I want badly to be able to give them a great review but it just see-saws a fine line back and forth. Super nice the first time I stopped in after work, friendliest ever! I was sure to come back, and did! The girl threw a stuffed mushroom in the bag for free because she knew I was being indecisive and feeling a little under the weather, even noticed I had a fresh haircut and said it looked good. I left the place feeling awesome! Since then I’ve returned and had a conversation or two with people behind the counter which I like a lot, but they never remember me… I think supporting local small business is important but I just can’t afford it when compared to other spots and local options. The last time I as in I felt robbed of all that I loved about the place to begin with, slowly but surely I felt bad I recommended this place to all my coworkers and friends in the area. Take it or leave it I guess

Being a small business owner I very much understand how important customer service is and because of that, I’m very critical when I’m the consumer. Even though service is important, it always takes a back seat to quality, selection and price. This Mom and Pop market reminds me of a butcher shop my parents went to when I was a kid. Cozy old school feel with real butchers that actually cut real red meat. Homemade sausages looked like they belonged in a gourmet magazine in Milan. This place has got the trifecta of Quality, Selection and Price but the customer service takes the cake. Amazing! If you like the Italian«Old World» market feel, then you have to stop by. I did today, just to look around and walked out with the most amazing meat and informed my wife that we now have a real butcher. Bravo from The guys at Claws.

Deli /Catering The motto of Old World Fine Foods(OWFF) is «where gourmet meals begin». Generally, when I see the word gourmet I tend to pass on it as that is usually the code word for overpriced. I knew they did a lunch thing so I decided to finally stick my head in there and have a go of it. The place is basically a large square with dry goods in the center as you walk in with the deli and butcher cases lining the ride side and rear walls. The wares in the«butcher» area were pretty interesting with a combination of prepared foods that require reheating and then there are a lot of marinated meats etc. available for cooking. I wasn’t in need of the meat items so settled on a sandwich with some fixins and did some browsing while my order was being prepared. By the time I was ready to leave, I was salivating from all the goodies on display — chicken, turkey and pork chops all in different marinades, rice balls, a slew of different burgers ready for the grill… sheesh it was heaven. Oddly enough the prices seemed very reasonable and after paying for lunch and heading back to my desk to consume, I was pleasantly surprised that my sandwich turned out exactly as I had specified… perfect. I hate when the deli person just slaps it together — this thing was done nicely. Definitely will be back as I want to try some of the other goodies that I passed on. Parking in front.

The boys and I value great food at great prices. You can find it here. The prepared foods counter is fantastic. In my many trips there for lunch, I haven’t duplicated an order yet. There is always something new to explore.
