Excellent service. Fabulous drinks. We opted for only appetizers tonight and they were delicious. We will most definitely be back.

One of the best dining experience! Let’s start off with the greeter by the door, very friendly and pleasant. She escorted me to the table where I met my date who was already there as it was raining and I dropped her off in front while I go park. There was an event at the theater which made parking a hassle but on a good day I don’t think there would be a issue with parking. Our server Tylor(forgive me if I got the name wrong) was very pleasant and friendly, he took the time to go over the wine list, and the specials, also gave us a complimentary sample of the«Prosciutto Di Parma Ciabatta» which was so delicious. My date ordered the grilled calamari and fries, I got the«Pappardelle». The portions was enough to share, we both sample each other’s meal, I’ve never had grilled calamari before so I had to dig in and as expected there was no surprise it was so delicious, I’ll admit the cabbage fooled me and as I thought it was calamari too lol. The Pappardelle was amazing, you can just tell they make their own pasta and it was fresh, well portioned and pleasing to the taste bud, while we were eating the manager Brian took the time to come over and greet us and made sure our meals was to our liking. For drinks I got the Raz Berri frozen liquid Nitrogen drink which was just unbelievable, delicious and just perfectly mixed, it came almost like a slushy and melted as you sip. Over all this was a great dining experience and definitely a nice intimate setting for a romantic date. Would definitely recommend this place and will surely be back in the near future! Thank you to the staff at Tanzy for such exceptional service and a fantastic experience!

Calamari appetizer was pretty good. My wife liked it more than I did. For the main course she had the Branzino. She liked it. I had the New York Strip. My risotto was undercooked. They gave me the potatoes which were pretty much French fries. They were ok. The asparagus was burnt(photo attached in the gallery). The manager had a little attitude I felt when he said its supposed to be like that. They gave me steamed asparagus after, however it want seasoned. The steak was large and tasty, however half was really undercooked to my liking. The highlight of the night was the homemade ginger ale! lol

As I’ve mentioned in a previous review, the bar staff is really great. We have tried additional items on the menu with success although we have never again chosen to dine at the retaurant. The side of sauteed wild mushrooms is WONDERFUL with the kale salad. The kale salad has pine nuts, oranges and lovely citrus vinagrette. You will need 2(or three) for a meal as they are small, but tasty. Upstairs, the movie menu has yummy truffle fries and really delicious goat cheese portabello sliders. The chocolate paradise remains the most spectacular item on the menu. We told the kids that it was a grown up mild shake. They were dazzled watching the cold«smoke» from the nitro. It vanished so fast they were not too put out that it was not for them. The bartender made a great production making it. Great service :-)

My husband and I were vacationing in Boca and decided to check out Mizner Park. We ended up making a reservation at Tanzy. When we came in we were shown to our table. Atmosphere was really really cool! Great design. When our waiter came over, he introduced himself(I think his name was Steven) and took our drink orders. When he returned, I asked him about Vegetarian options. First he said, they didn’t really have anything for«the vegetarian.» My husband asked about one of the specials listed in the insert of our menu and our waiter said… oh yeah, that’s one. He then pointed out the only other one(his words) and it was a 4 cheese pasta of some sort. We asked for a few minutes and when he returned I asked him about the whole wheat spaghetti and he was less than enthusiastic. He told me it was really bland… that’s why he didn’t think to point it out. He was, not exactly, rude, but came across as very condescending and a bit judgmental, like he had a chip on his shoulder. I actually felt like we were bothering him. Not a good feeling. Once our meals came out(my husband ordered the Snapper) and I went with the spaghetti. They were really good. I did not find the spaghetti bland at all. I really liked it. When our waiter checked in with us, I told him I really liked the spaghetti and he should be more enthusiastic about it. He kind of shrugged his shoulders. Bottom line, food was good, but this is one of those situations where the waiter could have really influenced our decision to give it another try. He definitely was a poor representation of Tanzy. If we lived in the area, I would be hesitant to go back and if we did, I certainly would not sit in his section.

This restaurant has a cool vibe, but I ended up not loving it. The kale salad was the only vegan option and it was pretty good, but rather monotonous for your only course. My main complaint would be the staff stopping by every few minutes to ask how everything was — and this was not just our waiter, there were 3 or 4 different people doing this. I know they were well intentioned, but it made it hard to enjoy a night out. To sum up, pretty good food, over-the-top service.

