Good authentic tacos. For the other reviewer, if you really like authentic taco trucks, you should know to stay away from the rice and beans and just eat tacos. Another tip to the authentic taco truck fix is to always avoid the chicken. Mexican taco wagons always have plain, boiled chicken that is made for the burritos. Flour tortilla? Have never been given a flour tortilla for a taco from these guys. Truck is parked by businesses during the day and the bars downtown at night. Stays open past bar closing.

Rawr… Just lost my review due to an accidentally pressed back button =/ Oh well, let’s start fresh: Came here for lunch after craving a good Mexican place and seeing a taco truck right outside the building where I’m currently working really made want to try it out. Taco trucks always remind me of some good times back home in Cali. I should’ve known — they probably don’t have very many authentic Mexicans up in Idaho… a little too far from the border… I ordered their combination plate #2 — 1 burrito(I got chicken) and 1 taco(I got carne asada) with rice and beans along with a Mandarin Jarritos Soda set me back $ 7, I flipped the extra change into the tip bucket. The first thing I took a bite into was that taco. Unfortunately, they already got a point off for using flour tortillas… come on, corn!!! Anyways, that first bite was nothing but SALT. BLEH! The thing I love about a good taco truck taco is(1) Onions and cilantro(they had plenty) and(2) good meat(this stuff was disgustingly salty). And that’s pretty much all there is to a good simple taco. But when you screw up one of the main ingredients… BOOONYOU! I finished off the taco with bites from the refried beans and rice from the plate… but I marked another point of for that rice… mushy, poorly seasoned groul… it really looked like that crap you get at Taco Bell… or worse, the stuff you see at cheap buffets… UGHH… Unfortunately, that’s pretty much what filled the burrito — mediocre refried beans and crappy rice with a bit of chicken… oi… I’m gonna have to find another Mexican place around here to satisfy my burrito/taco cravings. Overall, I ended up giving them 1 star for location(which is still maybe only a semi-star) and 1 star for getting me filled(it was still a pretty large burrito and decent sized plate…). Still, mediocre food should receive a mediocre score… 1.5−2 stars max. =(
