Worst customer service ever, I am embarrassed for this company, these girls literally turned up their noses at us, all the dresses are ugly anyway go right down the road to margenes literally around the corner on the right I’m sitting here now living my experience I cannot believe David’s bridal you guys are a joke all those woman should loose their jobs

Avoid at all costs. I would give zero stars if I could. The customer service is terrible. The employees have a cattle-​processing mentality – it’s all about telling the customer what they want to hear but not being able to follow through.
I went in with my bridal party on January 18, 2015 – six months and a few days before my wedding date. We had appointments. The consultant had multiple appointments booked during our time frame, which completely defeated the purpose of having an appointment – she wasn’t around to help us when we needed it, and we ended up getting help of random women working in the shop as they passed by. We literally had to flag them down, and my maids had to help me try on dresses.
We checked in, and as we talked with the consultant, we remarked we were interested in the clearance dresses. She said the dress we liked (that was $ 50), wasn’t available online in the colors that I had previously researched. We ended up moving on, and purchasing dresses for $ 150 for each of the girls, except for my pregnant maid of honor, (more on her later). When I got home, I looked up the clearance dresses online, and guess what? They were not only available, but they were available IN THE COLOR AND SIZES WE NEEDED. Remember, they are a no-​returns store, so after we purchased these dresses, we were stuck. Strike one – this should have been enough to say forget it.
Then I asked about my dress – one I liked online. It was there, but it was in a size that was too small for me. The dress ran about $ 399 on clearance. I loved it. I asked again, is it available online? The consultant looked on her iPad and told me it wasn’t. THIS WAS A LIE AGAIN. I ended up with a MUCH more expensive dress that I loved, but as I tried on dresses, we were left to our own devices as she went to help another bride. Strike two.
When we were looking at bridesmaid dresses, we mentioned that the maid of honor was going to be about 8 months pregnant on my wedding day, so we were needed a maternity dress for her. The consultant didn’t tell us they had maternity dresses in store, so we tried to make do with regular dresses, trying to figure out how to alter a larger dress down for a hugely pregnant woman. During all of this conversation, not once, did she (or the store manager) mention that they had about SEVEN DIFFERENT MATERNITY DRESSES IN STORE! (We later found this out by doing our own research and when we came back into the store, they helped the MOH and even gave her a fake belly to try on.) We ended up ordering a dress with them because of the convenience of being able to match colors, but I found out later Sweetheart Manor can also match colors. Strike three.
So fast forward to April: I have two of the four bridesmaid dresses. When we purchased the dresses, I was told 12 weeks; we are now on 15 weeks, and I’m also missing the flower girl dress I ordered in January. I called to see where they were, and all they did was make excuses as to where the dresses were. «They cut those to order,» «this color isn’t ordered often,» etc. NO apology for them being late, no information as to when they should be here, etc. The due date for them was THREE WEEKS AGO.
I went into the store to make an appointment for my undergarment fitting and alterations, because I have lost weight since I bought the wedding dress. This was about three weeks prior to the undergarment fitting. I was told if I came in about three weeks prior to my alterations for undergarments, we would have time to custom order a bra and corset to fit me. I told the women working that I had an unusually large bra size, and they said they could be able to order something in for me, and I would have it for my alterations appointment in three weeks after the undergarment fitting appointment.
On my undergarment fitting day, I showed up early and brought my dress with me as instructed. The sales lady was friendly, but again, they had told me that they could find something to fit me just to get me into the store. I tried on every possible size of corset, with a little help. The store manager suggested I go up in band size… ON A CORSET… the cups of all the bras never fit, and the one that came the closest was 4″ larger in the band size than my current bras, meaning it did nothing for my waistline. As we realized I wasn’t going to get a corset, I asked the sales girl to suggest where I could get a corset. She had no clue. Then, she went to talk to the manager to get information, but it seemed like they didn’t want to tell me where I could go to protect the store’s possible sales. I left the store in tears, struggling to pack up my dress, while the consultant helped someone else – during my appointment time.
I am cancelling my alterations with them and I will find someone who can help me. God help us if I don’t get those bridesmaids dresses in on time… if I am in a wedding again, I will wear nothing before I go again. Save yourself.

I visited Davids about a month ago to try on some dresses for my wedding in September. Since that’s coming up fairly quick in terms of ordering a gown I just tried on sample dresses on sale in my size. I was very impressed by their selection of plus sizes. That’s not to say they had a ton, but it was certainly the best option for plus size bridal in the treasure valley. My consultant was very sweet and helpful, as was the woman who greeted me and took my info. I tried on four or five gowns and none of them struck me, but I did find a lovely little floral crown there which I purchased to wear on the big day. And, in a twist of fate I ended up with a Davids Bridal dress after all through Craigslist! I am impressed by the quality, especially for a chain retailer. I will say the inside of the store is a little dated with ugly green carpet so it doesn’t give you the glamorous experience you receive at the other bridal shops in town. However it’s the dresses that count and if you’re plus size you can’t beat Davids.

