Eh, it’s just okay. Disappointed with the clothing side. Not much to offer and really not a very good style of clothing/footwear for a boutique. Missing the market here. The toy/gear side has a lot to offer-great boutique brands at competitive prices. Customer service is okay, nothing great.

After walking in the door to this super cute shop to look for a present, I was greeted with«What do you want?» And«it’s over there.» I was slightly taken aback at the brusque tone of voice, and after waiting for 15 minutes after I asked for help,(there was one other person in the entire store with plenty of staff), I was still ignored. The owner continued to talk about how Boise was nothing like California, and that she wasn’t sure why she’d set up here when she could have been there. I put my things away, deciding that after being ignored I could simply give my business to another boutique, the owner said«did you need something?» I politely said that I’d asked for help twice, to no avail. I love to shop local but was sadly disappointed in the treatment from this local establishment, and will not be coming back at all.

This store has a good selection of maternity/nursing bras. I couldn’t find bras that fit me in the treasure valley before I got pregnant and was not looking forward to ordering maternity bras online. Thankfully they had some great brands(Bravado) that fit my small ribcage and large bust. The sales lady was very nice and helpful. She is keeping a record of what I bought and bras I picked out for later just in case my husband has to pick up any bras after the baby is born. The store was well stocked with a little bit of everything and they get shipments in every week. My husband even found some entertaining books for new dads. It’s as cheap as Amazon but being able to look at products in person is worth a few dollars more. I would consider registering here if I didn’t already have my registries completed. This is a perfect place for buying baby shower gifts since they have quality products and lots of unique gifts.

My first experience with this place I would have given a 4-star review for the selection and service. Went back to get gifts for my sister in law and possible book or so for my daughter. After the second visit, I will NOT be returning. Word of advice for management; when customers come into your children’s store with their CHILDREN, don’t treat the kids like they are a nuisance for being there. My 2 year old daughter was eyeing the bows on the display, and heaven forbid picked one up(while I was standing 2 inches next to her) and the woman acted as if she picked up a piece of china and started jumping around. Good grief lady. Way to make us feel incredibly unwanted and doing us a favor in helping us decide never to spend another dime in your over-priced pretentious children’s boutique. That’s an oxy moron if I ever heard one. Places like these and management like those give natural and organic products and people who use them a bad name.

I’m not a daddy or a baby mama, but I did need to buy gifts for a co-ed baby shower. My thoughts: first, diapers are useful but all too common, and second, I like to think outside of the box. If you are looking for the boutique experience and not the corporate giants like Babies-R-us, then look no further. This shop is unexpectedly large with baby apparel, maternity wear, toys, and useful gadgets compartmentalized into separate rooms. I fell for it all… it’s too bad I’m carrying a Y chromosome! Otherwise, I would be buying everything! So, to all those with a bun in the oven, go treat yourself and spend your baby daddy’s money.

As a new mom, I adore Kellee and her staff at Buns in the Oven! During pregnancy she saved my sanity with great maternity jeans from James, a great selection of items for our gift registry, and so much knowledge about all things baby. I’m so comfortable knowing that they’ve done their homework and carry only the best(not necessarily most expensive) baby items, from diapers and toys to strollers. Same goes for nursing accessories for mom. I only wish that they had more space for bigger items, such as car seats and furniture. I recommend them to all new Treasure Valley parents!

An amazing store for maternity, baby, and kids of all ages! This place is bright, lively and the staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. Also a great place to find that perfect gift, create a unique registry with items that will last through all your children and the place to pick up that perfect little piece of heaven to make your day better! A large plus is that there are cards and FREE gift wrapping for all your gifts(even those to yourself!). I have discovered their fans page on Facebook and they have AMAZING sales available only for fans.

If you are looking for a unique baby gift or a gift for the expectant mom, this is the place to go — and they are expanding so there will be much more to choose from.

The gals at Buns in the Oven are disarmingly fun and friendly. By request, I was given an introductory tour of diaper bags, from the utilitarian nylon dad bag to the buttery italian leather tote(really? for a diaper bag?) which of course, I do now covet. Each day is a feature sale(«organics» were 15% off my last visit) and each month has a new giveaway drawing. But beyond all the salesy schtick is a stylish collection of maternity pieces, baby gear and all those things you never knew you needed until you had one of your very own. Even then, need may be too strong a word, but could you turn down the adorable sling that Marcia Cross has been spotted wearing? I couldn’t.
