Taking the scenic route on our way back from a little weekend getaway, we stumbled upon Sonoma Coast Vineyards driving through Bodega Bay. The tasting room is bright and beautiful. Our tasting room host was knowledgable and the wines were lovely. I was surprised that out of all the wines we tasted, my favorite was the 2010 Chardonnay, Botrytis, Mendocino Ridge, given I’m not really drawn to dessert wines. If you’re driving through or to the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping for a tasting.

Enjoyed an amazing afternoon at Sonoma Coast Vineyards tasting room in the beautiful bodega bay yesterday! I decided to bring some visiting relatives from AZ out to enjoy some of the incredible pinots SCV has to offer. We went on a refreshing hike at bodega head & headed off to SCV for a post-hike reward. Of course they fell in love with all of them being as Arizona lacks in the delicious coastal pinots department. The tasting room manager, Kasie was nothing short of amazing with her knowledge & customer service. Super welcoming & friendly as soon as we walked through the door, not to mention very informative as she guided us through our tasting flight. Needless to say, my visiting relatives wanted to take some SCV wines home & Kasie went through the very reasonable shipping costs as well as how a wine club membership would work greatly in their favor. After finishing our flight, Kasie poured us one more glass of their current release 2013 Antonio Mountain Pinot(which just almost beats their Salmon Creek Pinot for me) and directed us out to their gorgeous patio to watch the sunset over the bay. The water was smooth as glass & so was that last taste of Pinot we enjoyed. Perfect experience all around. If your looking to enjoy some good wines, great views & hospitable professionalism, look no further than Sonoma Coast Vineyards Tasting room in Bodega Bay & their awesome staff!

Meh… the wine was ok, but not for the price they were asking for. It took us forever to get service. The sommelier just looked at us for a long time and kept talking to other patrons. When he did finally talk to us, he was very aloof and unhelpful. Other patrons were getting served right away but my wife and I had to wait forever just to get any attention. Maybe it was because we didn’t look rich enough or something. Not coming back. Two stars only because at least it was clean and had a nice view.

My boyfriend and I stopped by during a river trip. Casey was amazing and very knowledgeable. The dessert wine was so good we took a bottle home.

My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Wednesday and enjoyed a wonderful tasting with Kasie. The tasting room is beautiful, comfortable and has a great ocean view. The wines were all amazing(mostly pinots, which I appreciate). I will definitely be back!

Gorgeous, brand new tasting room in Bodega Bay. My husband and I did a tasting here after visiting Doran Park and Bodega Head. Out of all our tasting experiences so far, the SCV wine selection was actually my favorite. We did a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and a few Pinot Noirs. All were really light and delicious. The sommelier was very friendly and not pushy. We didn’t leave with any wine, but I did have to get two of their humongous wine glasses!

What a delight to happen upon this lovely tasting room in the heart of Bodega Bay. They are brand new and their enthusiasm is contagious. Kasie was charming and knowledgable and the wines are all fantastic. A definite must stop if you are anywhere in the area and worth a day trip from San Francisco for sure!