Very surprised with my experience considering all of the negative comments, but maybe somebody listened and they are making an effort to improve.
I stopped by David’s in Boise the day prior to my formal appointment and they were super busy however I was greeted by the girl at desk in entry very kindly. I had assumed I would get a much different reaction when they realized I 1) did not have an appointment & 2) showed her a picture on my phone of a $ 99 sale dress I was interested in. She was very very friendly & even though they did not have the dress in stock, showed me other $ 99 options and found another one of the gowns I had on my phone.
I thought maybe I had just gotten lucky with her, but I had several people offer to help me and one even did some research on a gown displayed on mannequin, which was not definitely NOT $ 99, to see if it was on sale.
I didn’t try on any gowns so did not get the full experience but will update my review one we go back for full appointment, which I had to reschedule for next week.

This is absolute worst place to deal with. I got my bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal (they are all in different locations) and this store has by far been the worst. My bridesmaid that got her dress from this one came in 7 mos before my wedding she is almost 6ft tall and the person measuring her NEVER mentioned she could order a dress with extra length. The dress then came in and came in the wrong size so they had to reorder her dress. The 2^nd one came in and the zipper was broken and the hem was hacked, 3 inches short on one side so the dress was wrong AGAIN. Now the THIRD dress came and is wrong once again. We are 3 weeks away from the wedding and are still dealing with us. The store manager has nothing to say and is yet to give us a response from the district manager. It’s a mess and as a bride this is not what you want to be dealing with 3 weeks before your wedding!!!

Update: 2 years after my wedding and they are still selling my contact information. Got an unsolicited call the other day and was able to get some info from the caller that they had received my information from these guys.

TACKY!!! I can’t even begin to explain my awful experience. Luckily I had gone to Chic and Margonene’s prior to David’s bridal or I might have never bought a dress. The store is DIRTY. They give you one consultant but double book so you have no help getting on and off the dresses. You feel bad taking the consultant away from the other bride but clearly they don’t care. I wandered the store for close to 30 minutes WITH an appointment before someone helped. All the dresses they put me in where way too big so they could push their very expensive altering department. I asked at the Chic how much altering should cost and it is double at Davids. Not to mention they like to put you in their own undergarments so you can buy one more thing. All the designer dresses come with everything built it, but David’s just wants to make an extra buck. Who is DAVID? I would love to meet him face to face. I would NEVER buy a dress from here nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I walked in after visiting two other bridal shops and receiving first class treatment. In contrast, David’s is the Burlington Coat Factory of bridal dresses. And I think that is a huge compliment based on my experience there. I walked in without a greeting and wandered the shop for at least a half an hour without ANY acknowledgment from the sales staff. If I found a dress for 5.00 that made me look 20 pounds lighter at David’s, I wouldn’t buy it on principle. I do not recommend David’s and I would never buy a dress from there for ANY reason.

I went in on a Friday afternoon (1pm) and they only had 1 dress consultant working which seems a little crazy. I was hesitant to even go in here because of the horror stories which seem to happen at every one of these places but my experience at my first store was less than satisfactory and I needed a dress.
They let me know they didn’t have any appointments open but I was welcome to look. After pulling three dresses, I asked if I could get a fitting room and too my surprise the cashier found me undergarments and tried her best to help me. Even more to my surprise the consultant checked on me several times even though she couldn’t help me with the entire process. I ended up buying a dress and was able to take it home with me because it was the correct size.
Of course, as soon as I decided I wanted to buy a dress I had the consultants full attention as she tried to get me to buy all the accessories and sign up for the credit card. I escaped the hard sell with just the dress!
I wouldn’t recommend if you have other options but this was a great place to go in a pinch! And I have to give the reception lady a shout out for doing her best for me (she had only worked there 5 days!).

I had never been wedding dress shopping before but my best friend is getting married so we recently had a Saturday apointment at David’s Bridal. It was our 2^nd stop of 3 and the experience was so terrible compared to what we had at the place we went before (a smaller shop in town).
It was very busy, which is understandable on a Saturday, but it is awful having to share a bridal consultant with another bride-​to-​be. The service wasn’t personal at all, and because we had to share the consultant, she wasn’t around for a lot of help. We ended up going into the fitting room and helping her try on dresses because the lady went MIA towards the end for awhile. We really just couldn’t wait to leave. Most of the associates weren’t dressed very classy either, I felt like they could overall be a little more professional. The store manager did introduce herself but didn’t realize her employee was not giving the best service. They did have a couple of dresses that were possibilities but in the end the whole experience was just terrible.

