The gilled beef bo nuong was really tasty, the phở was the best we’ve had in Boise so far, good thai tea too. Food came out fast.

This place is solid! What do I mean by solid? The food you order is consistently tasty, hot, and quality. I always order the BBQ Pork or Rotisserie Chicken Bahn Mi. These sandwiches are about $ 5 each and are a foot long! Of course they are served on Baguettes so although they are long, they are also skinny. We also have tried the eggrolls they offer. These were good as well. Be prepared to have to ask for the sauce that go along with them and pay $ 0.25 each. Interesting, but since the sandwiches are cheap, I will endure the pain of asking and paying for the sauce separately. We frequent this place regularly and will continue to do so!

If you have had good phở and summer rolls before don’t come here. I was so disappointed in both. I honestly had such high hopes because other people gave it good reviews but clearly they don’t know what good phở is. Also I came because they had boba tea but even that was bad and flavorless.

Hands down worst service I have ever had in all my years of living in Idaho. Phở was okay but they only have one option, beef. Also they charged for peanut sauce which should come with the dish. It’s like going to a taco shop and paying for salsa. Overall, it’s decent if your wanting to avoid a chain restaurant but it is over priced for what you get. Hopefully this company will work on their customer service as it was the biggest shortcoming of our experience. The restaurant could be cleaner however I did not see a food inspection rating in their window. Definitely not an A.

Staple for me over the last 4 years. Sandwiches are fantastic with the sourced baguettes they use. Always am happy with the quantity/quality balance. Wish they’d put the pitchers of water back out at lunch!

Go to spot for(super) quick lunch during work hours. FOOD: I’ve tried pork, grilled pork, grilled beef sammies, and phở. My favorite that I’ve been sticking with is the grilled beef. It’s sweet and savory at the same time. I love the pickles in their sandwich! However, I now stay away from the pork sandwich because the meat looked and tasted like something regular deli meat you get at grocery store. The phở is average at best. They only have 1 option for phở(beef) and it’s nothing to write home about. Finally, I have to tell you that their avocado smoothie is the bomb! I love it! PLACE/AMBIANCE: The place can be pretty busy during lunch time. They have limited seating so I almost always get my sandwich for to go. Not the best place for a large group(I’d say max is 4 people). But parking lot is huge because it’s located in the Fred Meyer complex. SERVICE: It’s a «walk in-get your order at the counter-your number is called-sit down&eat» type of place. So you’d expect to get limited service here. If you decide to dine in, they take care of your dishes at the end of the meal. One of the most amazing thing about this place is how fast they make the sandwich. I’ve counted when there’s NO line and I can be in-and-out in 3 mins.

Very small, minimal ambiance, storefront place right next door to the Franklin Fred Meyer in the same becoming seedy strip mall serving Vietnamese and or regular sandwiches all made on the just right texture for banh mi baquette(made daily for them by Orient Market in Boise), phở, bun(one of our favorite SE Asian noodle dishes) and fresh(spring) rolls at bargain prices. THEDRILL Big menu boards are posted over the counter. Order there, they’ll give you a number and then call it when your order is ready to pick up. Which is in short order. THEVIBE Then you can carry it back to your seat at maybe eight or so lino topped tables(seating for 18ish people), if you’re lucky enough to get a seat at all, to polish off your meal in equally short order. This is not a place you’ll choose to dine and linger, but eat and go. Or take out. Seating being as limited as it is in the tight space. THEFOOD In addition to 10 or 12 different Vietnamese style sandwiches there are an equal number of standard sandwiches, phở(beef) and bun(four kinds). Since the latter is a favorite dish for us, we might have ordered it except we didn’t see it on the menu board and so only learned they had it as we read a paper menu at the table as we inhaled, ummm… ate the banh mi. Which will lead to a comment about service… to follow. They also make 4 kinds of fresh(spring) rolls daily and have them shrink wrapped in packages of 3(for only @$ 4) at the counter to pick up and take with you. We had barely made a dent in our shrimp fresh rolls with tasty peanut sauce when they called our number for the bbq(in the SE Asian style not American style) pork bahn mi. The bahn mi we wisely decided to share because it is plenty big enough even though it carries a modest price tag of just under $ 5. The baguette was perfect pillowy-meets-chewy essential for this kind of sandwich and the flavorful grilled meat filling was ample. But for us it wasn’t quite the ‘all that’ we expected based on some reviews. That is because for us the point of banh mi is the abundance of pickled fresh vegetables, SE Asian herbs and hot fresh peppers. While there were fresh vegetables they were not abundant and the pickling was barely there. The fresh cilantro was good but the jalapeño, sliced lengthwise, was quite thick. YOWZA! I like heat but if you’re more faint of heart for that bite, you might search and remove beforehand. They also have bahn mi made with the pâté style pork roll that is likely the most traditional filling of all and it appeared in a couple of their sandwiches. Vegetarian options also available. THESERVICE The lady at the counter was all business as she took our order. This is not the place to ask to have described what this item or that one is. We felt a little like being in a Senifeld episode(you know that Soup Nazi skit) when we asked what was the difference between a ‘sandwich only’ and ‘combo order’.(Answer, fyi, is chips and soda with the latter… nope…not our thing.) So the point is, if you don’t know something about SE Asian sandwiches and food, it is best to learn that before you go in. We were glad we didn’t need the person behind the counter to walk us through. Nice lady. But the routine is specific. ALLINALL… …good enough that we’d go back if in the area at the right time of day when for a quick lunch. In particular since we didn’t notice the bun options until too late to order one of them. But this wouldn’t be a destination for us. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Ample amount in the big Fred Meyer’s lot but somehow it always seems as this lot if full no matter how big it is. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in and throughout the small space. Tables are standard height and a few have ample floor space for wheelchair users. But likely best to plan to leave strollers outside here. The parking lot is woefully out of compliance with Federal Law and State Structural Code for accurate number and placement of accessible parking spots.

