Came to study and caffeinate. What I found was a pleasant place to sit and drink an incredibly smooth cup of Turkish coffee(impressive, given its potency), made by an incredibly personable gentleman with incredible knowledge of various styles of coffees(all served there) and a willingness to teach me about them. The place is situated in the new International market, so if you stay for an hour, you will hear casual conversations happening around you in at least 3 different languages. If you’re studying and get hungry, you have ready access to all sorts of authentic cultural delights. Come for the coffee, stay for the cultural experience.

Other reviewers mention the Turkish coffee– and they should. It’s fabulous in flavor and execution. It’s an experience… One you can savor with friendly conversation or alone with a good book. But if you are a fan of Chai, you HAVE to try Kahve’s. It’s the best in Boise(and arguably the most authentic). Not to be missed!

Very good coffee and lovely pastries. The Lebanese coffee and baklava were wonderfully authentic and extremely high quality. It may not be the fastest service in the world, but it is very much worth the wait. I will definitely be back here again.

I like coffee. Immensely. Over half of my Unilocal check-ins probably come from one coffee shop so when I say that if that shop were to ever close, I would spend a good portion of my time and money at Kahve Coffee, I am not messing around. Kahve Coffee is not your average caffeine dealer. The time and technique that goes into making Turkish coffee is exceptional and I found myself watching in awe of the whole process. My co-worker and I both ordered 4oz coffees with sugar and we waited about ten minutes or so to get our drinks. This is not an uncommon wait time for the Turkish coffee because there are many steps that go into its preparation. Watching the gentleman make the coffee was very similar to the level of detail that goes into an artisan tea preparation and I found myself respecting the care and attention that was paid to making the drink. The coffee itself is thicker than your normal cup of Joe and much stronger. It is meant to be sipped and enjoyed rather than pounded. When you get to the bottom of your cup there will be a dark and intensely flavored mud awaiting you, do not be alarmed, this is normal. Turkish coffee does not use filters like Westerners are used to and this mud is a common occurrence. If you want a quick, boring iced mocha, go to Starbucks. If you want a drink that has had time and effort devoted to creating a deep and enriched coffee experience, come to Kahve Coffee.

I’ve come here quite a bit with my mom to have ginger shots or tea. I think it’s the best place in town for the selection of teas, coffee, juices and unique pastries. I really like the boise international market in general, but Kahve is what keeps me coming back! The service has always been quick and friendly, the ginger shots we get are deliciously warm, spicy and make your body feel healthier immediatly. If you haven’t stopped by yet, you should!(:

What they lack in speed they more than make up for in quality. This small family owned coffee shop has a great variety of teas and coffees from around the world. My typical order here is a Cuban coffee which they make very close to authentically. All their drinks are hand crafted to order with great care. If you don’t mind waiting a little bit it’s definitely worth it!

I love this place. It’s all about taking a little time out of your day, and relaxing at a table with a Turkish coffee and pastry. The owner/proprietor is a delightful person, and does a great job making the coffee. I’ve never been disappointed!

So I went in to international mall to visit the tea shop and I stopped for some hot cocoa for my daughter here. The customer service was quite good and the man running it even went and got ice to make sure that the drink was not too hot for her, which I appreciated. He saw that I had a bag of tea asked me what kind of tea I liked. I told him I enjoyed chai tea and he let me smell their chai blend. I decided to try a 12 oz chai tea. He asked me how sweet I liked it and he customized the tea with cream and sugar just perfect. I was really quite impressed. The chai tea he made was very good. It was smooth with just enough spice. I always order a chai tea latte from Starbucks when I go, and this place was way, way better. I am definitely going to go back there again for my next chai tea. The owner is also very knowledgeable about coffee in general and can tell you about all of his blends and where they are from. It’s also all fair trade tea and coffee, which is very nice to know. Price is also quite reasonable. The only minor issue was that tea was quite hot in my hand, so I had to put an extra coffee collar on the cup. Otherwise, I was really, really impressed. I would highly recommend! I’m going to take my best friend there for coffee soon!

After eating at El Cafetal I decided to stroll around the Boise International Market. I ended up as Khave and felt the need to try a Turkish coffee. Let me just start by saying that if you come here with a Starbucks mind set then you have already lost. But if you come with an open mind and are not in a rush you can enjoy a truly well prepared beverage! Lots of expertise and love goes into it and the price is extremely reasonable. The special was the Indian Masala Chi but I opted for the Turkish coffee experience. Ahmed was super nice and he showed me how to enjoy it since it comes with the traditional serveware that most are not familiar with. When I ordered he asked me if I wanted it sweetened and I said yes. I appreciated that he lightly sweetened it and put sugar cubes on the side if I wanted more. The crema on it was amazing and was very flavorful. I am not a huge lover of dark roast flavor but this was really good. I asked him about the chi special and he said I could get it any day. He gave me a sample of the Indian Masala chi since their was leftover from another customer and it was also lightly sweetened and the Most amazing chia I have EVERHAD!!! the aroma of cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon is wonderful! I am definitely getting this next time. I would highly recommend it and grab a seat and savor it and the moment!

In my previous review I mention that they serve Turkish Coffee. Having enjoyed their Turkish Coffee a couple times now, I can report that they are serving up some of the best Turkish Coffee in town. It’s smooth, never bitter, and just exactly what one would expect impeccably prepared Turkish coffee to be. And, if you’ve never tried Turkish Coffee but like rich, dark roasted coffee? Give it a whirl. I would mention, though, that Turkish Coffee is best enjoyed in house. You do not, in my opinion, take Turkish Coffee to-go. To-go is American. Kick it Turkish style – sit, sip, and enjoy a little coffee conversation over the rim of your cup. It’s an experience. And, then, when you get to the bottom of your cup – feel free to do a little coffee fortune telling with the grounds. Seriously, it’s a thing! There are entire books about how to do this. As for me, my dining companion informed me my grounds were perfectly arranged into the shape of a pegasus. Which, while not as transcendent as a unicorn, seemed to point to the beginning of a good day none-the-less. Get to it!

First time in Idaho, my friend took me to this place located in the Boise International Market. I had my first traditionally made Turkish coffee. The coffee was great and the people are friendly, and the prices are very good! I recommend you try it! –Andrey G