We came into the restaurant around 8PM The hostess with the leopard scarf said that she would seat us within a half an hour One and a half hour past. So I decided to get up and talk to the hostess. she said a party of eight walked in off the street and all of a sudden sat them selves down at the table, (now it’s an hour and 30 minutes that we have been waiting, with two children) I get up and I asked the hostess what the hell is going on with our table? She explained to me that people walked in off the street and sat themselves ‚ I said why didn’t you move them? she said there was nothing I could do, that they walk in off the street and just sat down… I said what do you mean there’s nothing you can do? You’re the hostess ! Your In charge! you should told him to get up and that there are reservations waiting., what the hell kind of establishment allows people to do this? We will not going back to that restaurant nor will we recommend anyone to go to this restaurant! One thing I do want to mention, when we were walking out to leave they were laughing at the hostess station which we found completely inappropriate!!!

So pretty and sexy kind of restaurant. Mood on fleek if you dine here. Tanzy is the best restaurant to set the mood for the date night kind of a place. It’s in Mizner Park, within the iPic Theatre. You can go before or after to the movies. It’s popular among the locals and constantly busy. We were able to get a table on the weekend, when we decided to grab some appetizers and desserts last minute. We barely waited 2 minutes before getting sat. Dessert Review below, oh my: Their food is phenomenal and unique. But I want to really highlight the one of a kind desserts they offer. I was in sweet overload fantasy while eating them. Red velvet bread pudding became my instant friend with a heart of interior goofy goodness. And torta di cioccolato became bestie number 1 to 100 with the mysterious dark chocolate with a twist of salted caramel and we danced in the snow with banana gelato. Ok, maybe I got carried away, but what can I say, their desserts are a must in the enticing restaurant of Tanzy.~

Oh Tanzy… you slay me you fantastic restaurant, you. As a native of New York City I’m not accustomed to top notch customer service. Don’t get me wrong, there are scores of excellent restaurants, but Boca Raton in general just seems to have a culture that aims to please. Briefly, I have an MA in Industrial/Organizational psychology which sounds awfully pretentious, but quite simply us I/O guys study the psychology of the workplace. One critical point of emphasis within I/O is customer relations and among organizations(especially those providing a service) a major key to success lies in creating a customer service driven culture. That is, employees jobs exist purely to serve the customer. Zappos is a great example of a company that nails this. WELL, my hat is off to whoever is training the fine staff at Tanzy because the 5 star, customer service culture resonates throughout. Everyone is friendly, everyone aims to please and it’s simply a wonderful, classy establishment. I once read that the one thing a customer remembers over everything else from his/her dining experience is not the décor, not the food, but the way they were treated. Well, I was treated like a king at Tanzy and thankfully, they have the décor and the food to match that treatment. Shout out to general managers Brian and Jorge. You two are gentlemen and scholars. And a final shout out to Karen, the driver behind Tanzy’s wonderful customer care. Thank you all!

Tanzy is a good place to eat that just happens to be connected to the best movie theater experience on Earth, iPic, and there is a lot to like about their menu, which runs more Italian than new American. The bar is well stocked. So why has my rating dropped? I knock off a star for the interesting problem of a frequent guest: The staff turnover here is far too high. They change waiters, bartenders and even managers faster than a Bank of America and a McDonalds combined. Which is a problem because the bar tender of the day typically forgets that you might be going to a movie upstairs and acts a bit put out when busy and you have to ask for your check. Wait staff will blame the kitchen if the food is moving too slowly and your meal gets put into plastic to take upstairs. I never have this problem at Bogart’s, the restaurant in the Cinemark Theaters, or even the Living Room theaters at FAU, because their kitchens seem to be run with the theater that they’re attached to in mind. It would be nice if you could get some of their offerings upstairs but their lite version at the theater runs its own menu. They still don’t believe the customer is right either. I have no problem with agave, but if you do t like the taste it mucks up their cocktail creations and simple syrup is as anathema to them as a soup on a stick at a county fair. Another star-dropper: Parking, during«season» is always s nightmare. Their valet should take care of the problem, but it’s the center’s valet service and they keep their own schedule. They tell you that they close at 10, so you better get out there and get your car. No drink and maybe dessert after your movie. HEY iPIC: You have valet outside, get your own. You can afford it, and the guys outsize frequently close early and that costs you after show business. Last star down: Disappointed that my sausage and Swiss chard pasta was poorly put together and very light on everything except pasta, the cheapest part of the plate. Looked even worse in my takeaway plastic bowl. Three badly hand-torn chunks of sausage in the bowl are neither artistic nor the level of cuisine that this elegant restaurant deserves. In part, the problem is the design of their system. With a head chef for all of the iPIC theaters you sacrifice originality for McConsistency, and I’m not sure what Sherry Yard knows about Italian but I think she would be embarrassed at what is being served with her name and blessing on it.

