Not thrilled with Cookys. I always get the captain Jack sandwich minus Turkey. It’s often been pretty good. I am trying to eat better so decided to start getting the Panini combo. It’s ½ a panini and a tossed salad. Someone tells me that I can’t have the panini combo minus the Turkey. Why? Well because when we make the combos we only make them fresh if we don’t have them already made from the morning. They make paninis in the morning, cut them In half and use them for the combos so that’s why sometimes they are cold and stale. Sometimes they are the way they SHOULD be because they have none left and are made fresh. Today I spoke to someone else who took my order the way I wanted but when it was delivered it was cold, stale, had a piece of Turkey left on it… And MAYBE some remnants of cheese, 1 piece of lettuce and 1 thin slice of tomato. Pathetic. It was SOLIGHT, That I though the folded triangle of paper was garbage and not my sandwich. My coworkers and I couldn’t believe it. No excuse. They have officially lost my business. You don’t take an ingredient off a sandwich and serve it. That’s just poor business. I’m paying a decent amount of money I should be getting fresh food the way I ask for it. As a matter of fact I am paying the same for less… Keep the turkey! Now I’ll just go to Sayville Sandwich, Panera or Parkville.

Typical deli food that comes with to much attitude for one’s taste… I’m back to my mom and pop deli in bayport where you can order food without the tude…

Gave them a few tries but have never been impressed by this place. Granted it is always clean and offer a lot of choices. Unfortunately the staff is always rude and makes me feel uncomfortable. Food is nothing special and always overpriced. Not worth going to.

Great deli. Service is fast and good is delicious. Sub and daily specials incredibly reasonably priced. Additional food such as dessert and chips are slightly high.

This is one of the best delis I have ever ate at. Breakfast sandwiches are fresh and served fast which is just what I look forward to in the mornings. The staff is polite and helpful and pay attention to your order, a very hard thing to get these days. I’ll be back

This deli has an enormous selection for breakfast, lunch & dinner. First time here this morning and for a Saturday they seem really organized even though the line is really long. There is an ample amount of seating with huge Windows so it’s a nice place to sit and relax for 5 minutes. We got a baconegg&cheese(in New York that’s one word lol), a soup and a bagel. I asked for my bagel toasted and I sat down to the table and it was cold :(. The soup was burning hot though and that’s a huge plus because I love my food super duper hot. My dad sometimes brings food home from here for dinner and I’ve had the chicken Cesar wraps and the quality of the products they use seems sketchy. The chicken is good MOST of the times. They use neon orange bacon bits which grossed me out so I never ordered it again. I’ll probably stop back here again and try something different but for now 3 stars seems good for my rating.

Well I have order from here quite a few times, I really enjoy their create your own salads. I ordered lunch today to my office. It took them over an hour and a half to deliver… fine I understand, they were probably busy. But then my food comes, and I don’t know if the driver dropped it or they just packaged it terrible, but the soda I ordered was leaking everywhere and ripped through the bottom of the paper bag, my salad was upside down and when I went to bring my food to my desk it completely fell out of the bag because it was totally ripped from the leaky soda. ok not the worst thing in the world, mistakes happen… why I give it one star is besides the salad looking all old and unfresh, I also ordered a piece of snickers pie. it comes in a pie shaped plastic container, as I am eating it, I notice a piece of glass in the corner of the container, I thought it was plastic at first until I picked it up and saw it was a piece of very sharp glass. so needless to say I will not be ordering from them ever again. very disappointed, ive always enjoyed their food until today.

Cooky’s Deli. Hmmm. Not the easiest place to give a simple thumbs up or thumbs down; Cookys makes a great egg sandwich which is apparently hard to do, but then charges at least a buck too much for it… this pricing continues exponentially into the rest of the day, and the rest of their menu. The food is not amazing by any means but still one of the better delis around this area, offering a wide variety at a slightly steep price tag. Chilli n Mac’n’cheese are decent… the daily specials are a bit cheaper but still leave something to be desired; Cashiers are mostly friendly with one exception, and I’ve had various feeling about encounters with the people actually taking the orders Big place, fine service, cute counter girl always helps with a smile, I don’t know what else to say about the place, I’ll post a picture or two and state that the place has a great location and is always busy, definitely better than some other delis in this area and other areas too. I like that they have a wide selection so they get an extra star for that as well. Enjoy.

