Freshest donuts I have ever had! Sinultaneously chewy and rich and well frosted with fudgy chocolate icing. I arrived as they were closing up, but the young girl working the counter was still kind and welcoming. And the donuts were still as fresh at closing as if they had just recently been made! I was bummed that they were out of kolaches when I got there, but obviously the locals are already hip to how great this dough palace is. Looking forward to stopping in again for a treat on my next trip towards West TX.

We showed up right after they closed, saw the time, and started to pull out — but the woman at the counter poked out and ushered us in. Holy crap, are we ever glad she did! Fantastic donuts, some of the best in our lives. She got a classic chocolate frosted that was fresh and fluffy. I got a maple bar filled with cream. And boy was it filled! None of that nonsense were the first couple bites are just dough — perfectly balanced Bavarian cream oozing with each bite. Sometimes with a donut like that, it can get soggy(especially at closing time) — but this one was still flaky and fantastic on top. You could see and peel apart each little layer of the pastry. And it was… Just… Well. It’s a great place. We will be back :)

The only product I have tried is the large jalapeño «sausage» kolache and it will be the last unfortunately. The breading was fine nothing special or bad, but the lack of cheese quantity and quality paired with the hotdog’s lackluster flavor and texture left a deceitful taste in my mouth. I’m not sure how a hotdog is the same as sausage. In the end I ripped the dog free of its bread cage and tossed it out and enjoyed the bread. The jalapeño was MIA in flavor and appeared in tattered sparse segments of small green shreds and a small withered discolored piece to top it off.

I agree with most of the reviews here, the donuts and kolaches are good my kids love them but I have had enough… The location on main street is filthy!!! The floor and tables are always nasty, there is dirt hanging from the ceiling(which means it is falling in the food), most of the ceiling tiles look like they are about to cave. Here is what is really bothering me, they have a 2nd location now that is very nice and both are always packed with a line outside the door, I go to the one on main street because it is close to my house. What I don’t understand is why the owner does not clean up or fix up the location on main street it is plain nasty and I know they are making money so I don’t know why they won’t fix it…

Super nice staff, and we had a mixed dozen donuts, the wife had a country boy, a garlic sausage, wrapped in a, pastry I had a ham kolache, it was super packed on a Saturday, and the staff was super buisy, we had multiple people in front of us that had large orders and the staff filled them promptly And the the jackass’s then didn’t tip the staff, WTF3 orders of $ 30 to $ 40 and not one dime to the people who where busting it to keep the Line moving

We moved out to Boerne back in August and I thought we would be driving back to San Antonio for those special Saturday morning donut days. Then, I found Snowflake Donuts… these are the freshest and most delicious donuts I’ve found anywhere around San Antonio… tucked away on Main Street in Boerne. I’ve been here probably 8 or so times already and the staff is always friendly and it’s a great little«hole in the wall» donut shop. Their kolaches are always on my daughter’s «get em Dad» list. Highly recommended if you are coming out to Boerne to enjoy the town!

They got our order wrong again! Are they under new management? We don’t recognize anyone anymore. Again we ordered bacon, egg and cheese croissants and they gave us croissants with no egg! Of course, they had no problem charging us for sandwiches that were supposed to contain eggs! The donut holes were ok, but not as good as they used to be. I think we are done with this place for good!

Stopped in to grab dozen donuts and 3 dozen holes. Not sure how it happened but the girl worked my bill up to about $ 14, around three bucks higher than usual. The increase in price might have been easier to accept if the donut holes had been edible. When I got back to work and opened the box the holes were all smashed together. It looked like they were put in the box with a slingshot. I rate this trip far below my previous experiences at snowflake.

Stopped through Boerne on a recent mini road trip and unanimously decided we were starving. Had all intentions to go into the main part of downtown for some breakfast. Fortunately we had the windows rolled down and immersed with the delicious aroma Snowflake was creating! It was alluring enough to make a turnaround! This place is a Kolache paradise. Croissant kolaches, cheese kolaches, jalapeño kolaches, mini kolaches, crescent jalapeño cheese kolaches. So many delicious choices and many more I’m forgetting. This place was overflowing when we arrived! The parking lot was filled. Seriously people were parking people in. I was sure chaos was to follow but nope. Snowflake has the whole madness thing under control. You order pay and out in 2 minutes. It was amazing! Everything to order is in full view and ready to eat warm. We ordered 3 regular assorted kolaches, 2 mini kolaches and a dozen of donut wholes all for a little more than 10 $. Everything was fresh, yummy and filling!

Super nice staff, kolaches and pigs in blanket are yummy. The plan glazed doughnuts are also very good. I think to solve the parking problem, they need to get a drive through may help with the parking issue ;-)

Yummy! Love the sausage and cheese kolaches, and the apple fritters, and the light and fluffy croissants. Little tricky to get in and out of tho when they are busy. .. new location & drive-thru would be awesome!

Love Snowflake kolaches! The homemade pastry dough is heavenly– soft and fluffy. The donuts are good, too, but we always go for the kolaches and are never disappointed!!!