Excellent restaurant, that doesn’t get its due probably because it’s in the ipic movie theater, which by the way is the best movie watching experience around. They take farm to table seriously here, great variety of menu items with fresh ingredients, variety of flavors, from fish to beef to pasta. The calamari is the best I’ve tasted, consistently tender, great flavor. The pappardelle is fantastic. The place has indoor/outdoor seating, very upscale atmosphere. Very good cocktails and a good wine list. Always an enjoyable experience.

I’ve been here a few times over the past year and every visit has been pleasant enough. I love the ambiance of the entire restaurant. It has a quiet, intimate feeling – even during happy hour. Service is normally excellent, except during happy hour, but it gets really crowded around then. You really only have room to stand if you are near the bar. If you want to sit at a table, then obviously you will be able to find a spot. The food is consistently good. I’ve had the housemade meatballs, which were tasty – and I’m not a meatball lover. The tuna crudo is pretty good. I’ve had some other items from here, including chicken kabobs(these were good, but a couple of pieces were slightly dry) from a different menu that will debut for a new place that is opening soon, so really, I don’t have any complaints about the food at all. I don’t actually have a favorite, I would recommend trying something different every time you visit. Oh, the drinks have been excellent every time too. I haven’t actually gone up to the iPic theater, even though it has been on my list for a while. Eventually, I will make time to see a movie here and have a meal in the same visit. I always park in the garage, but I believe they have valet. I didn’t see anyone during the lunch hour last time, so maybe it’s only in the evening? You should definitely check them out if you’re in the area. Great food, ambiance, and excellent service.

We returned to Tanzy on my Birthday Eve(Sep 27th). Prior to this visit I have being in close contact with Brian Forman, General Manager of the place about a few improvements they were needing like, temperature control for the cellars holding Collectible Wines, to the type of glasses to serve those… We arrives at the time planed, a party of 6, we were sit at a very nice table with unbelievable Bordeaux Wine Glasses so we had no used for the set we brought… The services was amazing, the atmosphere of the place very classy(probably we were the loudest & less-classy of the entire place…) LOL We drank in the following order: 1 — 2009 Fisher Vineyards Coach Insignia 1 — 2012 Rodney Strong Reserve 1 — 2010 Conn Creek Anthology Food: We had some appetizer that were out of the regular menu, one of them was«Papa Brava» which was basically meatball, was very good but nothing like potatoes as I was expecting. The main course many of us ordered the 10 ounce Filet Mignon which was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and full of flavor, my friend had the Rib Eye steak which was HUGE… he almost couldn’t finished it. For desert I don’t remember, the wine just kicking by them and I recall laughs and lot of joy the rest of the night…

This review is for Happy Hour. It was the second time I’ve gone to Happy Hour at Tanzy. The first time was awhile ago and I didn’t like the Happy Hour food or my drink. When Cat listed a UYE there I thought I’d give it another try. There was a choice of only three discounted food items for $ 8.00 each. There was Brussels sprouts, calamari, and meatballs. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and the calamari. The servings of both were small, hardly enough to share. The Brussels sprouts were fair. Some were slightly burnt. There was nothing that would make me want to order them again. The preparation of the calamari was weird. It was pale sticks of calamari in some kind of sauce. I didn’t like the taste or consistency. At $ 8.00 for the small servings both items were overpriced, even if they had tasted better. Wine and cocktails were $ 5.00, beer was $ 4.00. It would have been a good price, except that my Margarita was small, mostly ice, and I didn’t taste liquor in it. Not much of a bargain after all. I gave this restaurant two stars because it was attractive, and we were allowed to sit at a table instead of only at the bar. There are so many restaurants in Mizner Park that offer really good Happy Hours with half price appetizers and good drinks. I don’t understand why anyone would come here for Happy Hour, unless they’re just coming for the ambience. I’d like to try having dinner here. It’s hard to evaluate a restaurant based only on Happy Hour. If I go I’ll update this review.

I would go here every night of the week just for the free prosciutto crostini appetizer they give you, it’s amazing! I’ve had the mushroom pasta and the sausage and chard pasta both are great. Great ambience for a date. They also have a cool glass covered outdoor-like patio area for groups. There’s valet parking making the night convenient. This restaurant is also located right next to the iPic movie theatre. Expect the restaurant to be packed before and after movie times. I also like staff here. The managers are right there helping the waiters/waitresses. Everyone is polite and well educated on their menu. Recently(Nov 2015) I tried their brunch for the first time. I had the poached eggs with prosciutto and artichokes. I also had the fingerling potatoes with chimichurri sauce and Italian donuts. I didn’t like the donuts I thought they tasted very commercial and the jam that came with it tasted artificial not fresh. The poached eggs and potatoes were good. The artichokes and prosciutto didn’t have much flavor. I prefer their dinner over their brunch. The outdoor patio we sat in was very pretty with an asian like garden, high bamboo and river rocks.

