Nice and spacious compared to other good breakfast spots. Good service and the private parking lot is a major plus, especially on busy weekend and holidays I bet. Very relaxed environment with a small front patio seating area. I had the ½ order of classic eggs benni; it was tasty and satisfying but somewhat average. I really like that they offered a ½ order. So many great places to check out in Boise but I could see myself coming back some time in the future to try out other menu items.

I love Addie’s. The first time I visited, around 4 years ago, was a fluke – Goldie’s had a way long line. My nephew was in town and we were starved so I suggested Addie’s. What a great time we had! Excellent food, fun & quirky wait staff and great homey atmosphere. Though I enjoyed Goldie’s back then, I have only been back to Goldie’s one time in 4 years. Addie’s is my go-to place. It has everything I want in a breakfast restaurant, and I’ve never had to wait.

Usually a great spot to grab some breakfast and a coffee, but today was the single worst dining experience I’ve ever had. It took 25 minutes before our order was taken, and once the waitress was finally ready she was the meanest person I’ve ever met. The girl serving the drinks was also frankly extremely rude. 5 minutes, two of the worst interactions I’ve had with anyone in my life. If I wasn’t being cooled down by my dining mates I would have snapped back at her and stormed out. Addie’s is dead to me, I will never be back. If I could give 0 stars I would. Stay away from this place if you like happiness, decent service, or smiles.

I didn’t want to wait for goldies and didn’t want to drive to Joe moas which I would normally choose over goldys. Addies was good food and attentive servers it was a great experience and I am unsure as to why they don’t get more good reviews. My coffee was always full and the food was great I also didn’t have to worry about how much time was on my parking meter.

Skillet was great. Coffee was weak. Gravy was made from a packet. Bus boys were great. Woman server was passive aggressive.

No fancy décor, but good honest food, quick and friendly service, reasonable prices, and adequate free parking(a real plus downtown). What’s not to like?

Bad décor, horrible coffee… The food is average but they are quick and no wait on a Saturday morning. If you need a quick breakfast, you can overlook the mediocrity of the place.

Breakfast is a specialty of the day. Lunch if you are so inclined. Typical breakfast date with a special Or two thrown in for good measure. Kid friendly they have high chairs. Wood paneling on the walls. It’s not high town but it’s a family favorite– the waitress has been here since they’ve opened! The meal was served pronto quick hot and good. The bacon — thick and crispy. Just the way I like it! Water served right when your sat! Good job! We love this place!!! Come back soon now!!!

Unfortunately I have never had good luck at this place. I hoped that my experience would have been different here because it reminds we of a small town diner. I have tried out Addie’s two times. Both times I had the chicken fried steak and both times it fell below the mark. The second time I thought the meat had gone bad because it tasted sour! After the waitress cleaned up our table she didn’t even ask why I was returning a full plate of food. I would recommend saving your money or try out one of the other spots downtown.

Addie’s is a great little downtown breakfast spot. Came here in the 11 o’clock hour on a Saturday and were seated immediately(nice!). I ordered their breakfast burrito(with sausage). I love a good breakfast burrito and this was good! It was ample and the sausage added a nice kick of flavor. Their house coffee is fine(diner quality – think Elf & the world’s best cup of coffee from Zooey Deschanel’s(Jovie’s) perspective). The flavor doesn’t move mountains, but it’s palatable. The service was fast, friendly, and accommodating. And, the prices are quite reasonable. I think our breakfast for two came to less than 20 bucks(before tip). Get to it!

What a charming little weekend brunch spot! I was just in town visiting so I’ve been only once but Addie’s was just what I needed before heading off the the airport. This casual little diner/café appeared to be chock-full of regulars. The staff seemed to know just about everyone and were quick to warmly welcome us into their space and outfit us with menus and a table. Along the walls you can find booths that fit about 4 – 6 people and then in the middle of the space there were plenty more 2 and 4 tops. No wait to sit down on a Saturday before noon? Perfect! We chose a booth and just as we sat someone popped by to take our drink order. Coffee came fast and in the 40 or so mins we were there we’d had multiple staff visit our table to top us off. I loved that the servers tag team here and basically work the room together to make sure that everyone’s needs are met. The menu is really extensive! So much so that I needed a few more mins to decide what to eat. In addition to class savory breakfast dishes(eggs, toast, omelets, etc) they also have sweet dishes(pancakes, waffles) and even sandwiches for people wanting more typical midday/lunch type offerings. I went with the breakfast burrito with sausage and was extremely happy with my choice. This was unlike any breakfast burrito I’d ever had! Though it didn’t really have any flavor of seasons or salt/pepper, it came with a side of salsa and sour cream. Inside the absolutely massive burrito they’d somehow beautifully folded in thin-cut soft potatoes and a sheet of egg. So it wasn’t lumpy or chopped ingredients, they were all folded neatly in sheets. It was like a work of art to see this thing come together! And tucked inside among the other ingredients were the pieces of delicious breakfast sausage. No veggies, but that worked because I added both the sour cream and salsa to mine to pack in some more flavor. Prices were reasonable, service was prompt and friendly, and the location was great because there was a small lot out front and also street parking around the corner. On a hot day we didn’t have to walk far to pop in and they had the AC running so it was much cooler inside than out. There’s also a large patio to take advantage of on days that aren’t so warm. Overall it was lovely!

