As a 3 star restaurant the menu holds its stars extremely well. The ambiance of dim lighting with red and black décor give it a comfortable feel. There are a variety of choices on the menu and an acceptable wine selection. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Having tried nearly everything on their menu I have yet to be disappointed with the flavors of each meal. Though their plating techniques stop them from advancing. I would say the overall experience is an enjoyable one. Wishing you well Max’s Until next time, Chef & Food Critic, Amanda

I ordered the steak with rice and brocolli. Cooked to perfection! What I love is that they are so accommodating when you want to substitute any side. The 3 course includes a free bottle of wine, appetizer and dessert. Enjoy!

God bless the staff that works here. first time visit, if you are in to botox, being pretentious, and think your money entitles you do be rude then this your place, got a good laugh as some Boca diva walked right past a whole line of people to put her name on the list only to be reprimanded by another patron Food was good but not my favorite, I had the pork chop and my wife had the baked chicken, both were cooked perfectly

Stopped here after checking out the art festival — so nice to sit on the patio after baking in the sun! Our waiter was very gracious about four extra people showing up, and the service was great despite it being slammed. I got a Caesar salad with chicken, and it was a great classic Caesar, and had enough chicken on it that it was a full meal. I love when restaurants don’t punish you for trying to be at least a little healthy!

Came back after a long hiatus and will say the food is still consistent and great– Got the burger medium rare with swiss, bacon and a fried egg– it was delicious! Old fashioned cocktail packed a punch as well. Hummus and bread sticks were brought to the table immediately and were a great lil snack. The entire table had different dishes– all equally tasty and satisfying. The place was packed as usual and it def takes forever to be seated, so grab a seat at the bar and people watch until you can get your food.

Had a great family dinner. Seven of us ate dInner and 6 of them were great. 7th was a blue cheese salad with chicken added as an extra. The added grilled chicken was embarrassing. We were offered to have it taken back but I was so hungry I elected to keep eating rather than wait any longer. The chicken clearly came out of a bag, pretty sad. A message could have at least been past to the manager to visit us, inquire about their inabilities to prepare a piece of grilled chicken. All was forgotten and Max’s will only get 3 stars because of how great everyone else’s dinners were.

Max’s Grille needs a update since my favorite dish is no longer served there(island mahi mahi). However this gave me the opportunity to try something new since I resist change when I think I have found the perfect dish in a restaurant. I tried the snapper francaise, which was perfectly cooked with a lemon butter sauce, cherry tomatoes, veggies etc on a bed of orzo pasta. My favorite salad here is chopped salad which has multiple veggies chopped up in a harmonious mixture with light dressing. I have tried their different desserts here but still my heart beats fast for the flourless chocolate brownie cake. Service is effortless with the server always talking about the specials, bringing fresh silverware between courses, refilling waters etc. My sister in law enjoyed her family bday dinner here for sure. This restaurant is a solid establishment in Mizner and they are celebrating their well deserved 25 years of business. Cheers.~

Food was decent overall, saw a coupon on Unilocal for 30% off steak tacos and proceeded to order that. Tacos were decent although when it came time for the check, the manager told me that the coupon expired. However, I explained that I asked the waiter prior to ordering and the waiter said ok. After some back and forth the manager gave me 25% off(strange it wasn’t the full 30%, but tired of fighting); it was clear that the manager wasn’t fully on board with the customer is always right, but applaud them for partially owning up to what was promised. Decent food overall and really busy, bread sticks and hummus were particularly good, could probably munch on those all day.

Terrible food and very expensive. It’s a great location in Mizner Park, but it’s not worth it. At all.

Visiting from New York(like who isn’t) and stopped here a few times for lunch. Huge place. Lots of outdoor seating. Best part is not only are they dog friendly but there’s an awesome dog menu! All food was fresh, delicious and generously sized. Interesting beer selection Deserts and coffee were too pricey tough. Walked down the street for Starbucks Good service.

This is one out our favorite restaurants when we are in Boca Raton. The food is constantly outstanding. last weekend was no exception. However I saw something that surprised me. When Chef Pat left for the night, he took the time to shake hands and thank each and every member of his staff. It dawned on me that the reason for years of exceptional service was due to the team spirit and loyalty this team has for each other. To be successful, one has to understand that they are only as good as the team working along side them. Chef Pat has this down to perfection. I know this because our server said this happens every day. It is the reason the staff has little to no turn over. The food was outstanding, I especially enjoyed the tomato bisque with the requested Killer Ricotta. Thank you for a outstanding experience. We will see you next year. Frank and Carol Scottsdale, AZ

Really great food. 2 dishes for vegans. Chopped salad and a pasta dish. The rest of my party enjoyed steak and seafood. Order before 6 and get a free bottle of wine and desert for every 2 dinners. Includes apps and desert. My parents loved that. Service is good and great atmosphere. It’s season and it wasn’t loud!

