, instead questions and answers were all sent through the cashier, who was actually quite nice. The stringer was wearing some big heads phones and didn’t seem to care too much either way. Probably won’t be back. «Tennis Anyone» offer a better experience and string job.

I’m really perplexed on how anyone could not like this store. It’s a great local store that sells running, tennis, and biking gear. The service is great and the prices are cheaper than sports authority for basic stuff(ex running socks etc) not sure about the big ticket items. The owner is very nice. I had asked if they sold just the straps for the polar watches and they didnt. As I was leaving he looked an actually found a couple and gave them to me for free. I was taken aback. He response was«now you have everything you came for», who doesn’t love that type of service?

Unfortunately, I am unable to rate Stuart’s of Boca Tennis/Running any lower than one star. Our family has spent hundreds of dollars in this business and I am writing this review now to encourage others to think twice before considering stepping foot into this establishment. My husband had dropped two tennis racquet off at Stuart’s one to be strung(newly purchased from Stuart’s) and a second one in which the string broke on a previously owned racquet. When our daughter went to use the recently strung racquet(completed by Stuart’s of Boca), the pro she was hitting with informed her based on the way the ball ricocheted off of her racquet that it had not been strung to the proper tension. She then got the second racquet and a second pro came over to observe the way the ball hit the racquet and stated the very same thing. Upon contacting Stuart about this mishap of the tension, he informed me and I quote, «I have not made a mistake in 31 years therefore, it must have been the tension that you told us was wrong.» Ok I understand mistaking perhaps, 58⁄56 but per the pros, my daughter’s racquets were strung with a tension that could not have been more than 40 but more likely 30⁄35. Now I understand that one can not go back and test the tension of the racquet once it has been strung but Stuart of Stuart’s of Boca would not even entertain the possibility of his business making such a mistake. I asked an independent gentleman not affiliated with the pros and who strings several racquets a day to provide me with his best guess on the tension of the racquets and he said 40. I decided to visit Stuart’s of Boca to speak again with Stuart, hoping to give him the benefit of the doubt and perhaps hoping he would take a look at the racquets and provide his own evaluation. WOW was I wrong, not only did he not want to hear what I had to say, he spoke over me and when I told him he was being rude, he came around the service counter and demanded that I leave his store immediately and to never return. I asked if I could get the stringers opinion on my daughter’s racquets and as I made eye contact with the stringer, he nodded yes and as I walked toward him Stuart come into my personal space(between me and the stringer) and refused his employee to provide his opinion or evaluation of the racquets. Stuart then got louder and demanded in front of all of the customers and employees that I leave his business. Now as I have stated earlier in this review, my family has spent hundreds of dollars in Stuart’s of Boca Tennis/Running business but I promise that we will never put another penny into this business. When I informed Stuart that I will encourage others not to go to his business he told me to go ahead, he did not need nor did he want my business. He was up for the challenge, so I strongly encourage you not to patronize Stuart’s of Boca Tennis/Running, Not only is Stuart an arrogant, pompous, rude and ungrateful individual but he is a classless business owner. If an individual believes that he has not made one mistake in 31 years, perhaps he really needs to reevaluate himself. Please do not shop here.

If you live in the Boca Raton area there is no better place to get expert advice and great prices on your next tennis racquet. I’ve been buying all my racquets and getting them strung here for 15 years. Those big box sports stores just can’t compare. Stuart and his staff are very knowledgeable about the racquets, clothing, sneakers and stringing they offer their clients. Longtime customers know when it comes to quick stringing emergencies or the need to demo some new racquets, Stuart’s will always be as accommodating as possible. For those of you who are also serious bicycle riders, Stuart’s Wild Ride has just opened up next door, offering Cervelo and other top-of-the-line bikes and gear. I’m guessing it too, in time, will become a Boca institution like Stuart’s of Boca.
