I went to this place today for lunch, the décor is very soothing and has a relaxing feel. The food on the other side, not good, service was prompt, she brought us water and hot tea. I ordered the Beef Chow Fun from lunch menu and my wife ordered the shrimp tempura, 3 of them and the rest vegetables. Minutes laters my plate comes out and the beef doesn’t look fresh, then it comes out with noodles that are look like Pad Thai noodles which are thin and clearly not chow fun noodles, I mentioned to the waitress she said that it was chow fun. She clearly has never eaten chow fun noodles and instead of offering an apology, she says order something else from the menu, which I did, the boneless spare ribs, they were ok, On top of that she brings one order first and the other one 5⁄7 minutes later. So for this place, for me is one and Done!

I was surprised at all of the poor reviews because I really liked it. The atmosphere was relaxing and I liked the décor. The miso soup was very flavorful. The service was very fast. The food was great tonight. The only reason it was only 4 stars was because they brought out dinners out at different times. Otherwise, it was great!

This wouldn’t even have reach a 1 star if it was an option. First off, we were a table of 13 people. First opinion, ppl were nice, greeted us with respect. Then we sat down. We ordered appetizers. Some ppl ordered soup to start. I ordered the edemame and it was edemame. Can’t really mess that up I ordered chicken teriyaki habachi which come with soup or salad and rice. My husband ordered beef pad Thai. Our friend ordered Mahi Mahi teriyaki and she ordered walnut chicken. The chicken was very chewy. The teriyaki sauce so plain. No flavor at all. It came with noodles and 1 potatoe piece, 1 broccoli, 1 carrot piece. I wasn’t given my rice or the soup or salad. I had to ask for both of them which when I ordered I ordered for brown rice. The pad Thai wasn’t bad. It was slightly spicy(which I like) the beef was frozen not fresh but flavor was there for this. The walnut chicken the chicken was frozen and chewy. Literally the dish was served within 4 minutes after ordering which tells us that it def wasn’t fresh. Paying over 12 – 16 a dish I would expect at least a fresh dish. The Mahi was so plain and texture was poor. NO flavor at all. Mahi is usually very good. I tried it and it was overall very bland. Over all the service was poor. I shouldn’t have to ask for what is included in my meal. It also happened to that Mahi dish we had to ask for the rice, what common!

This place has some bravado. Wow!!! We came here for our Passover dinner because my mom was exhausted so she couldn’t cook Passover dinner. So we came with 13 people. Let me tell you our experience. We sat down. No issues. Our waitress took our drink orders of all waters and 2 wines. She waited on our appetizer orders. After the appetizers were ordered I went to use the bathroom. Here is where the horror started. I SAWONEOFTHEIRCHEFSUSETHEBATHROOMANDNOTWASHHISHANDS. I REPEATNOTWASHHISHANDS. Some of you say well he probably washed it in the kitchen. Nope! I followed him into the kitchen to where he was already cooking. GROSS. Then I talk to the manager about it. He says he will take care of it. That was the last time I saw the guy. No thanks after. No, I talk to the chef. No that I was wrong. Nothing. Then we ordered our food. I swear to you. Not even 4 minutes later our beef pad Thai food and chicken teriyaki was already being brought out with 11 other people’s food. I’d say that’s record speed to cook chicken. So bravo for that fresh chicken they brought out. The chicken tasted frozen, bland and chewy. Then the beef was also bland. But what was upsetting is my aunts dish of walnut chicken, and the walnuts were the hero. That was so sad. The meal at the end was 284 dollars before tip. Now if I was the manager and he had a person tell me I had a chef not wash their hands I would make sure that person and his table was very happy. Our service was atrocious. Our waitress forgot our rice, our soups and then began to tell us how she gave our food to some one else. I can see why this place is 3 stars and hopefully going down soon. It’s a shame when you can’t show quality with the food prices you are charging. These prices are more expensive then Los Angeles. I will never be bask and neither will the 12 others with me.

The absolute worst food and even WORSE customer service! They screwed up the delivery order and then called me a liar when I called to say we were missing items and that we didn’t get 2 orders the way we had asked for them. Then they charged me for 2 identical dishes when I only ordered one. She says she is sure that I asked for 2. They have no idea what customer service is! The food was tasteless and not made the way traditional Chinese is usually prepared. What was most disappointing is that they had no care at all about retaining their customers. I would NEVER order from them again if it was the last restaurant left in town.

I have received false news that this place had unwanted visitors. Due to false accusations, the accusations were completely not true. The hibachi artist that does the Angel is the best. Onions with a trifecta of fire. Yes. If you dont know now you know. Along with the three egg snowman, as apart of the fried rice. I separately rate their award winning sauce a 5 out of 5 and anyone can agree. Choose this comment as ‘useful’ if you like Yum-Yum Sauce. ;)

Wow! Didn’t have to wait long to be seated! A pleasure. We normally have to wait a while — especially during the winter season. Food was good, chef was entertaining and service was okay. I like to come here once or twice a year.

Took a large group of people there for my son’s 13th birthday party. 1. The food was very very salty 2. The wait staff is very slow, and this was only the drinks 3. The chef was running late(i guess because it was a saturday night). Will not go back

I’ve been here many, many times and I really don’t know exactly why. It’s nearby to where my family lives and used to be good but I’ve decided I probably won’t be back. It’s half hibachi and half booths. The hibachi is fine. Service everywhere is slow. The hibachi is nothing special. The chicken is dry but the filet is pretty good. The sauce is overly spicy but usually the vegetables are well done. It’s nice that you can order hibachi at the booths and for the lunch special too. However, for example, the hibachi filet lunch special includes exactly 5 pieces of small cubes of meat. It’s kind of a joke. The sushi is fine too but nothing special. They put too much rice in the sushi but the fish is fine. I found a shrimp tail in my spicy tuna roll today. Also a bug in the California roll. The miso and egg drop soups are fine but taste like they come from a box. The hot and sour soup is better quality. Also the chicken pad Thai is lacking flavor but the chicken is high quality. This restaurant has redeeming qualities but after many visits here, there has to be better sushi and hibachi places in the area. I’ll be trying out those in the future.

