I stop here for pizza with my friends every once in a while and it’s always been great. Not the best, but great.

One of the best places for Italian find on the south shore of Long Island. The food and service were first rate . I had the eggplant and it was superb. Try the fried calamari as an appetizer

Ate here several times and ordered something different each time, all were great. Service is really good. Also had the pizza here and that was really good. Would highly recommend eating here.

Absolutely love this place. Super clean, friendly staff and the food is always excellent. The slices are huge compared to other pizza places and the ambiance is fun and inviting. They’re always great with kids too. Never a disappointment!

This is our weekday date place. Food is delicious, price is reasonable and it’s perfect for us when we need our pasta fix.

Even though the pizza quality is pretty mediocre, and I feel locals desperately would like a better option, you generally in the past have found yourself back here due to it’s location, convenience, and lack of competition. Though being in a rush to have a quick meal caused this again, that is slowly changing in the area. It’s not the best Italian cuisine option in the area any more with better places opening up(Mannino’s, Ciao Bella). It is not the best place(but certainly most expensive!) in the area to order heros(Mama’s, Mary’s). So to the review of yesterday. We walked in and ordered 4 slices, 2 buffalo chicken, 1 chicken ala vodka, and a margarita(I think? Thin crust, fresh mozz, basil… w/e) and a fountain coke. $ 17 and change. Ok… I already knew pizza is getting expensive. I’m not complaining… yet. My fiancé goes to the table, i’m waiting a bit for the pizza at the counter. The guy at the counter(1 of the 3 owners) takes a couple more orders and then a 3rd guy who needs to pay for his stuff. Guy tries to pay with a gift card, which they no longer take because they’ve had payment problems and in the past haven’t gotten paid due to the fact that they can’t tell how much money is on the card. Their machines aren’t set up to take gift cards, anymore. I found this interesting, but found even more interesting that a 5 minute conversation about it was necessary with my pizza burning in the oven. Pizza comes out and you can tell it’s been in too long(cheese on the edges is black, bottom breaks and creases when you try to fold it). Whatever. We were here because we were in a rush and the bar near by told us 25 minutes when we tried to call in for a burger and a salad… needed to eat and go, didn’t make a thing. We eat our pizza and leave. On our way out, because my 16oz soda was really just a huge cup of ice, I look the owner in the eye and ask if they did refills. Owner stares at me, says nothing, and shakes his head no. We leave. Unfortunately there was just something about that wordless exchange that just rubbed me the wrong way(and really led me to write this book). No connection with your customer, just a ‘scram kid, you’re bothering me’ moment. Really? I understand policy, don’t feel entitled and know people can take advantage, but you can’t spare .02 worth of coca cola syrup and a burst of CO2? As a parting gift saying ‘Thank you for your patronage on $ 17 worth of 4 burnt slices(not that he knew they were burnt) and a soda you already bought, we hope you come again.’ I hope your .02 of savings was worth this 2 star review. Won’t be back out of convenience.

Staying in a hotel and the bartender recommended this place. Hard to pick because everything on the menu looks great so I try to go light, broccoli rabe with chicken and pasta but I want sausage also and the owner thinks it over and says ok, wow what a dish, it was fantasic! Should be a choice on the menu. I would definetely recommend this place.

Been going to Saviano’s for sometime now and have not had a disappointing meal. Always friendly service and good food. There has got to be a pizza spot every mile around here but I keep coming back here. Keep up the good job guys!

Saviano’s… –good great fine, not amazing– but then… UPDATE: I’ve gone back on numerous occasions since their remodel… great slices! what a turn-around. I am a huge fan of the chicken a la Vodka slice, the tomato basil, and buffalo chicken… list goes on. I find that ordering a pie, doesn’t yield such great results, however going in and grabbing some slices for lunch or dinner is pretty damn good. It’s usually the other way around so it’s great to have Savianos. Ordered out the other night and again I just feel the dishes are falling a bit short; Penne alla Vodka is not good, nor really Penne Alla Vodka, more like hamburger helper… Tortellini Carbonara dissatisfies as well, hopefully you choose better, I had a sexual once that was great but I also remember substituting an ingredient. To reiterate, I think they have one of the best buffalo chicken slices around. Stick to the slices as the pies don’t seem to crisp up enough and something is just off. No one is perfect and neither is this star rating.

Been going here since I’ve been a kid in the early 90’s. Anthony(the owner) is such a genuinely nice guy. I am literally addicted to the pizza at Savianos. Legitimately some of the best pizza in all of New York. Love this place. Staff is very friendly.

Ok… so a friend told me to try Savianos– The first thing I have to say about this place is that they are the FASTEST place I have ever eaten at. I am not kidding, heres how it went: I ordered a chicken parm dinner to split with my daughter as a light lunch. The waiter took the order, went in the back and came back approximately 2.3 minutes later with our hot food. Secondly, the chicken parm was very decent tasting. Just a plain old chicken parm I ordered and linguini with marinara. It didn’t need anything on it at all it was really good as is and I enjoyed it. The place was huge and clean and nicely done too. Did I mention the portion was so large that not only did we split it but there was enough left that my husband ate the leftovers after he got in from work, with a salad I made and he was full. Yup nice portion. The only complaint I have is that they charge an arm and a leg–(but perhaps its worth it?) I will know better on my next visit when I try something different. I was a little irritated with the 7.95 additional charge for any other sauce requested. Really? 7.95 up charge for pomidoro sauce instead of marinara? No thanks I will have the marinara on the chicken parmesan thats ok. The prices are kind of silly for a pizza restaurant-I cant give 5 stars for this reason. Good thing they have great marinara I didnt miss the up charged pomidoro I opted out on at all. Overall it was pretty good on every point. Even the bread basket was excellent. I will be back for sure whenever I want no bullsh** good Italian food fast.

I ate here back in early September of 2012. I was looking at some restaurants just recently today and for some reason this place popped into my head probably because it’s the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I had pizza with vodka sauce that got me hooked on vodka sauce. For my meal I ordered a shrimp and clam linguine in white sauce, white clam sauce that is. It was the most delicious pasta I’ve ever had in my entire life at often dream about it to this very day. I have not found anything that tastes remotely close to this in the city of Houston. If someone knows of a place please let me know.

Great place when you are looking for good Italian or just pizza and calzones. I have been eating in Saviano’s for over 20 years now. The food is always good and consistent over time. They make a wonderful Penne a la Vodka and when available as a special, my wife always gets the Lobster Ravioli. We stop in and eat there at least once a month and are regulars when it comes to take out. The people are wonderful and the food is great, the price is very reasonable. If you are looking for that family run, old fashion Italian restaurant, this is a great place.

My wife and I have been coming here off and on since 1998. The place has gone through one renovation years ago and it was much needed. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here in 1999. The food is good in fact consistently good. I had shrimp picatta and wife chicken franchese. Both good meals not awesomeness but good which honestly is hard to find these days. They do a large takeout business also.

I just moved my office to the area and have been checking out many of the local area restaurants for lunch. Stopped into Saviano’s for a couple of slices. Very good pizza! Had a corner Grandma Slice and a Spinach Eggplant slice… very good on both accounts! I will be trying them for a whole pie on the way home one night for sure!!!
