This is a small family run Sushi Restaurant that we came back to after many years and found the food to be consistent the portions large and the service good. If you are in the mood for a nice quiet intimate meal this is the place to come to… nothing fancy but it gets the job done. We tried a volcano roll and the Chicken Panang curry and they were both tasty and the servings were generous. We will be back!

«Do not judge a book by its cover» I’ve been coming to this place for a few years and it never disappoints. Stick to what you know and enjoy the fresh rolls. If I had to recommend 1 roll, it would be the Tuna Tower. It is served on a small boat and it comes with 12 pieces full of flavor and goodness. It’s crunchy, refreshing, no rice and the perfect amount of cream cheese. The service is always good; very friendly chef & server. Please understand that this is a one man show, so whenever there is a lot of people the server(wife) will get slammed, so take a chill pill have a beer or some yummy sake and enjoy life!

The sushi here is okay. I think there is better sushi in the area but this is a small family owned place and the people are super nice and sweet and the service is really good. I know they are trying really hard. The rolls were falling apart. I think they have too many food options and too many unique sushi rolls that are complicated to make. It seems nice but make sure you can make them easily and well. I’d say trim down the menu and focus on doing a fewer items really well. I hope this isn’t a mean review, I would eat here again. It’s quick and convenient.

Such sweet people. For years i have come here for sushi and just recently have been coming every week sometimes twice for their sashimi. Great quality and FRESH. It always puts a smile on our faces to see Rocky :) we were recommended to try the Nadine. Its big enough for 2 and surely is Heaven! Great people. Small and family owned. I send everyone their way! And whats better last night i was compelled to review them here on Unilocal. As an example of their awesomeness. We stopped in last night for dinner, thinking it was 9pm bc i had forgotten to change my watch forward. It was 9:57 and they closed at 10pm. Couldnt believe how insistant they were on us staying and taking our time saying«its okay we still have a lot to clean in the kitchen before we go please stay and enjoy!» although we offered to take our sashimi to go or to just come back tomorrow. We didnt linger as we were sure greatful for them. LOVEITHERE!

Melissa appetizer the best ever… have had many other sushi places add it to their menu after I had them make it for me a few times and everyone loved it. The Sushi is always very fresh here and this time even tried the Chicken Panang Curry and it was pretty darn good. This is def a hidden gem and have missed SoB the last 5 years…

Got the worst case of food poising I have had in 3 years. Place is dirty and son, yes my so was scared of men’s room. Not clean from first appearance and yes I stayed on recommendation from local and it cost me 10 hours of going back and forth to the bathroom. One star was for alcohol!

The BEST sushi in town by far! My husband and I are here weekly, they know us by name and we know them by name! No need to even look at the menu as they will create anything you want and there are VIP Customer Rolls on dry erase boards all over the restaurant. We recommend the 1st Date Tower as we created it!!!

The fam and I were looking for a new sushi place in boca and stumbled upon this jem. Very tasty meal and a HUGE variety of rolls. They have white boards on the walls with«VIP customer» rolls – cool idea. The only thing is a lot of these were difficult to read from across the room, so we just ended up getting rolls off the regular menu. No big deal, though, we’ll definitely be back. I also love how all of the other customers(except for us first timers) were on a first name basis with the owners and I think their son? It seems like a really friendly atmosphere.

This is our go to sushi place whenever we are in the area. Family owned and operated. We love the sushi and the chicken pad tai is outstanding! At lunch I get the bento box which comes with soup, salad, 2 shrimp dumplings, spring roll 5 pieces of sushi and 4 pieces of Cali roll for just $ 8 — you really can’t beat it!(also, more often than not, an extra piece or 2 or 3 gets thrown in for free!). Yes, it’s small and close quarters. So stop in to have some great food and maybe make a few new friends!

Our fav little spot. Consistently fresh and delicious. Big rolls! And there’s something about their rice that makes it better than other sushi places.

I am sorry to give a negative review but you will understand why. It is definitely cozy and small, tons of dry-erase boards festooning the walls with clients’ recipes for rolls. I like the family feel of the mom and pop team. However, because of the tight space, we were rather close to some typical Boca residents. It was getting busy so our server(she’s the only one) was getting backed up. The sushi selection is more than adequate and the prices are more than reasonable. My problem was with the execution of the sushi. The rice thickness was too much, but the worst part was the size of each piece. Every one of the 5 rolls we ordered were cut crookedly and way too huge for a proper bite. Maki sushi is supposed to be one mouthful so that you can experience it as a whole. These were 3 bites apiece which turns into a mess once you bite through the nori. Maybe the chef was having an off-day but it will be a long while before I give it another shot.

I’m not one of those sushi snobs that needs all that feng shui and modern looking décor to enjoy some raw fish. Truth be told, Sushi of Boca is a tiny hole in the wall. It’s located in a a strip center you probably drive by daily and wouldn’t think twice to eat in. Big mistake. It’s one of the best kept sushi secrets in the area. Family owned and run, the husband prepares the food and the wife serves it. They’re both very friendly as well as very appreciative of your business. When you walk in you’re greeted with dozen of chalk boards with lists of all their sushi. Don’t get overwhelmed. Stick to what you know and you’ll be fine. I love their spicy tuna rolls as well as the Wendy roll. Their ginger dressing is also great. I’m not that much of a sushi aficionado(all I eat is shrimp, tuna, salmon and crab) to label them the best sushi in Boca. I’ve heard those claims made before about this place and I certainly won’t dispute them either. Sushi of Boca is a nice break from all the glamor and glitz you’re used to with those other pretentious sushi places.

I am a huge fan of sushi and I just ate here and tried a couple of rolls, it wasn’t very satisfying or fresh tasting as sushi should be. I will deffinitly try another sushi place before I ever come back here.

Delicious– my favorite! Cheap– my second favorite! There must be 50 customer favorites on the white boards which have something for everyone. The«Tuna Tower»(minus the cream cheese) was so unique and really tasty. The rolls here are huge meaning the ratio of fish: rice definitely tips in the fish’s favor.

Sushi sushi everywhere! Tiny place w/one of the best sushi locales I have found in south Florida! If you love variety & finding a place with a TON of rolls to pick from this is your place. There is soo many rolls that they have more rolls written on the walls than in the menu! They have rolls created by their customers so I went with only the rolls on the wall and they were seriously great selections! This place should be called The only Sushi of South Florida!

My wife loved the Pad Thai. I was not impressed with the sushi and the service was too quick(done in 35 minutes)

I have loved this place for the past 11 years. We do both dine in and home delivery and have always been happy with the food and service. A family-owned gem.