Dirty, dirty, dirty… Served me a bug and the owner laughed. He said it wasn’t his fault and walked away. They always get it wrong. My wife has celiac. she asked if the meal she ordered was gluten free and know one could give her an answer. When we asked what the ingredients were they shrugged and said sauce. I wouldn’t order a glass of water. Run as far away as possible!!! Try the Greek place in the same mall.

Visited with a party of 12 for hibachi dinner last night, had an 8pm reservation. We were seated around 8:15pm. Server was extremely slow with EVERYTHING — drink order, food order, bringing drinks, etc. And the chef didn’t come out to our table until 9:10pm — are you kidding me??? Other parties arrived, ate, and left before our chef even started cooking… And hibachi restaurants are designed for large parties so the fact that we had a lot of people had nothing to do with it. At least half of the people in my party had to ask for something from the server 2 – 3 times, whether it was a pair of chopsticks, another drink, etc. I had to ask for a beer twice, and she put two of them on my bill even though I only ordered one. The restaurant was extremely hot and poorly ventilated, and all of the fixtures and furniture were sticky and dirty. It’s common sense that these would be issues in a hibachi restaurant and this place clearly made no effort to solve them. After the meal was over, I called the manager over and told him how HORRENDOUS the service was, while our server was listening from right behind him(awkward!). He offered a weak apology but clearly didn’t care. When I turned to the server and told her how slow and unacceptable the service was, she made the excuse that she was busy breaking up all of our checks toward the end of the meal — clearly not understanding that I was talking about the entire dinner. Both the manager and the server were Asian and spoke poor English, and it seemed that the server didn’t understand it very well either. The server comped a single soft-drink off my bill. Based on our complaints and the extremely poor service, I would’ve expected a discount off the entire party’s tab. Regardless, I’ll never return to Tempura House.

My favorite Chinese place, although they also have great hibachi and sushi! I prefer takeout because the service can be iffy.

Overall this is not a glossy place. The sushi is good but not inspired. sometimes you get a chef on the hibachi side who knows cook along with the sideshow, but more often its a little overlooked. It’s a nice place in terms of ambience. The bar is strictly 101 stock, tinker toy. Service is so so to good

I’ve had many average sushi dinners here in the past so wasn’t eager to rush back, but when my parents suggested their Hibachi thought that may be fun for the kids. It’s impossible to get into most restaurants during the holidays in Boca… even the mediocre restaurants. I called Tempura House and they told me if I arrived within the next few minutes(it was 5:30pm) we would be good to go. We threw the kids in the car(easier when you don’t have to worry about coats in Florida!) and arrived within minutes. There were lots of hibachi tables to choose from, but all were taken just 10 minutes later. Our waitress was fabulous, especially with the kids. Within minutes my daughter was a fan and sharing our entire life story with her. Thanks to my 4 year old there’s no secrets in our house. And then it was show time. We ordered the kids chicken hibachi for the little ones(they definitely didn’t end up needing their own and could have split one). I ordered shrimp and others at the table ordered steak. The chef wow’d us with his knife and fire skills. My daughter was a bit scared of all the fire, but my son couldn’t get enough of the«show.» As usual with hibachi it was so much food. In my case a lot of shrimp, rice and veggies. My carb loving children were all about the rice, but barely touched the chicken. I love everything about hibachi besides the way you smell after it. This was no exception… everything(my clothes, hair, children, etc) reeked of smoke after the meal and until everything(including us) was washed.

One of the better restaurants in the Reserve Shopping Center in Boca Raton. It has been here since the shopping center opened, and holds up to par among with the best because of the good food, and immersive atmosphere. First off, let me just say that lunch here is really their best deal, especially for hibachi. I am not a fan of eating with other random people at a hibachi table, and almost nobody comes in for lunch, so you’ll probably have the place to yourself. Their lunch menu prices for hibachi are also fair, and you get a good portion with your meal. Usually I get hibachi steak, and you get to choose a soup or salad. Both are excellent, and you get a good lunch size portion. For an extra couple of dollars you can upgrade your rice to fried rice, which is absolutely worth it because their fried rice is fantastic. The hibachi chefs that come to the table are very nice and entertaining. Usually they know at lunch that I don’t want a show, so they just cook the food, which I appreciate very much. Even though I pretty much stick to the hibachi area, they have a huge menu of other Asian foods, mainly Chinese and Japanese/Sushi. Dinner here can get crowded, and parking can also be rough, so make sure to call in advance for dinner. Again though, dinner prices can get pretty steep, which is in line with most food in the area, but that doesn’t make the price any more reasonable. At lunch the service is pretty good, but again, that might be because no one is in the restaurant. Because it gets much busier in the evenings, the service tends to trend a bit downward, but still acceptable. The atmosphere here is excellent, and very detailed. From the coy pond when you walk in, to the private rooms in the back near the bar, I feel like this restaurant transports me to Asia when I come here. And I love coming here, always an enjoyable experience and leaves me always wanting to come back for more. If you are looking for any type of Asian experience in a restaurant, Tempura House is a must. Food(B+), Pricing(D), Atmosphere(A-), Service(B-)