What a tasty treat! I’ve heard mixed reviews about this place and decided to finally try it. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet meal and was not disappointed! There was plenty of veggies and meat included, and everything was cooked to perfection — not too soft and squishy or hard and undercooked, but just right. They also had a ton of menu options for both breakfast and lunch with the prices ranging from pretty inexpensive to moderately priced. Nothing seemed like it costed«too much,» which is great! The service was quick and friendly from a hipster guy who kept up with refilling drinks and being available despite there being a fair amount of tables filled. Overall, I won’t hesitate to visit this place again when I’m in the mood for a tasty meal!

This is our favorite breakfast place in town. Just a solid joint to go and get a great classic breakfast for cheap! Great coffee, staff is amazing! Their skillets are fantastic and HUGE portions. I’ve always left extremely satisfied and will always keep coming back for more!

*****five star greasy spoon***** Pleasantly surprised! I’m a picky and discerning breakfast eater… because I make breakfast so well myself, in my jammies, exactly when I’m hungry. The only 2 places in the entire country(besides my own stove) that can make eggs right, no specific order, Embassy Suites, Lomard, IL… Goldy’s here in Boise(that really surprised me the first time) and now Addie’s! The perk here is that its cheaper than Goldy’s and still downtown AND you won’t have to wait an hour for a table. Its clean, efficient, and friendly!

This place is a nightmare. The service is awful first of all! I asked for cream for my coffee and the server gave me an old cup of creamer from the dirty table next to me! Disgusting to say the least. Our food was equally disgusting. No flavor, greasy, and out of a package. This is breakfast that they screwed up so badly. I would not eat here again if it was the only place open in all of Idaho. Not to mention the whole place is filthy…

The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a while, and we’re goldys regulars. The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired and the service was so-so but we’ll definitely be back.

A friend recommend Addie’s a few weeks ago saying they had the best biscuits and gravy in town. Since I needed something dense to help me get over last night I thought I would give it a try. Sadly, I was underwhelmed by the B&G. The pancakes were good and the bacon was well made, but the B&G fell short. It’s was just okay. The portions were substantial however, which was my main focus, so that’s good. Four people for less than $ 30 is pretty fair as well. The staff was quick with coffee refills and we’re all very nice.

I’ve been eyeballing Addie’s for a while, as I live down on 2nd Street and I’m a fan of any breakfast place I can walk to. especially after a night downtown. My boyfriend and I walked down last Saturday around 8:30am to grab a bite and ale our hangovers. I had the Hobo Benny(I think that was the name). Essentially just an amped-up order of biscuits and gravy, which I was A-OKAY with. It wasn’t necessarily anything to write home about, but I would certainly go back. The gravy was flavorful, the servings healthy, and the cost was reasonable. The staff was very friendly, too! A great little diner with a kind of «hole in the wall» feel, which I dig. I’m sure I’ll be see Addie’s many more Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The place is quaint. The a/c was blowing cold when it is 44 degrees outside. But, the coffee is hot and refilled frequently. However, that is just the start of my interesting meal experience. I order the same breakfast I order in most places. I don’t usually finish all of it, but I rarely leave the protein behind. Today, I barely ate it. Chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, sourdough, and biscuits and gravy are my standard fare. Minus the toast, everything seemed to be homemade. The biscuits were soft, the gravy ok, and the toast was lightly buttered. The hashbrowns were good, but I think there could have been a little more attention to doneness. The killer was the CFS. It looked like it was dipped in flower and grilled on a flat top. The texture wasn’t reflective of a well tenderized cube steak. The breading was seared to the meat, nothing like a piece of fried chicken. It was difficult to chew, and it lacked the crunchy coating. I ate less than half. :-( The buzz in the room was good, and there seemed to be many regulars. I have to assume there are other items on the menu that are good, but I didn’t get them.

Average. Been here 3 or 4 times now. Standard run-of-the-mill American fare. Service has been ok at best. The only thing I can say that was consistently good from our visits were the soups and sandwiches. Maybe we just got lucky. I had the 1⁄3 lb. burger with tots today. Didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked, but I didn’t expect them to. It came out pretty good. The tomato, lettuce and onion were surprisingly fresh. Tots overcooked and tasted like onions. Their breakfasts are ok, but there are other places nearby I’d rather go. The inside is pretty hashed on and in need of repair. However, it wasn’t too bad getting 40% off with the current Smart Card deal.