Food is great but they won’t sell you a cup of water. Want to sell you a bottle. Will come back when the offer water in a cup.

I have been seeking a phở & bahn mi place since arriving from Chicago. So happy to have landed here thanks to a recommendation from a Chinese Market employee. Haven’t tried the phở yet but the prices and bahn mi were just right!

The sandwich was fine. I was just put off by the fact that they won’t give you a cup of water. I am not a soda drinker, so I asked for water. I was told the only available water was bottled water that was being sold in the refrigerator to my left. The soda machine behind her has a water button, but I guess they don’t want to give it away. That was a first for me to not be able to get a free cup of water with my meal.

Is the food good? Yes, from little they give you. Ordered a beef teriyaki and I got only two thin slices of meat for 6.75. It’s all bread and tomato with meat. A joke. Go to jimmy johns, subway, Quiznos or any other place than these cheap scoundrels.

We eat at Baguette Deli once a month, which is more than we eat at any other establishment. We go for the noodle bowls — they are delicious! Just the right combination of ingredients. I advise you to use the lime and tear the basil into the soup before mixing in all the sauces — they really add a great depth of flavor. 5 stars for the noodles! 4 stars overall because they don’t put very much meat in their sandwiches, which are otherwise delicious, and their egg rolls had this weird rubber-like thing in it… maybe an overcooked mushroom? I pulled one out and it looked and tasted like rubber. The bread they use is amazingly crispy on the outside, but only a fine layer — not like hard like many other places. I prefer more meat and mustard, which they also skimped on. If they have biegnets, get one for the road — they are really yummy!

The phở was tasty although considerably less tasty than that of Phở Nouveau downtown. My biggest problem was that they would only sell bottled water. After having put my last dollar and change in the tip jar I had to run another transaction to get a bottle of water with my meal for $ 1. I guess I just felt nickel and dimed :/ I know they don’t have to, but I would sure appreciate it if they would provide the common service of water with my meal. I like my phở spicy!

Come here for the Vietnamese phở! Well worth every cent. I took a picture of the meal and it should speak for itself. The sandwiches are really tasty but not to meaty or filled with much ingredients, which is why you come for the phở! ;) It probably only seats twenty people at a time so come early if you plan on sitting and eating.

Excellent! The BBQ beef sandwich(#3) with light jalapenos is phenomenal. I also had a green tea smoothie with boba which was delicious, although a little on the sweet side for green tea. I am looking forward to eating here again and trying the Phở and the Thai tea with boba next time. The boba teas are priced a little high in my opinion, but the food is priced fairly and really good! The staff is crazy friendly. I have heard that there are consistency issues with the food that they put out, but I have yet to experience it because I have only eaten here one time.

The food is delicious. The banh mi sandwiches are fresh with lots of veggies. They also have boba teas, phở, beignets, egg rolls, and the occasional dessert of sweet rice cakes with coconut milk and sesame seeds(although I haven’t seen these lately). My favorite sandwich is the #3(BBQ beef). Beware: it comes with a heavy dose of jalapeños so I always ask for them on the side. You’ll frequently find pre-made spring rolls on the counter(also good) and a variety of Asian sodas and drinks in the cold case. This place is halfway between school and my job so it’s all too easy to stop for a quick meal on the go. It’s also convenient because Fred Meyer, Dutch Bros, gas and Chase are in the same complex. Generally they are very fast. There’s only one time our food took more than a few minutes and it was because it was it was raining, packed, and everybody wanted phở. The reason why I can’t give this place five stars is the customer service. There are two women who work the counter: one is extremely nice and the other sorely lacks customer service skills(not welcoming, acerbic, comes across as rude). Part of this, I realize, is a cultural thing. But sometimes it puts me in a foul mood, especially when I am being nice to them and don’t get it in return. Either way, I will continue to return for inexpensive sandwiches and great bubble tea!

Great place for a quick fix when I’m craving phở. Not the best I’ve ever had but it still hits the spot. Large portions with a low price. Service is very nice and timely. Convenient location in the Fred Meyer complex is perfect for quick dinner and shopping nights on my way home. Haven’t tried the sandwiches yet but I plan on it and will update then.

This is THE very best bowl of phở in the Boise area. Trust me, I’ve tried them all. The only reason they are missing the 5th star is because the do not put enough meat in their sandwiches. The bathroom is also not as clean as it should be. I have been in the bathroom on two different occasions with no soap.