This place is just awful. They have a wide variety of dresses, I was shopping here with my bridesmaids for their dresses. For the first appointment, I went with one of them to find the style we liked best. I had an appointment, but the lady that was helping us was useless. We had to figure everything out by ourselves — she was impossible to find. When I did locate her, she asked if she could get us anything else because was leaving for her lunch break… Should have been my first clue to go somewhere else, but since I have bridesmaids out of state, the convenience outweighed the poor service. The dress the girls ended up with is pretty, I was happy with it, but after we ordered it, we find out that there is going to be a $ 100 charge FOR A HEM (dresses were $ 149)!!! What the hell! Not to mention it takes 8 weeks to even get them.
On top of that, I wanted to find a slip for my dress (thank goodness I bought my dress elsewhere)! I made an appointment over the phone to do that, should have been a quick appointment so I thought. When I get there, they don’t even have me on their schedule, so I wait 15 minutes for them to even get someone to help me. I knew what slip I wanted to try on, so I tried it on, but it sits high, right under bust, since my dress is low backed, I asked if they had any other options… She says she’ll go look and comes back with the same thing in a different size. I told her that wouldn’t work once again, but she puts it in the dressing room and takes off to help someone else. At this point, I left. This place sucks. Please go somewhere else!!!

I’m a first time bride at 43. And i went to David’s.And ALL the dresses that were on sale weren’t in stock. And the ones i asked to try on from the catalogue weren’t available The sales girl was sweet but was pulled away every few minuets. I got no assistance getting in and out of the dresses, which I struggled with. I found a dress but while the other MUCH younger brides were getting applause and bells rang when they found a dress I got NOTHING. I basically carried the dress to the register paid for it and that was it. It was very underwhelming and dissapointing especially for my family not to mention me. So disappointed in the whole dress buying experience!

Their staff was unhelpful and irritating. We went in knowing exactly what we were looking for (bridesmaids) and the young man helping us rushed us along, wouldn’t let us grab more than 2 dresses to try on, and after all that he didn’t even have a room ready for us. We finally got the dresses ordered and they told us it would be 6 to 8 weeks, after 8 weeks I called to ask where my dress was and they said it would be an additional 4 weeks. I think they messed up. When the dress finally did come in they said they would only hold it for 14 days even though I had already paid for it. Terrible experience every time I had to communicate with them.

First of all I can see why this Davids bridal location has a one star rating. It was the worst dress buying experience. First of all we had an appointment but was treated like we didn’t. I was there to buy all parts of my wedding outfit and brides maids dresses, but after I said yes to the dress they practicality pushed us out the door. It didn’t make sense. After I met with my consultant she had me and my family comb through the racks and pick out my own dresses. she quickly helped me into my picks and then ran off to help with another bride. I then was left for quite a bit of time between dresses, meanwhile the «manager» was standing silently behind us not helping or introducing herself. It was awkward. Finally I picked my favorite and was ready to buy. She said that she was giving us a «deal» but it turns out it was the same discount that was online. She didn’t help with finding me a veil or jewelry. We got up to the front and she said the one that I pulled off the rack was the one I was purchasing! Even though it was a size to big and I didn’t get a chance to inspect it to make sure there wasn’t anything on the dress from other people trying it on. After I paid for it she said all sales are final. It was such a horrible time. I hope nobody wastes their time at this location, because it will make a happy experience a frustrating one!

Employees need to have customer service training. Extremely rude and have failed to see customers come into their shop, when no other customer is in the shop. I had to go in, look around for 30 minutes, leave, and come back again before anyone even acknowledged me, and she made me feel like I was wasting her time. Also, how come they never have the color or size I need, but can order it (if I pay the shipping), and it takes longer to get it than if I order it myself online. Plus, if I order it online, I don’t have to pay the shipping! This is the third time I have gone in, so it’s not an isolated incident. But the third time is definitely the charm, because I won’t go in again, or recommend the store to anyone else.

The dresses are ok, I found mine elsewhere.
What I would caution people on is providing your personal information. I was hesitant, said I didn’t want my personal information shared with anyone. They said no problem, you don’t need to provide us with anything, except your phone number, that is how we’ll enter your dress preferences into our computer so that you can access them should you return and buy the dress. We won’t share it with others.
But they did and now I get calls from multiple photographers, tux rentals, djs, etc., etc.
Watch out! They must make money off their database of info!

trash. & rudeness. shitty dresses for cheap, no style differences. everything looked the same. very bland. not a big choice of hair pieces/​shoes etc. I would not shop here. I had a very rude and bad experience.
