T J Maxx Store

I brought my friend to this TJ Maxx simply because this location is unique in where there is everything you need. I’m not happy with the customer service I encountered last Sunday.
My friend and I had a wonderful time until we encountered the employees at the cashier.
Usually when you approach a cashier at a retail store they will greet you with the very least a
«Hello». She was just unfriendly from the start.
It didn’t help when we had asked her fellow coworker for a price on the Tommy Hilfiger wallets that employee #2 proceeded to tell us there had to be the reduced price on the box. I simply was asking for the price since we had checked 3 other Tommy Hilfiger wallet boxes prior to asking her and there was no price to be found.
After our cashier rang my items up she didn’t even tell me how much my total was or speak with me. She acted like she didn’t want to be there and it truly showed through her attitude.
My friend and I were unfortunate to encounter her as our cashier. I’ve visited this store twice before and have always encountered friendly employees. I don’t think its too much to ask for decent customer service.

The selection of women’s clothing is vast, but the men’s selection is pretty small. Beware though, they have some of the rudest cashiers I have ever encountered! Two female cashiers were extremely rude to my friend and me while ringing up our items because two items had tags with no prices. I went up to the cashier for help determining the price, as my friend and I had looked through several wallets trying to find a tag, she did not have to have such a poor attitude.

This location is well kept and it’s the first branch store I’ve visited that had a «runway» section of all Hugh fashion and designer brands like Lanvin, tory Burch, Valentino, and more. The prices were way into the three digits but still greatly discounted from the original retail price. Then there’s a career section that features clothes safe for work. It’s well labeled which is nice. The fitting rooms are very well lit and the rooms are large and clean. Very impressed. The tops section doesn’t have alot of selection for the Fall season, they carry a lot of Naked Zebra clothing which are all sheer and free flowing, perfect for summer though. I did find quite a bit of Michael kors and Vince camuto clothing. The cashier that rang me up was a sweetheart and he told me to keep smiling. I love when there’s a pleasant cashier, it makes the shopping experience so much better.

I always wind up popping into this TJ Maxx when I come down to Boca. We inevitably forget bathing suits, sandals, you name it, and we always find what we need here at a pretty good price. I should also add that their selection of fragrances, audio accessories, and men’s apparel is really strong, much better than the TJ Maxx’s I usually shop at in NY.
One thing that really bugs me though is that they forced some poor geezer to do a comedy routine with the people in the check out line. I suspect that the manager thinks it’s a good idea to lighten the mood on the long lines by having an employee be «wacky». But seriously… this is making the wait FAR WORSE for everybody. Nobody wants to hear horrible jokes and have a back and forth about what’s printed on the receipts. We just wanna pay and go… and I’m sure the guy they’re trotting out there just wants to restock the sunglasses display in anonymity.
I really hope this is just a temporary thing and that they’ll come to their senses soon. It’s unbearable.

I guess after checking in here 16 times, I should have written a review already, right? Here goes! This store is located in the Somerset Shoppes on the NW corner of Glades and Lyons. It stays fairly busy — all the time.
If you know me well enough, you know that I really can’t stand shopping. I will intentionally put it off until the very last minute. I have better things to do, well that’s my excuse anyway! I know, it goes against my gender right? That’s really sexist of you to even think that.
This location is incredibly organized, especially considering this is a discounted store that carries designer brands. Stores like these are normally a wreck. I tend to enter them and run back out the door. This location is awesome though. I’m really impressed by how organized it is on any given day. The only bad thing is that some of the rows of clothing towards the back are kind of small. It’s difficult to squeeze a cart past someone else. If there are two carts — forget about it. Only one person is coming through. It’s a bit inconvenient.
They carry an enormous selection of women’s clothing. They even have my size, which is amazing. It is extremely difficult to find my size at many stores. They also carry ladies intimates and night clothing. If you are in need or workout clothing, they have it. Need workout accessories or a yoga mat? Yep — they have that too!
There is usually a large selection of children’s clothing. I used to just shop at the Sawgrass Mills or the Boca malls for my children, but boys will be boys. Translation — they ruin the majority of their clothes. It’s extremely frustrating. I don’t recall being so destructive with my clothing growing up! I was tired of spending large amounts of money for clothing they were just going to ruin anyway. Lucky for me, they sell the brands I prefer.
They carry shoes, jewelry, beauty products, soaps, and assorted accessories. They have suitcases, dishes, pictures/​picture frames, and decorations for your home. If you’re craving something, check out the various chocolates and snacks. They even have toys and books over by the kid’s section. Some books are also located at the front in the check-​out line.
Waiting in line is painless. They have reusable bags for purchase. It’s better for the environment — skip the plastic bags. If I forget mine, I simply tell them that I do not need a bag. Customer service is always polite and fast. This location is not so bad. If I keep coming back, they must be doing something right.

It covers the basics but there’s no runway selection. What i dont understand about this places is why does as the women’s dept get the runway section, but nothing men’s??? not to mention the women dept is five times larger than the men’s section. I’m in not supposed love clothing? I don’t understand. All in all, it covers the basics… socks, check pants, check swimming trunks, check.

I’m not a big fan of these «shop for less» stores but must admit you do find some cool stuff once in a while.
It’s my first time at this particular chain, and location and it impressed me a bit. First thing I noticed was the designer section, mainly because of the beautiful strapless dress right in front. Immediately I walk towards it and to my surprise it’s a Valentino, to my misfortune, it’s $ 890 but the point is that, even if I could not afford it now, it’s nice to know I have the option to find such a dress when needed at a discount price. Same goes with the D & G dress and Lanvin purse, both beautiful.
Other than that, I like that they carry brands I like from stores like Nordstroms and Macy’s, all in perfect condition.
The store itself is organized in a way you can find your section quick now, the tricky part Is looking through them. People tend to make a mess or leave things wherever and out of place. So, if you’re looking for a specific size look around, you might luck out.

this store rocks my socks! i find so many good deals here on great brand names. they also have a section called the runway in this store with fancy names like D&G and Prada. clean organized high quality merchandise at great prices.