This place has great ambiance. The music is great, they may have an artist there playing. If you go, try to sit outside. The boca town center is beautiful and you’ll have a great view where all the action is. The food is ok. It’s not going to knock your socks off but overall I think this place is a great happy hour spot.

I had to meet with my financial advisor and since his office is in the heart of Mizner, he suggested Max’s for lunch. It was a short walk over and with the gorgeous weather the outside tables were full so we were seated inside. We had a large booth to stretch out in and talk business(no I did not hit the PowerBall yet!). We started with crisps and hummus. The hummus was a little bland for my taste but I was starving so I ate it. I opted for a turkey burger and he had a salad. The burger was good and served alongside sweet potato fries($ 14). The service was excellent and it’s definitely a great spot for lunch.

Had dinner here about two weeks ago. Went with the same dishes again: Maple Ginger Salmon and the Chopped Salad. Salad smaller now. Still delicious. Rice under the salmon once again was undercooked. Service excellent.

I’ve been to Max’s Grille quite often. for the drinks and good food. Love their awesome brunch menu as well as bottomless mimosa. For lunch, all their salads are pretty good.(Not a fan of meats) Sometimes the hostess gets busy and seems annoyed. other than that the servers are very nice.

Let me just start off by saying there Hummus is the best hummus I believe I have ever had. I took a pint home and it was gone within a couple days. I even gave some to my mom and she now is addicted to the hummus as well. It’s only $ 5 for a pint and there crackers. Yummy! So to the food. We started off with the stone crabs which only came with three claws and mustard dipping sauce. They were delicious but way over priced for just three. I ordered the snapper francai which had a onion crust and francaise batter, orzo pasta, sundried tomato’s and zucchini with a citrus sauce with cherry tomatoes, diced avocados and crispy shrimp. The fish itself was huge. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. I definitely got my money’s worth and it was so delicious. Every bite I took was a burst of amazingness. The hubby ordered the flat iron steak which came with Parmesan steak fries, arugula and tomatoes with a horseradish cream sauce for the wood-fire wagyn beef. It was so good he ate the whole plate and i just got a piece of the steak which was cooked medium rare and seasoned right. Now the dessert! The crème Brulee pie was out of this world. I’ve never seen a pie quite like it. Its a big pie so don’t think your getting a little slice. It’s a super creamy pie with fruit inside. Taste just like a Brulee you would get in a ramekin. If you love crème Brulee you would like this spin on it.

If you’re from out of town, one of the first thing’s you’ll notice at Max’s is the staggering amount of unbearable Boca snobs in attendance. It was really interesting to observe actually, since I don’t often get to see people in pink shorts bitching about $ 100,000 cars. That aside, Max’s is undoubtedly a very solid spot for lunch or dinner. The food and service were great when we stopped by. We split a Caesar salad and the Hong Kong spicy lettuce wraps and both were extremely good. I was expecting blandness from the wraps, but they did a nice job with the flavors and spice level — especially for a self proclaimed American bistro. Drinks were very well made too, but quite expensive unfortunately. I can definitely see myself stopping in down the road. It’s just a nice casual place to chill out with some friends over a meal and some drinks. Four stars from me.

We hadn’t had a chance to take advantage any of the Summer of Steak opportunities, so since we were hungry in Boca, thought we’d take a look at this one. The offer was for steak tacos, yum! I love steak tacos, so I was really hoping these would be good. The restaurant, in the heart of Mizner, was modern and quiet. Everyone was very friendly and glad to answer our questions about the special. We were seated in a comfortable booth and it was no time at all before the waitress appeared to take our drink orders. Moments after ordering the drinks, the waitress reappeared with a smile and a basket of crispy toasted pita strips and a crock of hummus! That was a twist we weren’t expecting, but we were very happy to see. The strips were nicely seasoned with cheese and black sesame. The hummus needed more flavor, but was still a solid appetizer. In a very short time, our tacos arrived. 3 big, well stuffed flour shells. They were filled with tender, Korean BBQ skirt steak and a delicious pineapple kimchee, it was all topped with a drizzle of red chili aioli. The whole thing totally worked. The steak was tender and juicy and the kimchee(although I would hesitate to label it as such, since there was no spicy heat) was the perfect topping. We took a good look at the rest of the menu and can’t wait for an excuse to go back!
