This restaurant chain seems the project of someone who went to hotel-restaurant school. It’s an innovative menu with healthy, or healthy-seeming food. Pei Wei is not Japanese, Korean, or Chinese, any more than Haagen-Dass is Norwegian.(If it were Chinese or Korean they wouldn’t be offering Japanese beer. My hunch is that it was something a name consultant came up with. That it’s close to the English words«pay way» is no coincidence, I suspect. This would seem to be a great restaurant. You can place a takeout order online, with delivery time chosen from a menu. But something goes wrong every time. The staff did not find my takeout order and I thought it was being cooked and sat 30 minutes while it was sitting on a counter the whole time. Gift card didn’t work, cashier had to find the manager on duty, who took care of it. Lettuce wraps sounded like a great idea, but the takeout order had two pieces of lettuce on top of the filling, for me to roll them myself. Lettuce doesn’t hold the contents very well.

This Pei Wei is located on the southeast corner of Glades and 441. There is plenty of parking. It’s clean and they have lots of space to sit inside, but it fills up quickly at lunchtime. Getting here before the lunch rush is ideal. You can also order your food ahead of time for takeout. I’m really not certain why everyone is complaining. It’s a fast food, Asian-inspired chain. If you come in expecting a Michelin-type restaurant, go elsewhere. I’ve been here several times and haven’t had any issues with the service. It’s relatively quick. it’s a non-issue with the guys not wearing gloves while running the grill – at least for me. I can’t say I’ve ever gotten sick from eating here. The food is consistently good(for fast food) and my boys like seeing the occasional flames shoot up from the grill area. In my opinion, it’s relatively cheap. The employees are friendly, professional, and work really hard. If you watch them, you can see that they’re busy and not just sitting around twirling their thumbs. The only negative thing I can think of is the oven hasn’t been functional for about a month and a half now. The boys enjoy the cookies, but no oven=no cookies. Check them out if you’re in the area!

Excellent service, food and location. Had excellent service from Chris who was very accommodating when I needed to change things with an online order. Comfortable, bright setting and the food is consistent with other Pei Wei Fresh Kitchens.

The protein portions here are getting smaller and smaller. I have talked with friends that go here and we all seem to be in agreement. We said something to the staff, which replied they are all the same as they get weighed. So perhaps they changed the weight? After my last experience here, I ended up eating at another Pei Wei location in West Palm 2 days after. I should have taken a picture of the portion here, and the one in West Palm. There portions were way bigger and much more like the ones I’m using to seeing chain wise.

Chicken fried rice, undercooked chicken, beware. This site not as good or professional as the one east on palmetto.

Tried this location again hoping the newly opened restaurant kinks were worked out. They were not. My sweet and sour chicken came out PINK. See photo attached. The food took a really long time to come out so I told the manager to be careful with how long the chicken is being cooked in order to ensure it is fully cooked but I didn’t have them replace my order.

Like other reviewers I question why the cooks don’t cover their hair or wear gloves. My last visit to this location was actually way better than previous visits. Typically the food is over cooked and too salty but today the Mongolian beef and kids steak lo mien tasted great. The portion sizes are a little small for the cost.

We ordered: Pad Thai — way too vinegary! Upset my stomach Peanut sauce — too much coconut milk Spring roll — veggies were way too stringy, difficult to eat neatly Vietnamese roll– fine but not as pictured Fried rice — ok May come back Won’t order pad Thai ever again

Food was decent when first opened then went down hill very fast. Went one last time and my family ordered two Mongolian beefs which came out so burnt that it couldn’t be eaten. We gave them back and they came out the same way and at that point we just had to get our money back. Besides which most if not all employees in the cooking area do not follow proper health code requirements in that they didn’t cover their hair or use gloves.

An hour after lunch and I feel like I’ve swallowed a salt shaker. Nice staff, sticky tables. The chicken was tender but I think I will go elsewhere from now. I prefer flavor to salt.

Ugh. Super bland, cheap Chinese food. You can tell the staff wasn’t fully trained, food takes a very long time and by the time we got our food, we were very disappointed by the taste that we could barely finish it. We didn’t even take it home. The best part about it were the fortune cookies and the coke machine. That’s it.

Overpriced and the rice and vegetables undercooked. I’m very disappointed in the food. The rice at the publix deli is far better. This is the second time I’ve eaten here. I thought I owed them a second chance. I ordered steak with fried rice. Hardly any meat at all. The rice was hard. I can’t believe this place is popular. I will never eat here again.

P.F. Chang’s lite. Came here for takeout Grand Opening week, and the place was full of customers. Since this location is brand new, it has a really nice, and clean atmosphere, both outside and inside. Outside is very green with plenty of foliage, and parking; while inside is shiny new. Despite the amount of people in the restaurant, service went pretty fast. The workers were very friendly, but a bit aloof to some of the questions we had about the menu, but I’ll chalk that up to these people being new hires. By far my favorite dish their is the Mongolian Steak and Shrimp. A bit expensive for both items and the portion size isn’t the largest, but the flavor is there. Anything you get here will be quality food, just a but smaller portions then if you went to a normal sit down restaurant. Portion size is not that big, and they fill up most of the space of their dishes with rice to make the dish appear bigger then it actually is. Pei Wei is a really good fast-casual restaurant as compared to it’s big brother restaurant P.F. Chang’s. This location is new, nice, and a nice addition to the West Boca area.