Tanzy is a great place to celebrate a birthday or whatever. The space is quite fabulous. Located in Mizner Park, once you enter the restaurant, it feels like you’ve entered a fairy tale forest… but with house music playing(haha!). Seriously, there is a cocktail lounge area in the front, which is wrapped by tangled tree branches(The Cocoon). Even if you don’t have time for dinner, The Cocoon or the other bar, which is also fairy tale chic, would be a great place to sit & enjoy a drink. Unfortunately, we were seated for dinner at the Parma Bar, which is basically a bar that overlooks the kitchen & is too brightly lit compared to the rest of the restaurant. We were celebrating my hubby’s b-day, so a cozy table in the dining area would have been much better. Now you know! The food we tried was very good. The least interesting was the tuna crudo, just because it had too many other things besides tuna(lots of tomatoes & beans). My hubby ordered the fiocchi with the pear filling & really enjoyed it. I got the yellowtail snapper, which was the winning dish, with it’s delicious creamy wine sauce. It was supposed to be served over a bed of escarole(yum!) but had more white beans(which were a bit underdone & starchy) than anything :( We tried the red velvet bread pudding, their signature dessert. It was delicious, but we wished they had poured more of that delicious sauce on the plate. Overall, this place is cool & I’ll definitely go back when I’m up that way again.

Outstanding. It’s been a while since we have had a treat like this. Though a little pricey. We loved every part of our experience here. Service was on point and food was incredible. Now what we ordered wasn’t a main dish, but it was amazing. My wife and I ordered the meat and cheese samplers. Now they have a sexier name then what I described, but it was enough to feed us both. The cheese and meat was outstanding. They claim its imported from Italy and to tell you the truth I could care less were its from, but if it taste as great as what we were served it could have come from anywhere and I would buy again. The mojitos seem pricey at first but they are strong. Great value. After 2 I was feeling great. We had such a great time, we will be back again soon!

Atmosphere is awesome, probably one of the best around. Our waitress, Hana, was very attentive and did a great job explaining everything. She took our orders for drinks and came back with them very quick. Along with the drinks, she brought a mini prosciutto appetizer that was fantastic. We couldn’t decide on an appetizer… Well, I wanted carpaccio and she wanted meatballs so we got both. :) The carpaccio was very good and meatballs were delicious. The meat sauce was probably the second best sauce I’ve had(number 1 is the girlfriends). For the main course I went with the braised angus beef short rib and the girlfriend went with strozzapreti(spelling). The runner forgot my Parmesan fries and our waitress caught it right away. The manager came by about half way through our meal to make sure everything came out to our liking. That means a lot in my book. Awesome job!!! Overall, very good food and a great staff. We’ll definitely be back to try more of what’s on the menu.

I have been to IPic many times to watch movies(blows away any other movie theater I’ve been to) but never had a chance to Tanzy. My date and I were planning on seeing a movie at 10:45 so we were undecided whether to eat at Tanzy or wait for the movie and order from the menu that’s handed out inside the theatre. After much thinking, we decided to go to Tanzy and promptly made a reservation(which was a good thing as the restaurant was slammed). Upon entering Tanzy we were promptly seated); the first thing that stuck out at me and my date were the trees spread around the restaurant as well as the little hanging crystals, plus the dark mood lighting, which added to the romantic ambiance of the restaurant. We started with a pitcher of the Illegalito mojito; I honestly have to say that was one of the best mojitos I ever had, with the right mix of rum, coconut, passion fruit and pineapple. When we got to the movies, we already had a buzz going. For dinner we decided to order both the Mozza Sampler and the Parma Tasting tastings. We were 2 huge plates chock full of ham and cheese(mozzarella, reggiano, asiago, prosciutto, hot Italian coppa and bresaola). We were pretty full after that. To top off the night, the manager walked by our table while I was posting photos on Unilocal and asked us how our dinner was and whether we had been here before and when we said no she stated that for our patronage, we would get one dessert on the house for us to share(we got the red velvet). I wonder if that was because she saw me on Unilocal… hmmmmm The service was impeccable and the food and drinks were amazing. We will definitely be making the trip back up there.
