When I ordered on Monday 6÷13÷16 I asked for the honey garlic chicken dinner combo with egg drop soup and an egg roll and I asked for an extra egg roll. The woman on the phone said«Thats an extra dollar charge». I said thats fine. When the order comes theres no egg drop soup. So the driver calls the woman and shes like«no you say you want 2 egg roll». I replied«Yes and you said you were going to charge me an extra dollar for it». She then says«Oh, I make mistake bye». So I said to the driver«I dont know what that meant if im getting it ir not». Hes like I’ll go ask her and see. You weren’t charged an extra dollar so I don’t know, I’ve never seen this before”. So he never came back and I will never order from them again!

Have to admit incredibly good Chinese take-away with fast service and very large menu. The problem is they’re probably twice as expensive as the next take-away. Hard to justify these prices as their overhead is not the same as a full service restaurant.

Awful — $ 30 for two combo dinners in take out trays… food was bland, greasy and only four shrimp. Spring roll was soft, old and greasy… not even worth a picture. Flies everywhere… ewwww!!!Wish I could get my hard earned money back on this dump.

This is the best Chinese takeout I have ever tried, PERIOD! Their food quality rivals Uncle Tai’s, which is the best Chinese restaurant between here and Miami(and probably in Miami too). Their sushi is also very, very good. I regularly eat their unagi-don and have had many of their hand rolls. Both are great. We have never gotten Chinese take out from another place after these people opened. I think their exceptional food quality put Red Lantern out of business.

I really wanted this place to be good as we just moved here and I was hoping it would prove to be a go-to for takeout. It was not good at all. It makes Panda Express look 5 star. The only positives were that they offered brown rice and for those who can’t make up their minds on whether to go with egg drop or wonton soup, they offer a combo choice. I had chicken and eggplant, which was supposed to be spicy. Not only was it COMPLETELY devoid of any spice/heat but it also lacked any real flavor. Utterly bland. Had I dined there vs takeout, I would have sent the dish back. Will not be returning. My hunt for Chinese takeout continues.

The food here is not very good. We live right down the street and have tried it three times. I’m just not going back anymore even if I’m desperate for Chinese. Tasteless and overpriced. I wish there was a better Chinese restaurant. Also the sushi at publix is way better which isn’t saying much.

So my boyfriend and I just needed to add a few things to our already home cooked main dish that I was making, which happened to be shrimp lo mein. I really had a craving for a spring roll and some other appetizers so we called a friend that lives near us to find out where he goes for Chinese takeout and he mentioned Gary Woo as well as Shanghai Chinese, which we’re smack dab in the middle of off of 441 in Delray. While I trust my boyfriend’s friend suggestions, I wanted to see what Unilocalers had to say! Looked up of each restaurant individually and read all the reviews: didn’t really get too great of a feeling from Shanghai, also couldn’t pull their menu from Unilocal for some reason, ended up getting it off of the internet. Their Menu seems pretty good and reasonable prices, however Gary Woos Express had the better reviews and their menu is also good prices but were just a little bit higher. Decided on an egg roll, a spring roll, chicken lettuce wraps and pork fried rice — figuring those were some basic items and for a to-go order, would really tell us whether this restaurant would ever have a chance at a second visit for us in the future. The girl who answered was very pleasant, didn’t need any repetition from me, she was very clear she repeated back what I ordered and told me about 15 minutes and my boyfriend headed out the door. He got there and everything was all put together — I told him to check everything and he said everything looks good he brought it home and everything was packaged nicely portions were great and more importantly taste was fresh not greasy. We were very impressed with the pork fried rice and having had chicken lettuce wraps before, I also really liked the flavor and thought it was very fresh. Boyfriend loved his eggroll, which looked really good stuffed full of nice little shrimp and vegetables, not just a bunch of cabbage. My spring roll was delicious. I had forgotten I had wanted to order soup but will definitely order next time. I still do want to try Shanghai for my own edification and of course I will report that here on Unilocal at a later date. Overall my pickup order experience at Gary Woo Express was a definite A+ and I would highly recommend!

Great NY style Chinese food. Take out, but there is a small area to eat in. Food is good and service is quick. Love it

This is a terrible business and if I could give zero stars I would. A few months ago I ordered a meal for pickup. When I arrived I was told the order was sent out for delivery. I was told to go home and get the order from the driver. I told the person behind the counter I was not going home but taking the dinner to another location. I asked for the order to be remade but was refused. At that point I asked and received a refund. I tried to order tonight and apparently my phone number was flagged. I was told that because of what happened last time they refused to do business with me. While discussing this the person I spoke with admitted it was their mistake. I suppose having to refund my money and losing whatever meager profit they might have made from my $ 45 order has them getting the last word. Avoid this restaurant.

Awful!!! We ordered for two people! Bill was over $ 100! Scallion pancakes– greasy, doughy, bland Spring rolls– greasy, tasteless Mixed soup– thick, yellow, bland Chicken chow fun– loaded with thick onions and rubbery chicken Chicken and string beans– string beans were good, rubbery, chewy, chicken Orange chicken– thick coating, the chicken was ok Didn’t try the vegetables since everything else was basically inedible! Would never order from there again! Nor should you!

Mediocre Chinese and way overpriced for the quality and take out style of this 1000 square foot facility. If you want quality pay the price and order from Uncle Tai’s which is a thousand times better in quality and taste. Food lacked flavor, broccoli was dis colored and a spoiled smell emanated from one of the dishes. Furthermore some of the chicken was chewy. Not for me.

Living in West Boca for 15 years we tried Gary Woos about a year ago we were about to just give up on good Chinese as I had tried many local places. The people here are so friendly either in person or calling in an order. We have tried many different dishes and are always happy with the quality and quantity. When we chose to have delivery they are super quick and the drivers are very nice.

Great food and very accommodating. I got the boat for 3 for a party and they were able to personalize it to be exactly what i wanted. It was for a party. Sad to say there were only 2 pieces left over for me for today. Everything was fresh and delicious. There was a nice variety of sushi and rolls. They delivered exactly when i asked them to. The tray was beautiful — all i had to do was put it on the table.

In spite of of the many whiners here, Garry Munoz make some very good condition. Not all are wonderful, and are as described below, but things like their shrimp balls, and certain of their specialties are perfectly prepared. Their prices are excessive, but in the vast wasteland of Chinese restaurants which are few and far between in this part of Boca Raton, they have a relatively captive audience. They offer some interesting specials, but their sushi is very very run-of-the-mill. I tend overall to like the restaurant over on jog Road near Atlantic a bit better, but the shrimp balls and their child fundamentals are hard-to-find and well-made enough that it’s worth going back here for them once in a while.

3.75 I’ve never been the the Woo’s in east Boca because frankly I heard Gary is a real dick. The place looks creepy from the outside too. Plus the prices are high and I heard from several people the service sometimes blows, and not in a good way. And WTF is up with this pudgy Woody Allen looking mofo calling himself Gary Woo anyways? That’s some blasphemous sh*t right there. I haven’t been duped into thinking somebody was Asian like that since I found out the Wu-Tang Clan was full of brothas from Staten Island. The take-out joint in West Boca is pretty good though. Service is usually on-point with a smile. Prices are higher than your average neighborhood Chinese restaurant but I think the food justifies it. General Tso is my fav and the egg rolls are money.
