Wendy’s had a very good idea. They gave away a frosty, which is their version of an extremely thick milkshake. I got one and it was very tasty and cold. The only problem with it was that it was impossible to drink with a straw. So, I used a spoon and ate it like ice cream – very, very good! I enjoyed it very much. It was a terrific idea which will bring customers in to try their other menu items. Wendy’s isn’t one of my favorite fast-food restaurants but this was a great idea to attract new people.

Service here as that past commenter posted«needs an attitude adjustment». I went through the drive thru on Wednesday 4÷20÷16 after a long day on the road with a 2 year old and one year old and this Wendy’s is right across the street from our new place and we were starving. When I pulled up the girl didn’t greet us on the intercom and after about 30 seconds of waiting she said«I’ll be with you in a minute» but in a very monotone level. I ordered(3) 4 for $ 4 meals and told her I wanted Dr. Pepper with all 3 orders. She asked what kind of sauce I wanted with the nuggets and I asked her what they had and she said bbq, ranch and something else that I couldn’t make out because she was tailing off a bit. My wife wanted honey mustard but I wasn’t about to ask sadness from Inside Out if they had that because I seriously felt that one more question from me could have resulted in this girl offing herself. She took my order and didn’t give me a total or «see you at the next window» so I just proceeded to pay. When I got to the window I saw a young African American woman that wanted anything but to deal with us. It became laughable because we were friendly and never came across as a problem. She turned and looked at me and said«you want 3 Dr. Peppers»? But in a very condescending or snobby way. She gave us our drinks which had more Dr. Pepper on the outside of the cups then inside. Most places will at least wipe them down but she had no interest in hooking us up with clean cups. Then she held her hand out and I assumed this meant payment time. I paid her and she handed me my card back with her back to me which was very rude. We got our food and the only thing I could think about was«there has to be spit in my food». I told her to cheer up but I doubt that had any impact on the most unprofessional drive thru window employee I have ever come across. Fast food workers want $ 15 an hour and when you come across people like this you think to yourself«no freaking way». I will only go back if this girl is working somewhere else making someone else’s life miserable.

It was after 10 pm and most of the places we wanted to go to for a sandwich were closed. My cousin was hungry and he likes Wendy’s so off we went to get carry out. Nobody was ahead of us in the drive through. We placed our order for hamburgers,. drove up to the window, and got our food. Friendly service, no waiting, reasonable prices, so what’s the problem? My hamburger just wasn’t good. It didn’t have any flavor and the meat was mealy. I took a few bites and gave up. Come to think of it the hamburgers couldn’t have been freshly made and ready as quickly as we got them. It only took a minute for us to place our order and by the time we drove a few feet to the window they were already in a bag waiting for us. Next time, when it’s late, and I’m hungry, I’ll go somewhere else.

I have used their drive through on a couple of occasions, most recently this afternoon. I don’t know why I keep going back. This is one of the the worst Wendys I have ever been to. The food is stale and old. The service is almost always sketchy. Maybe thats why they have such turnover. Even the managers are different almost every time I go. There are much better food options nearby.
