I can’t even think of much of a review other than insulting the people who like this place. It’s a craphole, the service blows, their pizza blows, and the prices… They blow too.

Wish I read the reviews before I went here. I ordered penne vodka with chicken and it was the worst vodka sauce I have ever had. The sauce was extremely watery and had no flavor neither did the chicken. I have worked in an italian restaurant before and if I served that I am sure customers wouldn’t come back. I asked for grated cheese and the shaker lid was covered in grease and didn’t look like it was cleaned for quite some time. To top it off I had stomach issues for the rest of the night. Needless to say I will never be going back here, stay away folks.

Good old NY style pizza place. No frills. Pizza is tasty and fresh I just ask for my pizza extra hot– most places can’t seem to make it more than warm, in rushing and in fear of burning it, unless you ask. They make a nice slice and are nice people– I just can’t see how you can give this place less than 3 stars.

Pizza is good but ??? We ordered a delivery and besides not sending any forks or napkins they sent the wrong drink and took 30 minutes to send it after i had to call. Not a good way to do business… FYI

So, first things first, I don’t think poorly of this pizza joint, I was trying to find a slice or two for lunch, and the service was quick enough, I ended up getting a Sicilian slice, and a margarita slice. The latter was great, the former, not so much, I will definitely be trying more local places, but I wouldn’t count out returning here if I’m in the area. I see they have gotten a bad rep in some of the past reviews, and I don’t doubt those experiences, though I had a good experience, it was about 8 dollars for my two slices (they could hardly be called specialty slices) and a drink, which is on the pricier side, especially for long Island.

I recently ordered delivery and was extremely disappointed. The pizza pie was dry and had a wierd after taste. I ordered a pasta dish for my husband and some of the ingredients were left out. The «sauce» was water. No joke. It was boiled chicken and about 1 cup of water at the bottom of the tin. It was supposed to be a marsala type sauce. We ordered garlic knots that were so dry and strong that we couldn’t taste anything after eating them. I will never order again from this place.

Pizza /pasta
Mario’s is a little pizza /pasta place located on the corner of Church and has recently expanded to add a new and larger sit-down area. It can be hard to see from the road is it is tucked away in the corner of the parking lot.
The location is bright and airy — which I liked while in there — a lot of the old pizza places are dull and dingy inside– no so here!
Pizza is available by the slice and there is a large menu of entrée items — your basic pizza place menu. Not eating pizza that often but when I do, I like to enjoy it. The slices here are a bit on the thin side but had the requisite crunch I like. The real test is the taste of course and the pizza slices I’ve had are all very good.
The help is happy and glad to see you — the owner was working there and she is extremely nice and we had a nice chit-chat while my lunch was being made.
Overall a solid 3-star place and they deliver so that is always a bonus.