Went here in the hopes of having a good sandwich to take home and boy am I kicking myself in the arse for not conferring with Unilocal first. Saying my sandwich was mediocre would be a compliment. I asked for a particular sandwich with mozzarella cheese, I got american. Mind you the ticket they print out at the counter said mozzarella, so it was not the counter-persons fault. Also asked for this to be on a Garlic hero. The bread was not toasted and steaming hot when I got home, a sure sign that it was microwaved. After 3 bites into the sandwich it started to cool off and it felt as if I was biting into an old catchers mitt. The sandwich also had one slice of bacon and was drowned with Russian dressing to hide the hideous attempt of the garlic bread. Quite honestly I would have rather gnawed on stale jerky.

We picked up lunch last week. My husband ordered a hero and I ordered a grilled swiss cheese with bacon on rye. We got home and the hero was fine but I got grilled American, one piece of bacon on white.

Good deli no doubt about that. I come here over Locust Ave which I did not enjoy at all. The sandwich selection here is great but be prepared for lunch because the lines are crazy and it gets a little chaotic. I have also done the make your own salad and is always fresh just portion a tad small, I was still hungry. Also, outdoor seating on a nice day.

I always stop here and pick up muffins for my client. The service is great they always have at least for people at the counter and there good is fresh. They catered a Christmas lunch for me with this same client and to this day my client talks about that lunch.

This was once a very very good deli, not anymore I guess. I used to go here all the time when I serviced an account right down the road, all the food here was good. Went back the last 2 mornings for breakfast and was pretty disappointed both times. Got an egg sandwich first, did not like the roll, very very soft, not crusty on the outside like I like, the bacon was also very unevenly cooked, half crisp and half fatty, the eggs also were very poor quality, yes, believe it or not I can tell a low quality egg, the yolks have no flavor. The 2nd day I got a blueberry muffin, toasted and buttered. Not sure how they define toasted, this was cold with the exception of the very edge which was warm, the butter was not even melted. I guess good things don’t last.

Place is very busy usually especially during lunch. All the food is fresh and they always have daily specials. They have a full staff so it might be busy but you will be able to get your food in no time.

Best deli I’ve been to in quite some time. The place was so clean you could eat off the floors. I had a philly cheese steak with hot peppers and gravy. The sandwich was a little dry but I think it was my own fault for ordering a custom sandwich. My buddies had a chicken sandwich that looked unbelievable good for a deli sandwich. I will go back for sure.

The food is about average for a deli — nothing to write home about. Two out off three times I ordered an egg sandwich with no cheese they put cheese on it and tried to charge me for it. The prices are much higher than you’d expect. They actually charge more than a dollar for the 99 cent Arizona iced teas which is kind of ridiculous considering the can even says 99 cents. The staff has been pretty rude all three times I’ve been there too. They get annoyed if you ask questions and I don’t think I’ve seen any of them smile once.

I’ve been here a few times now and overall it’s pretty good. Tonight I ordered their Chicken Bacon Melt, which they have had each time I was there. Well, it’s sounds great, but it was not. The chicken was dry and the while meal tasted like salt. No flavor, just salt. The bacon was chewy, and I doubt the cheese was real cheese as it had no texture at all. Past items that I have enjoyed are chicken salad sand witch, chicken cutlet sand which, which were both pretty good. Homemade iced tea and lemonade are very good. Mashed potatoes are plain and instant. Crowded around lunch time, dinner time is better. I’ll try it again, maybe for breakfast next time.

Deli An extremely popular deli that serves breakfast & lunch — and you can order things to take for dinner as well. Cooky’s is always a mob scene at or around lunch time and for that reason I tend to only order delivery from them… A huge selection of sandwiches and cooked dishes — there are standard items and daily specials, plus specials of the day — so plenty of variety to keep it from getting old. I like the fact that they deliver — and many people in my office order that way– plus their website is actually useful so ordering in is a snap. Prices are not too bad– but expect to hit at least $ 10 per person for lunch. Parking all around the physical location.
