I had a VHS converted to DVD as a Christmas present for my mom. It was sent in a little more than two weeks before Christmas, which was plenty of time to complete the process, but I even paid extra for rush processing just to be on the safe side.(I don’t usually wait that long to get presents together but I tried to use Walmart’s conversion program a month prior and they screwed up my order and held onto my tape for several weeks before calling to tell me they didn’t know how to use their new conversion system). The 5-day processing period came and went so I contacted the company and was told they had a lot of rush orders to complete in addition to mine, so it was not ready yet. The fact that they were behind in orders should be their problem, not mine. If you can’t accommodate a rush order, don’t offer it! I finally received my order right before Christmas and it was very crappy work. The beginning was a lot of blue screen and it frequently went back to blue screen during the process. They obviously put the VHS in, start up the converter and just walk away. For the amount I had to pay to overnight my mom’s gift(I had other stuff to mail to her in addition to the DVD, otherwise I would’ve sent it directly to her) I should’ve just bought a VHS/DVD converter and completed the process myself. Lesson learned.
