Garbonzos Pizza

Disclaimer — The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because the young man that waited on us was very pleasant. We walked into an empty restaurant and all the tables were dirty. The place was dead silent — some low volume music would help. We ordered, then went to the grocery store next door to grab some items between our wait for food. When we returned all the tables were still dirty and there was some extremely loud repair work going on in the kitchen. Daughter and I went to wash our hands the bathroom was dingy and to no surprise the paper towels were empty. We stepped out and informed someone (with our hands dripping wet — you think we’d be offered some napkins) and had to wait for the aforementioned nice young man to refill the paper towel dispenser. After drying my hands I then proceeded to the salad bar. I’m not sure how sanitary it was, but I filled my plate and then went to add dressing. All of the dressing containers had barely one scoop left so I chose the one with the most dressing so I didn’t have to go ask for help (slow to help). You’d think with it being totally dead, and us gone to the grocery store for 15 min AFTER ordering a salad bar, and with them knowing we were leaving for a stint and returning, that the the salad bar would have been stocked. Regardless, I got my salad, our pizza was delivered, and we sat to eat. Then, that loud annoying construction project forced us out. It was a super windy day but we couldn’t handle the noise, so tried to sit outside. Our thin paper plates got blown away, so we ended up getting a box to go, called it quits and ate in the truck. I won’t EVER go back. My husband and daughter had gone here a year ago and told me it was the worst pizza place ever. I thought I’d give it my own try. I should have went with his opinion. The pizza wasn’t horrible but I’d rather order Diggs or Idaho Pizza which are both close and deliver, and I know I will get quality food.

Great Pizza!!! We ordered it on super bowl Sunday. never eaten there before. The staff. Was really nice and professional. You can tell they take pride in all they do. Will be eating here again for sure!!! We had pizza and it was very tasty! look forward to having more or their pizza. Might even try something else for the fun of it.

I’ve only had their lunch buffet and several times. The lunch buffet is cheap and very good. The salad bar has an average selection but you also get ayce pizza, breadsticks, desert cinnasticks, and a fried potato yumminess. Stop by and have lunch when you can.

2 pizzas cost over 50 bucks and they were very bland. The inside of the business looked unclean. I won’t be making that mistake of going there again.

Save some «dough» try something else. That said it made for a memorable experience, one that I don’t plan on repeating ever again.
Confused by the good reviews? I suspect these individuals enjoy frozen pizza and school cafeteria pizza as well.

Their pizza in my opinion had no flavor and according to my mom they didn’t look happy at all. Pauls pizza has more flavor than there’s. Though I have yet to try their Cinnamon pizza which smelled good

We love the pizza & bread sticks & get the special for $ 22 +/​-​for xlg 2 topping, 2 liter & breadsticks –delivered. The dough is especially good. I can’t say this was true a year ago but I understand there is a new owner & it has improved greatly. (Whoever complained about $ 24 being a lot for 2 lg 2 topping pizzas which feeds 6 –7 people at least under $ 4 each must not eat out much!) Service is always great.

Pretty good pizza and a friendly laid back staff. Between Garbonzos and Diggs, there’s no reason to order chain delivery in the 83 709 zip code.
I recommend the cheese bread with any pizza. It’s all good stuff though.

This is the second time we’ve had pizza from here in the past few years. We don’t always think about it and that’s why it’s been such a long time in-​between visits. It’s been so long since the last order, I can’t remember what it was.
This time, we looked over the menu and being from Chicago, I immediately saw they offered a deep dish Chicago style pizza. Having VERY LOW expectations for any pizza claiming to be Chicago style deep dish outside of Illinois, I thought what the heck, lets try it!!! We ordered the deep dish Chicago style pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple.
Unfortunately, I saw the pizza being finished and was immediately disappointed. I saw the pizza come out of the oven and let rest. Then I saw the sauce poured over the top. Ugh! Sacrilege!!! Sauce is to be baked with the pizza to create a melded flavor. The dough was good but the taste of the sauce killed it for me for Chicago style.
Though disappointed with this order, I will give this place another chance for sure. The customer service was excellent! The employees answered all our questions and never looked down on us once for asking questions.

We’ve lived in the area awhile and have never eaten here before until tonight and we are so glad we did! We’re feeling lazy so we chose delivery… they estimated 40 mins and we’re here in much less time! I chose fettachini with regular pasta sauce and my husband had the Great Gorbonzo sandwich. Both were delicious! Pasta was fresh and I loved the sauce, you could really smell the spices. My husband ate his sandwich in record time so it was obviously great as well we also chose the monkey bread after reading other reviews and glad we did! Can’t go wrong with icing over soft warm bread! We will definitely be ordering again!

This is our only call for pizza delivery. We love these guys. The pizza and service are both great.

I tried the delivery and was hooked! The crust is soft and pillowy with a delightful chewiness. They don’t skimp on the cheese, and the salad bar offers a great variety of typically (once or twice I’ve been disappointed) fresh offerings. But that is not why I frequent the 7.99 (6.99 with no drink) lunch buffet every other week — it is the monkey bread! These cinnamon sugar nuggets dripping with frosting goodness stuff are amazing. I consume a seemingly impossible amount every time. Not to be missed, and the delivery version is even better.

Amazing food!!! It may seem a tiny bit spendy, but you gotta remember, this is Specialty pizza, not some pizza hut sideshow.
On top of that, they have a new owner and management and it shows! The pizza is tastier and way less oily. Also, anyone out there looking for the perfect pizza: Pepperoni and Buffalo Chicken on Ranch!
The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because a few workers there tend to not service customers very well. The rest, however, do indeed know customer service, and if they make the smallest mistake, they more than make up for it!

This place failed in all areas regarding pizza. It was edible, but not worth a second try. Salad wasn’t noteworthy either. A big bummer to a pizza fan

Three words, best pizza ever. Seriously. I live in the Seattle area and travel to Boise a few times a year and one of the very first things I do upon arrival is schedule a lunch date at Garbonzos. The crust is the kind that is slightly crunchy on the outside and gooey amazing deliciousness in the middle. The sauce and cheese are out of this world, and if you want an amazing party in your mouth, try the cinnamon monkey bread bites. Simply gorgeous. My very favorite pizza is the southwestern chicken. It has bbq sauce topped with chicken, chili’s and covered with cheese. Mmmmm… so good. Prices are very reasonable.
The staff are all very nice, restaurant is clean, there’s a party room (which we use every time), you have the option of take and bake, and the best part is lunch is both salad and pizza buffet. If there is ever a pizza that we want that isn’t there we just ask for it and they’ll make it.
